I have a favor to ask all of you.

Mostly to my ToS loving friends. I'm posting a bit of a new fanfic i'm writing (Yeah, i'm still writing my Kratos x Anna story, but i've run into writer's block. i'm just taking advantage that i have insperation for this story. ^_^'') Even if you haven't played ToS, you could read it. It might jsut be extra confusing. XD Well, here we go...

People crying.

Everyone…dressed in black…crying.

Why?

A small, blond haired boy stood quietly, his blank brown eyes overflowing with tears. He looked empty, lacking the blissful energy that radiates from most children. He did not seem to want to laugh or play like most boys his age. He looked as if he only wanted to cry.

Someone hugged him… told him it’s all right in a soft voice… a kind and sweet voice. Maybe his it was his mother’s. She was crying too. And dressed in black.

What happened?

Why are they crying?

A loss.

Yes, a death.

But who? Who’s death could affect so many people?

Who is it?

I’ll never know.

Because…

That’s when the memory fades.

Why can’t I remember?

And when…

…When will I be able to comfort…

…That poor little boy…?

In a large grassy field stood two figures, one with red-brown hair and one blond. “Concentrate. Become aware of your surroundings.” The man with the red-brown hair said coolly, placing a hand on the hilt of his sword. He was facing the young blond haired boy who had his back turned and his hand also on a sword. The boy nodded.

“Yeah.” He said as he took a deep breath

Suddenly, without warning, the man drew his sword as if to attack the blond. But the boy pivoted around, blocking the blow. Both of them looked extremely surprised. The man began to chuckle and the blond blushed.

“I’m sorry. D-did I do something wrong?” The man just shook his head.

“No. You did it perfectly. That’s why I’m amazed. You have wonderful reflexes, and you’ve learned so quickly.” He said, still chuckling, looking the young man straight in the eyes. “I’ll bet your father’s proud.” The blond smiled and slid his sword in its sheath.

“…You…you really think so?” He asked quietly as his companion did the same.

“I do.” Her replied, a warm smile on his face as well. After a moment of just listening to the soft wind in the grass, the young man spoke.

“I’m going to go visit my dad. Could you tell my mom where I went?” His teacher nodded.

“Of course.” He reassured the blond.

“Thanks Grandpa.” The boy said, smiling. And with that, teacher and pupil went separate ways. The older man walked through the large field towards a small town called Luin where he lived, as well as his student’s mother.

Once in the town he headed through the small village to the boy’s home. On his way there, he ran into a young woman carrying a basket full of groceries with blond hair much like his student’s. “Hello, Colette.” He said kindly, greeting his friend.

“Oh! Hi Kratos!” she said with a smile as she trotted over to him, her blond braid bouncing behind her. “Where’s Alex?”

“He told me to tell you that he is visiting his father.” Kratos said in an expressionless voice. Colette’s smile faltered a little, but did not fade. The two then continued walking.

“Ah, I see… How did his training go?” she said, changing the subject quickly.

“Wonderfully.” Kratos replied truthfully. “He has incredible talent.” Kratos saw the Chosen glow with a mother’s pride at those words.

“I’m glad.” She said distantly. Then she seemed to remember something. “Say, Kratos, you did say you would come to dinner tonight, right?”

“Yes.” The seraphim nodded. “Alex asked me. He wouldn’t let me alone until I said yes.” He added with a slight smile.

“That sounds like something he’d do.” She said with a laugh. “He really looks up to you, Kratos.” The man looked a little embarrassed by these words, causing Colette to giggle again. “I’ll see you later.” The young woman said, as she walked towards the door of her home, leaving Kratos to walk to his house by himself.

“He really looks up to you.” The words echoed in his head. “He looks up to me,” the man thought. “… How strange…”

“Hi, Mom!” Alex said cheerfully, bursting through the door. He found his mother at the stove over a pot of curry and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

“Ah, your home.” His mother replied warmly. “Your grandfather should be here soon.”

“That’s right!” the blond said, sitting down at the kitchen table. “He’s coming to dinner today, isn’t he?” Colette nodded.

“So how was your trip?” she inquired, wiping her hands on a towel, and sitting down on the chair across from him.

“Good.” He simply. His mother saw a strange, melancholy emotion in her son’s eyes, and didn’t have to hear anymore. She knew exactly how it went. There was a moment when neither spoke, but just sat and thought. Finally Alex said, “Grandpa Kratos say’s I’m really good at swordsmanship. That’d he thinks Dad’s proud.” The blond haired boy beamed with pride, and so did his mother.

“Kratos told me, and I’m sure he is. I am too.” Colette said, squeezing her son’s arm lovingly. “Why don’t you get clean up? You’ve got some dirt on your face.” She then threatened to wipe it off with herself, but Alex was already out of the room.

When Kratos arrived, Colette already had three warm bowls of curry set on the table. They all had a warm meal, sharing stories. Kratos and Alex talked of swordsmanship. Colette chimed in when she had something to contribute, though she didn’t know much of the topic. They talked about the beautiful weather they had been having. Colette said how it was wonderful for her garden, and that her tomatoes should be delicious. Both males promised to try them as soon as they where ripe.

Once the meal was through, Alex stood and yawned, saying he was going to turn in for the night because he had a long day. Neither of his elders objected, and the boy traveled up the stairs to his room. Kratos pushed away from the table and crossed his arms.

As soon as Colette was sure her son was out of earshot, she said, ”Kratos, could I talk to you before you go?” He nodded for her to continue. “When do you… when should I tell him? When do you think he’ll be ready?” Kratos sighed deeply and closed his eyes, thinking for a moment.

“It is for you to decide. He’s fifteen years old. He may handle it well.” Colette bit her lip.

“I know… but… he may not. I can’t tell how he feels anymore. He seems to put a mask whenever I ask him… He says he’s totally at peace with it. Even so, I have a hard time believing him.” She sighed and held her head up with her hands. “It’s not something that’s easy to hear.” Her voice was so quiet, that Kratos had a hard time hearing her. He closed his eyes again, thinking hard.

“It is for you to decide…” He repeated, “But, no mater when you tell him, he will be hurt.” The Chosen brought her hands down, and began to wringing them nervously, biting her lip again.

“Your right.” She said. “I’m sorry for keeping you.” Colette stood and held the door open for her comrade. Kratos got up from his seat, and headed towards the door. As he was exiting, Colette whispered, “I will tell him. Tomorrow, I will tell him.”

Kukuku.... What is she gonna tell him? Well, i need to write that. should i include it in the same chapter? Or should i make my readers suffer? I'd appriciate any comments you might have. ^_^'' Thank you.
