ANYWHO. technically i was able to go on myO on wednesday...but i've just been stressing out over an english essay....which was due today...so now it's much more relaxing...though i don't think i did very well on it. >_______>

and you know what's weird? the day after my recital i just kept playing and playing my song over and over again, but i still could not play it to perfection. about five days later, i sit down at the piano (without even warming up!) and start to play it. and THEN it's perfect. -_____- gar. it was supposed to be like that on the day of my recital, not a week after. *irritated*

ok. got that out of my system. ^.^ school has been a butt recently, but i now officially have one hour and eight mintues until "spring break" (put in quotation marks because it's only monday-wednesday off, since we have to make up for so many snow/storm days). then the monday after spring break i have a math paper due.

yes, a paper in MATH.

arrrgh.

okay...yeah...not much else going on. O_o my teacher has given me a current total of like 10 pieces for piano. >____O buuuut we only really work on 3. lol i still need to practice the others...

aaaaaaaand i have been doing a lot of drawing recently. but mostly for others. i have a couple commissions and several contests from gaia. i ish addicted. >_<

OH yes. i almost forgot.
ankoku: the recital piece was a chopin e minor waltz.
everyone else: no, actually, i was not PMSing. my period's not coming for a while....=/ aaaaaand frankly i'm not gonna grow vertically anymore. XD i'm past getting my period and past growing the few inches girls grow after that....and i'm still 4'11". don't laugh. x_____________________x

lol i do not understand all you legolas fans....though i definately find pippin VERY lovable. ^^ aaahhhh....BOTH eowyn and diamond took are lucky women. lol (what was diamond's maiden name...? i forgot. XD) speaking of which, i also made a pippin wallpaper and uploaded it onto my deviantart, huanbao....aaaaand it's linked to way up there somewhere in my profile. =p

i have been on a lotr roll lately. i just got started on a gandalf wall during class today. XD aaaaaand i'm feeling like drawing an eowyn/faramir pic. they are THE most PERFECT couple in that book. ^^

okay. enough about lotr. anywho. in school, people are taking the standardized tests and stuff for my state...and freshmen (which would be me) actually don't need to take it. but since last year's sophomores SUCKED at it (the average score for the math section was like...40%! and the average score for the reading section (the highest one of last year) was like...67%), we have to take a practice one this year. SUCKS. >_>

bah. i don't really feel like i'm trying hard enough in school though. recently i've just been trying to do things as quickly as possible so i can finish all the drawing ideas that i have before i forget them....ah well. big essay coming up in english. and i don't even understand the prompt. that should keep me busy. =p

SO. on a lighter note, i went shopping today~! x3 hey, i'm a girl, alright? lol i went to american eagle and got one of their tote bags, which was on sale for only like $15! so that was nice. and i got a gap gift certificate last christmas.....so i FINALLY used it today. lol i don't really like gap, but i got one of those necklaces that have the (red) thing on them.....you know, the thing that gap is doing for helping out with charities that are working against hiv/aids in africa? and they sell certain products of which 50% of the profits go to the charities. *nods* AND i got a headband. which was nice. XD

haha that reminds me...remember way back winter...like november-ish....gap had a sale? i noticed it on their ads and stuff....and remember what they called it? it was "the really big sale." ROFL!!

new layout. whee. it sucks. >_> i like the background, but it doesn't work well with the way the text is arranged. poo. and yes, i made this background out of my everlasting obsession and utter love of lord of the rings...especially of faramir.

eowyn is one lucky gal. =p

anywho. not much else happened. well i stayed up till 2:30 last night finishing english hw that i had been working on ALL DAY. *grumbles* but no hw today! =o it's like....once-in-a-lifetime! aaaaaaaaand.....i switched computers to a new laptop. yay me.

oh yes. i had a practice chinese SAT last saturday. i did it last year too and got REALLY bad on it...and i didn't do too much better this time around. a lot of the answers were really obvious, and i was just being stupid though...graaa....yeah we went over it in class after taking it (this is in chinese school) so we would know how we did.

hm. piano recital this sunday. charity auction i'm volunteering for this friday. mom gone on some conference thing (again) wednesday-friday. future step-dad helpless in an arm sling due to surgery on his shoulder.

anywho, there haven't really been anything new coming up...except that my mom and her fiance are now in dc attending some conference thing about stocks...=\ so. yeah.

