I'm back!
Actually, I've been back for a couple of days now. Just haven't been saying much... The trip was awesome. I loved it. Especially the King Tut exhibit... @.@'' My sister and I were amazed the whole time. The only problem was one of my cousins who came along. We used to be friends, but I haven't seen him in a long time, and now I can tell that he's a jerk. -.- Oh well.
Well, I don't have any new art to post here, but... I FINALLY got a deviantART account! I really like the idea of a scraps section, so I'm going to be posting a lot of random sketches and stuff there that I can't put here. *nod* It'll be fun.
http://roae.deviantart.com/
I'll put that in my profile sometime... Well, I have to go work on said DA account, so I'll finish it here. Bye!

...!!!
*darts in, yelling* 100 VOTES!!! WOOHOO!!! *does happy dance* And still at 100%, too! Wow... ^^'' I nearly forgot about that. And I almost have 300 visits. Not quite, but almost. I'll probably do some sort of comemorative pic for this... But what...? My idea so far is to include some of my stuff from other drawings. Like Bakura, since a lot of my pics include him... Maybe my Spanish Dancer character, 'cause I like her... And I think I'm going to have to try a chibi-comic in the corner somewhere with Yami Marik being attacked by those pigeons. Meheh... I'll be in it too. *nod nod* It might be cluttered, but oh well. Anywho, good? Bad? Got any other ideas? Lemme know! And now, really, this is my last post before I leave. Bye! ^^ *runs off*

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?!
... Sorry. I had to. My sister was just singing that and she got it stuck in my head... (She's 23, by the way.) I think that show is just wrong. -.-
Sooo! I decided to post something. Fanart included! I've decided that showing the uncolored version of a pic first is fun, 'specially since you can get constructive criticism before the pic is done (hint, hint). Oh, and I'm leaving on my trip day after tomorrow, and I didn't want to leave you guys with nothing. So, I show my two latest pics, one of Seto, Kisara, and a Blue Eyes (in need of color); and one of Yami Marik and a bunch of pigeons (in need of a background and color).
*cackles* The pigeons... Hoowah! WHEEE!!! *falls over* I'm in a very odd mood right now, in case you can't tell! It has to do with me acting like Bakura so early in the morning. Our water heater broke, so I was being all thief-y and climbing around in the attic to try to fix it, randomly laughing insanely 'cause it was fun. But hot. Very hot. -.- Of course, now I've picked up Joey's Brooklyn accent. Weirdness. Once I started speaking in a British accent at school and didn't notice until someone pointed it out to me... And they told me that I did that pretty often... Eheh. ^^''
So, a friend of mine came over the other day with collections of anime series. I got to finally see the first few episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion. I've never really watched the 'giant robot' anime, but I rather liked it. Especially Rei... I felt kinda sorry for her. Being so emotionless all the time... T.T Anywho, I also saw a similar anime called "Dual! Parallel Universe Trouble" (or something like that). An obscure anime, but really cool. Think Evangelion with parallel universes (if you couldn't tell by the name).
Well, I've gotta go. Unless I make a comment on your site in the next two days, you probably won't hear from me again for a while. But I'll be back, with art to show and tales to tell! Especially with an explanation of that piece with the pigeons. By the way, that's supposed to be in St. Mark's Square... Ya know, the place populated by pigeons. ^^'' Anywho, that's all folks. See ya in a couple of weeks! ^^ *wanders off, lugging a suitcase*

