El Dia de los Muertos
Today, is the Day of the Dead.
This is a tradition in the Spanish speaking world, and can be considered the equivalent of our Halloween.
The spirits of family's passed on members come back to earth for a breif period and the families use the weekend to prepare for the arrival. Comments (1) |

Another Halloween Post
I am at free period with nothing to do because my teachers decided to be nice and not give us home work so we could go trick-or-treating, but is there a parent alive who would let their high schooler go trick-or-treating still?
Although yesterday, we had this Halloween party for the kids of the teachers who live on campus, so we got to go trick-or-treating with them. That was okay. Really, I think that's a different situation, though.
Anyways, I just posted again because: a) It's Halloween, it's like, my favorite and freest holiday (I can seriously do anything I want on Halloween! ^_^)
b) I want to post a lot of Halloween pics (you can expect that just about every holiday. ^_o
c) I want more people to visit my newly updated, very k.a. site b^_o
Talk to yinz later; hope you're still having a great holiday (that is even more homework free than mine! XD) Comments (1) |

Classes (Part 4 of Daily Life)
I can't say I actually enjoy classes (you know, from like the bottom of my heart), but who can? I have geometry, physics, history, literature, Spanish IIA and health (I'm kind of in my friend's drama class; I walked her there one day, and then her teacher asked if I wanted o become the stage manager... like, really randomly). Now, some of the subjects themselves aren't interesting, and sometimes it's just the fact that it's, you know, class in general. But some classes are awesome. I like drama, math, and lit this year, and all my teachers are great. I have a lot of friends in those classes too, so that makes it all the more bareable. That's really all I can say about classes. Except today I noticed that all the girls in drama (there are 3 of us) hurt their legs. Maggie's sprained her ankle, Hannah's foot is... well, actually, I don't know what happened to it, but it is in a walking cast. I myself have a rather large cut running down my shin. (You know those merry-go-round things at playgrounds, where the kids get on then you jump on when you've pushed it around enough? Well I was pushing my little cousins on it and then I was trying to jump on, and my foot missed and I ended up hitting my shin. It didn't even hurt too bad, but I let go; I looked, and I was frickin' bleeding and I'm just thinking '... hmm... looks like I'm bleeding... should probably get dad'.) Comments (0) |

Meals (part 3 of Daily Life)
So we usually wake up around 7, some earlier, some later, I'm an on the dot 7 person. You can take your time getting ready and all, except you do have to get to class by 8:10 so your ready by 8:15. Most of us herd to the cafeteria by 7:40, although I sometimes go earlier to beat the rush. They have all the nessecities (which, I don't know how to spell) of breakfast, so it's always good (except for those crazy hashbrowns that sometimes taste nothing like potatoes). Then lunch depends on your schedule, like one day, it'll be third period, then the next day it'll be sixth, no kidding, but I usually have a free period I can eat then. We have dinner at 6:15, after sports and on Mondays and Wednesdays, it's seated, but not on Tuesdays and Thursdays; then you can sit where ever. After that we have Study Hours, which I already explained. Comments (0) |