OH YEAH and mexico actually wasn't that bad...i was just cranky when i wrote my last post....it wasn't THAT much fun, but it wasn't bad. so yeah. =)

okay. so i'm in mexico right now. while my friend kiki gets to be in taiwan, celebrating chinese new year.

i like the people here - they're very friendly and helpful and stuff....but....there's nothing to do. i mean we went on a glass-bottom boat the day before yesterday, but i got seasick. and yesterday we went horseback riding along the beach. and that was like...all we did. cuz we went on an invitation thing from mayan resorts (we're staying in a separate hotel though) to listen to their presentation on the new resort they're building. we were offered to buy our own condo/room in there and etc. etc. we did the same thing for the glass bottom boat day, but for a different hotel....they give us free tickets to stuff like going on a glass bottom boat and free breakfast, etc. for listening to their presentation.

well we ended up buying the mayan resort one, but because my mom and her fiance (who she calls her husband now, even though she hasn't even gotten a ring yet...and she calls him daddy when she's talking to my brother and me. >_> it just bugs me how incredibly infatuated she is with him...and he just calls her his fiance) are..i guess...smart buyers, they had all these questions and talked them through to get the very best deal possible...and what was supposed to take 90 minutes took SEVEN FREAKING HOURS.

while my brother and i simply sat there.

oh fun.

we're going on a "jungle cruise" tomorrow, which we're supposed to go snorkeling on. A LOT of fun - if only i didn't have my effing "cycle" right now. >_________>

...i miss my doggy. =(

oh, jeez...i haven't been here in forever. >_<

anywho, HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!!!!!!! YEAR O DA PIG!!!! *gives you pig plushies, red and gold confetti, and hong bao* ^_^

unfortunately my mom does not exactly consider holidays all that important and never does anything for chinese new year. :( we're supposed to clean the house, give money, go around to all our neighbors and give them gifts, and eat all kinds of yummy spiffy food. =9

and since for the first time in like 1348780236524368178582624671893458 years since the lunar new year fell on the same week as our mid-winter break, i REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY wanna go back to taiwan to celebrate.....

but NO. we're going to MEXICO.

i mean, mexico is warm and fun and all and has....okay food...but....this kind of thing isn't every gonna happen again...at least probably not while i am at school. then i'll have to go to college and then graduate school of course and by that's all over i probably won't get to go to taiwan very often anymore...:(

anywho, we're leaving on monday and coming back on sunday. so i won't be here for a while. =o

IN OTHER NEWS, today we (being a group of friends from my old school) threw a surprise party for cinfv and one of our other friends (yes, they have the same birthday - 6 hours apart!). their actual bday is tomorrow (sunday) but that would have been too suspicious. =/ but yeah. we went to red robin and saw because i said so. that is a HILARIOUS movie. and really cute too. <333

so yeah...that was a lot of fun!

IT'S FINALLY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!

*breathes* wow. school is so annoying. >_> history homework EVERY DAY. we had an essay due today too for english. 300 points right there. AH!!

OH and our math teacher just got back from maternity leave!!! her little baby is so cute! x3 she had some really really cute pictures....^_^ and i'm kinda glad the sub is finally gone now....she could barely speak english. so we pretty much missed out on a quarter's worth of learning. ah well. it's pre-calc! xp

HOLY CRAP I AM SO MAD AT OUR SCHOOL RIGHT NOW!!!! the final semester grades are supposed to be entered and everything by TODAY. so THIS ENTIRE WEEK i have been SO SO SO SO SO SO anxious as to what gpa i have. our school district has a really nice feature online which lets us check our grades anytime we want....and it gives us what we got on each of our assignments and everything too, which is nice....and it's been shut down the entire week so that teachers can enter in the final grades...AND IT SAID THAT IT'D BE BACK UP BY TODAY BUT NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IT'S NOT!!!!!!!!!

