2nd Chapter - FMA Fanfic
Yesh. This is the second chapter of my fanfic! Once, again it isn't edited well so bare with my writing errors!
But enjoy!
---
“What do you want now, Colonel?” Ed huffed, slouching down on the sofa.
“Sorry for bothering you, but I thought you’d like to know that there’s a homunculus in the neighborhood,” the Colonel sighed, cleaning up his desk.
“You’re kidding, right?” Ed exclaimed.
“I wish I was, but it’s totaled two cars, killed 3 men and injured 20,” the Colonel continued, “Hawkeye, and Armstrong at the latest spot where it was last seen.”
Ed sighed, “Let me guess, you want me to check it out? And how do you know it’s a homunculus?”
“Hawkeye reported back an hour ago, and she said that there was a strange tattooed plastered over the thing’s head, it looked like the ouroboros-thing,” the Colonel replied.
Edward was about to say something when the ring of the Colonel’s telephone interrupted him. The Colonel picked up the phone off it’s cradle,
“Yes?” his eyes widened, “What? What do you mean that thing has Armstrong’s arms??! How is that possible??”
“Wha?” Ed looked stunned.
The Colonel looked annoyed, “Stop messing around! Get off the hooch!”
He slammed the phone back on its cradle. He seemed very angry,
“W-what’s wrong?” Ed stuttered.
“Some damn drunk soldier is saying that that thing has Armstrong’s arms, like a copy-cat!”
Mustang fumed as he slipped on his gloves and headed for the door,
“C’mon Fullmetal! I need to set that soldier straight!”
“Right!” Ed nodded.
Meanwhile, downtown Central, Hawkeye hid in an alley, both hands on her gun ready to pull the trigger. Why doesn’t this make any sense?? She thought, breathing heavily. Something rustled in the darkness over the alley. She quickly pointed her gun into the darkness and pressed the trigger. A shot rang out as it sounded like it hit a brick wall.
“Come out, come out where ever you are!” she softly called out.
Nothing responded. Hawkeye moved closer into the darkness, still holding her gun in front of her, ready to shoot. She walked slowly and steadily. Suddenly, something stirred in the darkness again. She popped another round off as she heard it again.
“Hawkeye?”
She jumped as she spun around, almost pulling the trigger. She stopped herself before she realized that she would have shot the Colonel.
“Colonel?” she said as she began to walk towards him.
Suddenly, she heard a strange noise in behind her. Before she could react, a gun was pointed to the back of her head; her own gun. What was even stranger, the hand that was holding the gun appeared to Hawkeye’s as well. The blue of the military uniform could be seen. The Colonel held out his hand, ready to snap his fingers to ignite a flame but he stopped as he saw the colour of the military uniform.
“What the?” the Colonel gasped.
“Did you find the Lieutenant?” Al asked as he and Ed appeared behind the Colonel.
“Wha? What’s going on?” Ed exclaimed.
“D-d-don’t move!” the person in the dark said softly to Hawkeye, “I don’t know how to use this thing, but I’ll make do,”
“Who are you?” Hawkeye asked.
“I’ve been asking myself the same thing, but from what I have heard— I am a homunculus,”
Hawkeye’s eyes widened,
“What do you want?”
“I don’t know—“
Hawkeye began to turn, but the mysterious person was faster and clocked Hawkeye on the head with the bottom of the gun. Hawkeye fell to the ground, the mysterious person whimpered,
“Oh no! I did it again, why are people making me do this?”
“I command that you reveal yourself, or I will be forced to use force,” the Colonel’s anger flared as he grinded his fingers together, causing sparks.
“NO! Just leave me alone!” the hand disappeared into the dark, “I didn’t mean to! Honest!”
“That sounds like what a child would say,” Ed said.
“Who are you? Why did you do that to the Lieutenant?” Al called out.
“Why is everybody asking me that?? I DON’T KNOW I AM!” the person cried.
Suddenly, a figure darted out of the shadows, and ran towards the alchemists. The Colonel snapped his fingers and flames appeared, heading towards the escaping figure. The figure quickly launched itself in the air; it sped over top of Mustang. He looked up at the figure and got a better visual of his perp. It was a young woman, clothed in red fabric and a black corset. Her head was half bald and on the bald region, red scribbles were tattooed, along with an ouroboros.
“STOP!” Ed exclaimed as he transmuted his automail to his spear.
The girl ignored him as she landed on the ground behind them. She began to make the corner when a giant blast of rock plowed her over. A piece of rock appeared and smacked her right in the face. She fell backwards, but caught herself by pushing upwards with her arms (that still appeared as Hawkeye’s.) She began to bounce back up when her arms literally broke off from her twisting her body.
“Oh shit!” she exclaimed as noticed her arms broke off.
She fell on the ground. After the dust and dirt settled, a large outline of a human appeared in the alleyway; it was Armstrong.
“I suggest that you listen next time, you bohemian,” Armstrong said to her.
She laid still; her eyes were concentrated on Armstrong, watching every move that he made. Everything fell silent, as the alchemist spotted the girl’s arms. They were completely broken off. They still appeared like Hawkeye’s; one still held the gun. Both twitched as in moments later, they disintegrated into dust.
“She broke her arms… Literally,” Al gulped.
“Who the Hell are you? I’m sick of your games!” Mustang bellowed as he picked up the girl by the shoulders and slammed her against the wall.
“I – do – not – know! You bastard!” she replied.
“Tell me!” he shoved her in the wall again.
“Colonel…” Ed sounded worried.
“You’re hurting her,” Al added.
“Yes, you’re hurting me!” she cried.
“I will let you go if you tell me who you are,” he grinded his teeth, lying.
“I told you---”
He pressed his fingers into her skin, she winced with pain. All of a sudden, a crooked smile appeared on her face…
