   Chapter 3~ Riku's Confession
Riku sat on the wall of the fountain, next to Kiki. "You like Tsume. I know you do, Riku. Don't you DARE deny it!" Kiki said. Riku sighed. "You caught me." she admitted. "Don't go NEAR him, Ri!" Kiki insisted. "What's wrong with him?" Riku demanded angrily. "He's dangerous. From what I hear, he's KILLED people, Riku! KILLED people!" Kiki exclaimed. "And how is that any different from me? I killed people!" Riku yelled. "You should stay away from him. Can't you just listen to me this once?" Kiki asked. "No, Kiki!" Riku screamed. "She's right. You SHOULD stay away from me." said Tsume, stepping out of the shadows. "It's better this way." he said, and walked away. "See, no problems." Kiki said to her. Riku looked at her angrily. "Look what you've done!" she growled, and ran after Tsume. He was way ahead of her by now.

Tsume angrily kept walking. He was soon joined by Hiei. "You love her." Hiei said to him. "Go away." Tsume snarled. "You love her." Hiei repeated. Tsume whirled on him and sighed. "So what if I do? Kiki's already told her to stay away from me." "You don't know Riku. Didn't you hear her arguing with Kiki. You sort of made it worse." Hiei countered. "She won't follow me." Tume said. Hiei looked behind him. "Wanna bet?" "Huh?" Tsume turned around. Riku was running quickly towards them, gasping for breath. "I'll leave," Hiei said, and walked away before Tsume could stop him. Tsume gulped. To him, Riku was only in jeans and a Tee-shirt, but she was still beautiful. Riku finally caught up with him, and stopped. "Tsume, look. I'm sorry you had to hear what Kiki said, but I didn't listen." "Obviously." Tsume teased. Riku laughed. "I don't WANT to stay away from you! I want to talk to you, I LIKE talking to you. You're like...a cuter Hiei. He looked down at her. "You know, I don't want to stay away from you, either. THAT'S Kiba's fault. I LOVE talking with you. You're the most entertaining person I've talked to in a long time! You're pretty, and nice, well, to me anyway, and you've made me change myself. YOU are wonderful." Riku blushed. "Tsume, I, er, have something to tell you." Tsume quirked a brow. "O-kay." He scratched the back of his head and smiled. "Go ahead. Shoot." Riku looked up at him. "Tsume, I think, I mean, that is...Tsume, I think I love you!"
