WOOOOOO.

Just dropping by for a quick note.

Today's my Otaku-versary. Hooray. I think that's four years now on myO. I really don't remember. But yeah, I've been here forever. And still have so few pageviews and whatnot. XD Sorry, no drawing...Didn't have time to scan anything new...I've been working SUPER hard on all the requests I've been given here so far (seriously, it's like ALL my friends and ALL of my host family needs a drawing), but I didn't scan some of them cuz I had to give them out right away. *sigh*

Tomorrow starts our regular two-week block of tests. Joy. At least it's only physics. Then Friday is math...The hard stuff starts next Wednesday - HISTORY. *dies* I hate how ALL the tests from ALL our subjects always falls on the same two weeks. GRA! And we have 11 classes too, so that basically means a test every day for two weeks (unless we have more than one test on the same day, which is even worse). Yeah. Won't be on for a while.

Oh yes. Tomorrow's Thanksgiving. We don't have anything here. T_T But oh well. Just have to survive for another three weeks, and we'll have our own national holiday. Then another two weeks after that, and it's winter break. I can't wait for school to be over with, but I feel like my time here's passing by way too quickly...I'm leaving the 11th of January. A Friday. In the morning. I'll be going off all by myself without my friends to send me off cuz they'll have to go to school. :( God...I only have like six more weeks left....*cries*

Well...Friday's my brother's 13th birthday. A teenager already...They grow up so fast. XD I didn't get him anything cuz I've just been so busy studying (SHOULD be doing ethics hw right now, RH...), and plus with the mailing fees and everything....Gra. But I'll see if I can call him...It might cost my host family a lot, but I'll try to keep the conversation short, and I'm sure they'll understand...When my family visited in October they loved him. Like the rest of the world, lol. He's such a sweetheart. Lots of Down's kids are. <33

Sweefundunger
Blleeeehhh.....

Well nothing really happened this week. Our English teacher gave me a Spanish book to read. Like a literary novel. Like adult-level literary novel. I'm still in the prologue, and I already have the pages COVERED with notes. And he wants me to have 19 pages done by Monday...X___X While I'm enjoying the book (when I understand it...and yes, already...it's looks like a really good book), it's SUPER hard.

Today I went to a "wedding." It's the FIFTIETH anniversary of the grandparents of my host family. It wasn't really a wedding, though...more like a MASSIVE lunch. Yeah. Now I feel STUFFEDSTUFFEDSTUFFED. Forget dinner. Forget breakfast, too...And forget half of lunch tomorrow. X_____X But it was fun. Their relatives are kinda crazy, and after the wine...XD Plus we got to dress up and everything for it. I got the ends of my hair curled...but they're like BIG curls, not little strands (which I personally think would look better on me)...I felt kinda weird with it, but everyone said it looked nice, so meh. I still hope my hair straightens out on its own by Monday though. >________<

Anyways. Should get reading. Please check the one new fanart!! I worked especially hard on this one...

Oh my gosh!!! Sorrysorrysorrysorry I haven't been on in forever and a half. We just had two solid weeks of teststeststests and SUPER hard tests too, so I've been studying my culo off. Cuz the tests here...they ask such general questions. Like on history, he just said, "The Reform." And we have to remember to put EVERYTHING we know about the Reform. GOD. If it's just little questions like, "What was Calvinism?" I could do it. But with such big problems...X_X

BUT WE JUST HAD OUR LAST ONE TODAAAAYYY!!!!! *boogies* PLUS there's no homework today PLUS we have Thursday and Friday off this week due to Fiesta de todos los santos and OMGOMGOMGOMG I'm sooooooo haaapppyyy!!!! ^_______^

And I got a 10/10 (yeah, tests here are only 10 points...so miss two little problems and it's an automatic B in the US. -__-) on my Greek/Roman history test and my sophomore math tests. I got an 8/10 on my junior math test, though I have no idea how because I can't even BEGIN to describe how unfairly strict (okay, I don't mind strict, but when you take off points from someone who didn't know that you had corrected a problem because she had arrived a little late from being kept by the previous teacher, it's a bit overboard) he is, AND I got at least two problems wrong, each of which was 1.25 points. But I'm shutting up about that. >_> I think I did well on physics today, and in bio/geo....Well, it was mostly multiple choice, but a lot of them could have been two different answers, so I'm not too sure... .___.

I'm kinda stressing over my ethics test too. Cuz I didn't really know how to explain the concepts. And in history...I hope I didn't leave out anything. And the thing is that he freaking DOCKS points for putting extra info. Which is la tonteria del mundo. And I put extra in the last test cuz I wasn't sure exactly what it was he was looking for...=( I think my literature test went pretty well though. And English...Well I'm not too worried about that class. XD

Anyways, I've been getting a ton of requests for drawings from my friends recently, so I should get working on those...One more fanart too.

Sweeeefffffffffff. Undunger.
I'm totally not stalling to study for my Greece/Roman history test. Of course not. Nor my ethics homework. Nor my math homework. Nor my literature homework and of course not my bio/geo homework.

