Cursed Time Management!
Bah! Still nothing to report. I'm STILL searching for some free time in which to work on my drawing. The good news is that I have some free time tomorrow so I should be able to finish then. Yay! After that, I'll start on my next project. Drawing Yuki!

This, My Friends, Is What We Call A Filler Entry...
Well, I don't have any new stuff to report, (besides a brief mention that new episodes of "Fullmetal Alchemist" are coming our way on [Adult Swim]!) but I am putting off doing my homework, so I needed SOME kind of excuse (hehehe). Anyway, so I have another, non-anime centered journal out there in the vast spaces of the Internet and I once started this list that I will now put on my post for all to see, along with comments on each part that I've added just for this posting. Why? Cause I'm stalling. And I like the list. Here goes...
"Bests" In Books I Have Read
Best Declaration of Love
"I love you. I hope you don't mind."
-"Sabriel" by Garth Nix- (If ever there was a classy zombie story, this book would be it)
Best Coming-Out Line
"Mom, you know the forbidden love that Spock has for Kirk? Well, me too."
-"Tithe" by Holly Black- (based in the old European fairy myths, kind of dark, but written a little childishly. Eh, oh well)
Best Opening Sentence
"Mother taught me to be polite to dragons."
-"Talking to Dragons" by Patricia C. Wrede- (classic fantasy, read in middle school and still reread to this day)
Best Parody Song
"O woe is me!
O woe is me!
I used to have a hamster tree.
But it was eaten by a newt
And now I have no cuddly fruit.
O woe is me!
O woe is me!
I used to have a hamster tree!"
-"Abarat" by Clive Barker- (an art lover's dream fantasy novel, complete with over 100 illustrations all painted by the author)
Best Heretical Saga
"'When you stopped believing in God,' he went on, 'did you stop believing in good and evil?'
'No. But I stopped believing there was a power of good and a power of evil that were outside us. And I came to believe that good and evil are names for what people do, not for what they are. All we can say is that this is a good deed, because it helps someone, or that's an evil one, because it hurts them. People are too complicated for simple labels.'"
-"His Dark Materials" trilogy (consisting of "The Golden Compass", "The Subtle Knife", and "The Amber Spyglass") by Philip Pullman- (great stuff, philosophy, science fiction, and good old fashioned fantasy)

I'll Beat The System Yet!
Well, I got a chance to work on my drawing some more, but it's still not ready yet *sigh* I need more hours in a day! Where do they all go! However, I did manage to scrounge up a few minutes to make a new e-card. I just posted it before I made this entry, so it isn't up yet. All I'll say is that it's from Witch Hunter Robin (I LOVE that show). It should be up sometime today. Well, anyway, off to sleep. (Since I'm in the central time zone and it's still Monday night here) More hour-sucking activities await me when I wake up. Ciao!
-Quote of the Day-
"All humans are prone to err, and all leaders are but human."
-Frank Herbert's "Children of Dune"- (I love the first four "Dune" books. The "Dune" series is like the LOTR of science fiction)

Yay!
I finally got that new e-card to post! In your face "aura of electronic crappiness"!(I love the terms we make up at work to explain bad luck ^_^) Also, I posted what I have so far of my new drawing Sunday evening. I am no longer failing in my Fruits Basket fan art duties. In fact, I think I've probably gone a little overboard lately, what with the wallpaper and the greeting. *blush* Oh well. And now that I've finally got another screen cap program, I can make more, as opposed to having to use all my old ones. Yay, more project possibilities! I think my next greeting will be from Witch Hunter Robin. Anyway, on to something I really want to talk about: The english dub of Naruto. Now, I'm by no means an expert on Naruto (since I've never seen it before *embarassed laugh*) but I think it looks like they haven't butchered it at least. Although from what I saw, it looks like they would have had a hard time trying to edit out "offensive" material as opposed to just gushing blood and such. What the hell is that show doing on Toonami anyway? It totally belongs on [Adult Swim]! Hahaha, I'd hate to have to be the parents of any kids wanting explainations for that show. But besides that, I really liked what I saw of the show. I will say that the english voice for Naruto kind of annoys me, though. Eh, can't win 'em all. See ya around folks!

"God, you have such boy-handwriting."
-My sister- (what the hell is "boy-handwritting" anyway?)