well all the teachers got STRAIGHT into the new semester....>___< now my schedule is spanish 3, honors bio, pe, honors english, foundations in world history, computer visual art, and pre-calc. history is SO boring. the teacher just talks the whole way. and you can barely hear him, too....>_>

he also said that he assigns homework every day.

oh boy-howdy am i excited. .__________.

computer art is okay....i guess...i actually really wanted to take drawing and painting, but i didn't get in....ceramics was a lot more fun..i had that last semester. it's the same teacher though...

and we have about 300 points going into our english grade by the fourth day of the semester. yup, essay. >_>

anywho, the good news is that our nanny from china just got her green card so she can go back to china to visit her husband now!! ^_^ and they haven't even seen each other in 10 years! we had a celebration dinner at a REALLY nice (and always packed lol) chinese restaurant on sunday with one of my old friends and her family. we haven't seen each other in about a year, and even then it was only an exchange of waves because it was at a volleyball match...and she was on the regionals team for the opposing school while i was on jv. so yesh.

we went "shopping" at the nearby bartell's. lol XD

HOORAY!!! FINALS ARE...well, finally OVER!!!!!!!! *runs around throwing confetti everywhere*

hehehehehe. ^-^

my spanish final went really well. there were 2 parts: a written final and an oral. i got 98% on the written part and 100% on the oral! wahoo!!!! ^_________^ and then biology seemed pretty easy.....though i don't know my score yet....our PE final was...okay...i guess. >_< we had to choreograph (sp?) a tinikling dance (you know...with the bamboo sticks and jumping in-between them and stuff?) and perform it in front of the class. we had some really nice ideas and all, but we didn't practice enough times so it ended up okay. =\ english final was FREAKING HARD. >_< i'm really nervous about that one. our teacher gave us a list of stuff to know and half of it didn't even show up on the test...and there was all this stuff that WASN'T on the review sheet that was on the test. -.-' plus he didn't tell us to specifically bring #2 pencils. so half the class probably failed his final (he decided to use a scantron thing and not tell us...>_>). luckily i had mine w/ me....xp aaaaand then computers final was easy...we just had to make an image and a website.....ceramics was fine, and math was okay....i KNOW i did something stupid and careless on it though. >_< and i just wrote down that i wasn't here for the vectors unit and left all the vectors part of the test blank.....hopefully the sub was telling the truth when she said that you could just write a note if you weren't there for vectors...

okay, first of all, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE everyone go send ElvesAteMyRamen some of your support! Her doggie (and baby) of 16 years just passed away. =(

anywho, i had my spanish final today. it was TEN FREAKING PAGES LONG. and there wasn't even an extended period or anything because technically finals start tomorrow. i got finished and was able to double-check the whole thing (though it took some effort...1st period, you know? xp) by 30 seconds before class ended. half the class didn't finish at all though! this one person stayed in the spanish classroom like 15 minutes into 2nd period. xp

so. tomorrow are bio and ceramics finals. yes, we have a ceramics final. it's ridiculous. but really all we have to do is answer some vocab....which isn't too hard. we constantly review stuff we've done before in bio and relate it to what we're currently doing now, so i'm not THAT worried about bio either.

but then come a spanish ORAL PRESENTATION THAT'S PART OF OUR FINAL GRADE....and then pe....which we have to perform a tinikling dance for (and our group JUST threw a whole bunch of things together...so we are NOT prepared >.<), and then MATH. oh joy. i switched into this class in the middle of the semester, so i don't know some of the stuff.....and our teacher's on maternity leave so we got stuck w/ a sub who can barely speak english. >_> the sub is really smart and all, but she just has a difficult time....communicating....what she knows...to us. so. now hardly any of us understand what's going on. hurrah.

i need help on vectors. i asked her to explain them to me, but i didn't get ANY of it. she actually said that if i just write a note on the test page saying that i wasn't here for the vectors unit, i would be okay. but...i dunno. i think it would be better to know, neh? so any of you know anything about vectors??? TT_TT