New Randomness!
Yeah, I'm bored. I randomly wish to announce that at this very moment, I have made exactly 300 comments on TheOtaku! Go me and my constructive criticism. =P Of course, that number is bound to change very quickly. So glance over this momentous occasion, then pass it on and forget it ever happened! Bwahaha- I mean... um... Eheh. ^^'' I am also coming up to 300 visits for my site, and 100 votes on my art. (I need 30 more visits and 6 more votes, I think...) So, whenever I get over my current reading-rampage and get into gear, I'll probably do some sort of drawing commemerating these miraculous events. Ha. Anywho...
Just a couple of hours ago, I saw the movie of The Da Vinci Code. My verdict? The reviewers are wrong yet again. I personally liked it. It was quite harsh at times... But still, an excellent movie. The ending was changed quite a bit from the book though. I was really sad at what happens to Silas... (Won't say anything here in case someone doesn't want it spoiled.) But again, excellent. Very well done.
Also, I was given a book today to read, which I finished within a few hours... A short, easy-to-read book called The Holy Man, by Susan Trott. I was wondering what it'd be like before I started reading it... It didn't look that entertaining... But I really liked it. It was inspirational, AND entertaining... It even made me laugh out loud a couple of times. Oh, and it wasn't really religious like I thought it'd be. Wasn't very religious at all, really... Spiritual, yes, but not religious. Good book. And a fun one, at that... ^^
Um, yeah... Those are my rantings for the day... Hope I didn't bore you. Anything else going on...? I'M OUT OF SCHOOL FOR SUMMER VACATION!!! WOOHOOO! What a relief. That'd be why I'm on a reading-rampage. But, on my last day of school, I stole from a teacher... *laughs* Don't worry, I'm not a criminal. ^^'' Whenever he signed a yearbook, he'd glue a picture in there of something he thought represented us and he would write why. I got a deer for being proud, confident, and graceful. ^^'' Anywho, when he left the room for a moment, I went over and snagged one of his pictures, the one of a watermelon, and glued it in HIS yearbook, for being 'cool, fun, and great to have around.' He didn't notice until I was about to leave, and he confused my mom by asking me when I stole the watermelon... It was fun. ^^
Oh, and isn't it strange how summer is always more relaxed, yet so much more chaotic at the same time...? For me, anyway. An interesting paradox. Oh well, it (mostly) keeps me from getting bored... I still need to start watching TV again, though. T.T
So, anywho... I guess I'll go do something now. ^^'' Sorry for not having anything new, besides this post! I will, eventually. I'm considering making a quiz... What do you think? Well, see ya!
EDIT - Wow, this was long. Sorries... ^^''

Random Update
Wellll... It took me long enough to post again, eh? I've been busy. But, today is officially my last day of school for the year! ^^ Technically that was last week, but I had to go in for an extra day because of absences and such... -.- Anywho. Now I'll have lots more free time on my hands, therefore, I'll be around more often. I think. I'll have more art, anyway... *hears booing in the background* ... That's not funny. -.-''
And, in case you're wondering, the play was a total success. We got plenty of laughter from the audience. Of course, it wasn't perfect... But that is the point of live theater. Some smooth improv skills from the main character Leon saved us all in this one scene... and kept the set from falling over on him. ^^ It was awesome. The improv, I mean, not the set falling over. Eheh...
... I really don't have much else to say. So, I'll go find something else to do. See ya!

*nervous laughter*
... My play is tomorrow... I'm really nervous... Dear god, help me. Help me, dear lord... Wait. That's not my line. *sweatdrop* Rightio. Um, yeah... I don't really have anything else to say. ^^'' Just needed to mention that. So, um, wish me luck... Bye bye!

...?!
Yo, minna! ^^
I'm over at my father's house right now. I thought something was wrong with my scanner, but his is doing the same thing... -.- Obviously in my drawings, the pupils of eyes are too dark, so the black overcomes the color of the iris. Bleh. But anyway, I submitted the best that I got: the colored piccy of Bakura. Go take a look!
Heh, I surprised everyone at school today. For two years they've been seeing me in jeans (or something similar) and a T-shirt, and suddenly I show up today in a skirt and a nice blouse. Everyone kept asking me, "Why are you all dressed up?" ^^'' 'Tis because I have my last dress rehearsal for my play in a few hours, and this skirt is part of one of my costumes. Since I'm not going home before then and I didn't want to carry it around all day, I decided to just wear it. It's kind of fun, surprising everybody, but a little embarrassing also... ^^''
So, yeah, my play is on Tuesday... I'm starting to get really nervous. It's the first time I've done something in front of an audience in... Oh, say, five years? I dunno if I'm ready... >.>'' But I have no choice now. Just gotta hope I don't blank on my lines... @.@''
Other than that, my free time has been spent mostly catching up on schoolwork. Next week is my last week, and my father said that if I don't have everything turned in by then, I can't go on this trip to Chicago... T.T I've been waiting for it for a looong time. First off, I'm seeing my grandmother for the first time in a while... Second, we're going back to our old town in Missouri afterwards, which I really miss... And last but not least, we're going to the King Tut exhibition! ^^'' Me being a huge fan of everything Egyptian, I can NOT miss this chance. So, yeah, I have to finish my children's book for Composition, make up several assignments in Biology, and read and write a book report on the Aeneid for Latin. That, plus the play and extra rehearsals, means I've been a busy Roae.
... Oops, I'm ranting. I'm done now. ^^'' I try to come onto TheOtaku every day, but if I miss something, you guys understand, right? Anywho, there's not much else to say. See ya!

