ANIME CONVENTIONS FTW!!!!!
Alright, I was just at the Middle Tennessee Anime Convention (MTAC) this weekend and it was awesome!!!! This was my first convention, but I'm POSITIVE it won't be my last. Sadly, I only got to enjoy the con for one full day (Saturday) But it was honestly 150% the best day of my entire life. I met sooooo many cool people. I even got to meet Jonny Bosch (Ichigo from Bleach/ Vash the Stampede ^_^) and Greg Ayres (Koyuki from Beck ^_^ ^_^ ^_^). Those guys are really nice!! The rave Saturday night was AWESOME (too bad they had to shut it down early.) If you wanna hear even more about my experience there, or if you just want some pictures. Hello there everybody... well everybody who still bothers to come visit. This will preobably seem like a waste of time to most of you, but I've GOT to ask the all important question: Are beards cool?
I've been growing my beard for a while now, nothing outrageous, but I keep it at a nice stroking length. I get comments all the time about it. Most of them are things like "Wow, I wish I could grow one." or "Dude, that beard makes you look so much older." But sometimes I get a comment like "You should really consider shaving that." or the always popular "You look like somebody's dad."
Now I'm not old by any means (a nice youthful 16), so you can see why the whole "You look like somebody's dad." comment isn't exactly what I'd like to hear. I admit, I think it's cool to look older and more sophisticated, but somebody's DAD!? I mean seriously!
So what is your view on beards? I'm actually very interested in what other people have to say about the subject of chin warmers. Comments