Yeah. Having a blast here. >.> Really not doing so well on the tests. It's way harder to get a good grade here than in the US because they go by numbers - each test is worth 10pts only and a lot of times only 5 questions, so if you just miss one tiny question it's automatically an 8 = 80% = B in the US. Plus the only thing that enters in the final grade are test grades and rarely classwork/homework. I need to keep up my 4.0, which means i need to end up with at least a 9/10 in every class here. Which means I need at least a 9.9 on all the rest of my sophomore math tests (I was a complete idiot that day and got a 6.5 because I was careless on 3 of the problems), a 9.7 on all the rest of my junior math tests (apparently they've done something I haven't and it was on the test, so I didn't know how to do it), and probably 9.9 on history too...Still don't know. God. Physics/chem. and bio./geo. I'm not worried about...

Last weekend (the 7th) was the birthday of the daughter of my host family (Maria Isabel). On Saturday night we went clubbing with her friends (I got asked to dance and/or make out by a couple random guys...I said no. XD A lot of the people there were like, "Look! A Chinese girl!" or, "Look! A shortie!!" XD), and on Sunday we probably ate a total of 4000 calories. Yeah. I felt pretty terrible Monday. We threw a surprise party too for her on Sunday, which was really fun. :)

This Thursday my mom's coming to visit me from Germany (she's on some work thing there) and my step-dad and my brother from the US. While I'm excited to see my brother...My mom not so much. I miss my doggie though. :( My mom's been going crazy and calling me and my friend's mom and just basically freaking out about it. Friday's a national holiday and they won't be able to do anything, really...And for the weekend we've already booked a hotel in Valencia, but there've been floods recently in Valencia...And so my mom's been changing her plans this way and that, and I'm trying to keep up with her so I know what the hell we're doing and what to ask my host family's mom to do as far as picking them up/dropping them off goes or for visits or for who-knows-what. Ugh. >_>

sweefunnndunger...
ack....i really should be studying for my history test tomorrow.....it's a whole buttload of memorizing and i'm only halfway through so far. TT_TT but i'm a procrastinator. so.

anyways....we finished our fitness testing in PE at last. for the sit-ups and push-ups i got really good scores (better than everyone except for the really strong guys....did better than my guy friend XD)...for our jumps (yep we had to jump back and forth over a huge mat thing) i did really bad....>_> sprints i did pretty bad too...but on our 12-minute run i got 12.5 laps, which was 2nd to best out of the girls....though that isn't saying much, since the girls in our class don't really play sports. ugh. at least i'm finally starting volleyball now. ^^

oyoyoyoyoyoy....we've had so many tests recently! we just finished our tests that were supposed to be on the stuff they learned last year....and of course i did pretty terribly on those...but we're just starting the first tests of this year's material....i got 9.5/10 (yeah, only 10pts/test...so miss 2pts and it's an automatic B. they ask really vague questions too, so you never really know exactly what to study. it freaking SCARES me.) on our physics test because i switched the values of some variables in the formula.....which really pisses me off. cuz i could have gotten a 100%. but no. i just had to be a careless idiot. >_> que gilipollas soy...

oh yes. last weekend i went clubbing with my host family's daughter and her friends. here they have clubs that allow only minors during certain times, so we can actually go clubbing! =D lol it was fun....and one of us got our butt pinched, another got asked to dance TWICE....and i got my butt slapped, but i think it was a joke...cuz when i turned around, there was a group of guys..and since none of them were looking at me i just went back to dancing w/ my friends and i heard laughter behind me. then someone tapped me on the shoulder and when i turned around, AGAIN no one was looking at me. yeah. being asian in spain can earn you stuff like that. -__- slap a super-short, chubby asian on the butt and hahahahahaha. >_>

Sweefundunger Voice for You
Ooo. New theme. .____. It's a piccy of one of my fanarts...And the "Voice for you" thing is the title of the duet that the seiyuu of Shikamaru and Temari sing. Oh my GOD you have no idea how happy I was when I realized that they had actually sang a duet together. And yes, that song above is "Voice for You." Not particularly great, but any ShikaTema works. XD So. Yes. I'm completely open to suggestions about the theme, because I am aware it sucks.

Anyways. Literature test tomorrow. In Spanish. Ohhhh boy am I excited. >_O Been studying since last Wednesday for it, so I hope I'm prepared. I have all the stuff memorized (seriously, it's SO stupid - we have to memorize the different types of communication in society, the different types of texts, how to mark coherence within texts and what they're called...etc.). And as far as analyzing sentences go, which is the 2nd part, I've been practicing a lot using their method, and I pretty much got it down.

But we also have to run tomorrow in PE...which is FIRST PERIOD on Wednesdays. We have to run 12 minutes and see how many laps we can make, not just run a mile like in the US. At least running the mile you don't have to run for so freaking long!! Ugh. Well...We have PE at 8:00 in the morning (yes! They start school really late here!! =D), so at least it'll be a little cooler when we run. =/

   Sweefundunger whee~!
Woot~! My sweet 16!!!