It's... LENYA!
I just submitted something random that I did yesterday and finished today. It's... me, but not me. ^^'' It's my character from the play I'm in. I'm sorry if the thing looks messy. It was mainly quick sketches, and my handwriting was too small for the scanner to pick up very well. I'm kinda nervous about this one, 'cause I don't usually submit stuff like this, but I wanted to see what you guys think. ^^
*looks around* Our computer room is a complete mess right now... We're changing it into a bedroom for someone, so everything's getting moved out and it's rather chaotic. So... Even if I finish something else in the next few days, I may not be able to scan it. T.T Oh well.
Aaanywho... I think I'm getting sick again. *grumbles* But everything else is going good. Well, sort of. My parents are already talking about colleges and stuff (I'm still a sophomore!) and I'm getting kinda confused since I haven't thought about it that much. ^^''
I really need to start watching TV again soon... I've got so many episodes of random anime recorded that I haven't watched. And there'll be more tomorrow. All hail Saturdays! But yeah, I need to catch up. Oi... And now it's dinnertime, so I have to go. ^^'' See ya!

'Tis summer and I have a POOL!
Hiya, everyone. Sorry I haven't updated in a while... I've been busy. ^^'' Normally I have some sort of art to post when I say something here, but this time, I do not. Sorry again. T.T I've been doing a couple of things for friends, plus in school for my Composition class we're writing a children's book that takes up a lot of time. Well, not only writing, but illustrating. It wouldn't be that difficult if we were given more time to figure it out! This weekend we had to do the storyboard, and I wasn't completely sure on the characters or plot yet. T.T Anywho, once I do settle on characters and everything, I might post a few pics from my story up here to see what you all think.
In other news, the play I'm in is going well. Everyone's still stumbling over their lines a bit, but we still have three weeks to finish the memorization. But I just had rehearsal two days in a row. I'm rather tired, since I stay out all day on those days. -.- I'll deal, though.
Heh, I went to the bookstore last week, and the library the next day. Lots o' books, especially manga. Let's see, I got The Wish List by Eoin Colfer (I loved it!), Sgt Frog volume 9 (Awesome, as per usual), and most importantly, YGO Millennium World volume 3 (What can I say? @.@ My precious... *hugs it*)! ^^ Then at the library I got The Lost World by Micheal Crichton (Jurassic Park-ness, yay), DNAngel volume 4 (Finally, I got to see Krad!), and Azumanga Daioh volume 1 (Had to see what it was about, and it was FUNNY!) ... Yes, so I've been reading, which is yet another activity that feeds off of my free time. ^^''
My teacher told me a good riddle the other day: The ones who make it don't want it. The ones who buy it don't need it. The ones who use it don't know it. What is it? ... It took me a little while and some help in the right direction from said teacher, but I got it. ^^
Well, this post is getting long enough, I'm needing to do something else, and I'm running out of things to say, so I'll stop here for now. Bye bye!

New sketch!
Okay, I had to submit this for several random reasons. Not as complete as I'd like it to be, but I don't have much choice... Anywho, question: Should I leave it in black and white and just shade it, or should I color it? ^^ I can't decide. Well, I have to go finish my actual drawings now... ^^ Bye bye!