Heh. It's Shikamaru's, Frodo's, and Bilbo's birthdays too. =p

Anywho. Last night, I went home with my friend Natalia after school and we finished our hw. Then our friends Jorge and Luis came over, we walked to the supermarket to buy some drinks for the planned party, we walked back home, waited for Manuel to call us so that we can go to his house (it was in his basement), walked out to meet Alex, walked to Manuel's house, and ate pizza and chatted. And did trivia (the only thing I knew was that the previous tallest building was in Toronto - now it's in Taipei!! Woot!!!) and charades. Manu's little sister, who's like a little dangerous ball of fire, came down and started yelling at her brother because she wanted to join too. XD lol Anywho, later they gave me a really cute card that they all signed and a giant, SUPER soft frog plushie. OH MY GOD I LOVE IT. <3333333333 And they were bragging about how "original" they were, coming up with the idea of celebrating someone's birthday in a basement. Gotta love them.

This morning, Nati took me to her Chinese painting class (yes she is Taiwanese like me), which was fun even though it was super-hard and I suck with a Chinese brush in my hand. >___> Then we had Italian for lunch (YUUMMMM), went shopping (she got a cute headband and a really cool ring;, I got a pair of jeans ^_^), and then went back home and picked up my stuff, and they sent me back to my host family's house. And I made a mistake. When they told me that they were gonna take me to eat Chinese food for my birthday, they meant lunch, not dinner. >_> But we're going tomorrow so yeah. After I got back, our neighbor and my friend Marina came over and gave me ANOTHER plushie!!!! OMG and it's just as soft as the froggie!!! It's a kitty too. ^^ Aaaah how I love stuffed animals. =3

Yup. So that's my birthday today. =p

WOW.

okay. so on tuesday i was able to finally.....er....finalize my schedule (yeah my english is steadily de-proving now). when they have french 4 on mondays and tuesdays, i go to a level higher in math. when they have literature on thursdays and english on fridays, i go to math. so now i'm in both their math class and my own level's, but w/e. at least now i don't have to take french AND i can take a level higher in math. *breathes* i'm bringing a calendar of washington (yes i'm from washington...not DC, mind...the STATE) and a starbucks mug (hehehe we are such coffee addicts there, with starbucks, tully's, and seattle's best - no duh - all starting in seattle) for him for all the trouble. actually, my mom just told me to do it.

anyways. we're having tests this week and the beginning of next week. they don't count on the final grade or anything, but if you get too low a score they'll suspend you. we started with physics/chem (it's 1 class) today. and i've NEVER done physics OR chem before, and they have, and these tests are supposed to be on the past year...so the night before i spent like from 6pm-12am studying from their old book. i still DEFINATELY am gonna get suspended though, for my score today....cuz in order to answer the questions, we had to know both the formulas (which i had memorized and knew) and the atomic numbers and crap of the elements (which of course i did not know). i couldn't exactly memorize the entire periodic table of elements in 1 night. ('course...it is kinda my fault for not memorizing it over the summer, since i was planning to do that anyways.) so. yeah. i answered each of the questions only half-way. some i just left blank. oh god. at least when i warned the teacher about my score, he was really nice about it. still, i'm dead. >___________<

mmmm other news....saturday's my 16th birthday....and yes, i'm spending it here studying abroad in spain. they don't have a big party for your sweet 16 here though....so far the plan is i go to my friend natalia's house friday night, we finish our hw, drive to our friend manuel's house, where we'll meet up with jorge and luis, watch movies, eat popcorn and pizza, go back to nati's house, sleep over, saturday morning spent shopping (yes, i am such a girl), go back to my host family's house, spend dinner w/ them at a chinese restaurant (i've been missing asian food recently...even though that's ALL i have back home, being taiwanese...), then go back home and eat cheesecake. cuz i don't like cake cake. =p

hehe. it's shikamaru's, frodo's, and bilbo's birthdays too. ^^

lalalalaa....

oh yeah! today's the 15th!! that means it's kakashi's bday!!!! YAAAYYY!!!! *throws confetti* i am such a fangirl. =p unfortunately, however...i admit i forgot about it yesterday, so i'm still working on my drawing of him....TT_TT

as far as my schedule goes, i STILL (*fumes*) couldn't find the director to talk to....but i happened to notice him outside after school, while we were waiting for my host family's mom to pick us up....i got to talk to him for a few minutes before we had to go. he said that he'd pull me out of french and talk to the math teacher on monday. GOD this is so frickin' frustrating. i want to go UP a level in math and either pull out of french or take french 1.....i DON'T want to stay in the same class for math and just have the teacher give me harder stuff...cuz on my transcript when i transfer my credits from here back to the US....it'll show up as the level i took last year. and they might make me fricking repeat it. as far as french goes, i really don't care...i am NOT taking french when i get back anyways. uuugggghhh....and this is taking way too long too. i DON'T want to miss out on more in the classes i want to switch to....it's already difficult enough to understand completely what's being taught...

anyways...i looked back through my archives...and found out that i've had faramir here since march! =O yes, i love him that much....but well, okay...shikatema theme next. :p once i finish my kakashi drawing. and the drawing of a racecar that my host family's son wants me to do for him. oyoyoyoyoy....oh yeah....bio hw too. >_> at least i finished the rest...*sigh*

hee. at least i get to go to the movies w/ my friends today. ^_^