Wow...
Dude, 38 people have downloaded my wallpaper already, and it hasn't even been up 24 hours. *scratches head* I guess they like it. But I don't know why, cause not a single one of those 38 $^%&*@^%$# have left a comment on it! It's the Escaflowne fan art all over again! Cursed silence! *deep breaths* Oh well. On to other matters. My brain is stewing up all kinds of ideas for a new article, but they'll have to wait until I finish my picture and find some way to get that stupid greeting to show up. Girr! But on a good note, I finally got to watch the third InuYasha movie! Yay! It was great. All kinds of character insight. Plus flashbacks. Gotta love the flashbacks. So yeah, some good mojo in the day too. Well, I'm off! Have a nice weekend everyone!
-Quote of the Day-
"Howl fell over the chair and caught his foot in the stool so that it shot across the room. After that, he tried to go upstairs through the broom cupboard, and then the yard. This seemed to puzzle him a little. But finally he discovered the stairs, all except the bottom one, and fell up them on his face. The whole castle shook.
'What's the matter?' Sophie asked, sticking her head through the banister.
'Rugby Club Reunion,' Howl replied with thick dignity. 'Didn't know I used to fly up the wing for my university, did you, Mrs. Nose?'
'If you were trying to fly, you must have forgotten how,' Sophie said.
'I was born to strange sights,' said Howl, 'things invisible to see, and I was just on my way to bed when you interrupted me. I know where all past years are, and who cleft the Devil's foot.'
'Go to bed, you fool,' Calcifer said sleepily. 'You're drunk.'
'Who, me?' said Howl. 'I assure you, my friends, I am cone sold stober.' He got up and stalked upstairs, feeling for the wall as if he thought it might escape him unless he kept in touch with it. His bedroom door did escape him. 'What a lie that was!' Howl remarked as he walked into the wall. 'My shining dishonesty will be the salvation of me.' He walked into the wall several times more, in several different places, before he discovered his bedroom door and crashed his way through it. Sophie could hear him falling about, saying that his bed was dodging."
-Howl's Moving Castle- (From the book. The movie is good, but the book is ten times better)

New Ventures...
I've recently broken into two new MyOtaku venues. First, as you may know, I wrote and submitted an article. Whooo! I'm a writer now (kinda). Also, I've submitted my first wallpaper. Yay! I'm not quite sure when the link will actually be working (since right now there's nothing there yet) but it should be soon. And on that note, I think I'm going to have to re-submit my last greeting. It's been a pretty long time now and it's still not up. That's happened to me before, but with fan art. I think it just got lost or something. Oh well. Also, I'm still working on my next drawing. I'll post it sometime this weekend, when I get around to finishing it *blush* Anyway, I'm off! Have a good day everyone!
-Quote of the Day-
"'Ford,' he said, 'you're turning into a penguin. Stop it.'"
-The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy- (book, not the movie, although I like both ^_^)

Updates
Alrighty, I kept my promise on the DNAngel picture. It got posted yesterday afternoon. Also, I submitted another e-card as well. It's another Fruits Basket one. I know that all of my e-cards have been FB but I can't help it! They all applied best to my ideas. Oh well. I think I'll work on another drawing for next weekend. And my e-cards have made me realize that I've never done a FB drawing before *gapes in shock* Of all the blasphemies a FB fan can commit, why this! I am shamed. *sigh* Ok, over the shame. Better get cracking! See ya!

"Sometimes You Feel Like A Nut, Sometimes You Don't..."
I went to the annual family reunion Sunday. God, we are such hillbillys. Reasons: (1)Family games consisted of horseshoe, bingo, and barefooted volleyball (2)Contests consisted of guess the watermelon weight and guess how many candies are in the jar [I won the candies, but was off on the watermelon by two pounds T_T] (3)Reunion is held at the Lion's Club, basically a living monument to military service (4)"Catching Up" with people involves hearing about their recent "altercations" with the law (5)Describing someone as "That guy with the beer and cigarette" correlates to nearly every male relative in the building, and possibly some of the more facially hair inclined females (6)Conversations with Grandma involve her inviting you over to use her garage as an archery target, since Grandpa and nearly everyone else in the family who can shoot a bow have already turned it into swiss cheese (7)For some reason, there's a giant float-style paper-mache lion sitting next to the building and nobody even looks twice at it (8)Second cousins once removed are common sites and childhood friends (9)The gossip mill runs so fast that there's actually no need to talk to half of the people present in order to know every detail of the last 12 months of their life (10)On hand chocolate is a neccesity for diverting unwanted conversation from both children AND adults (11)There are so many Southern accents, it's seems that someone must have mastered the science of teleportation, since I live in NORTHERN Illinois. And that's about all I'm gonna say on that for now. I could go on, but that would last quite a while. Anyway, on to anime business. I'm sorry, but I still haven't gotten a chance to finish my DNAngel picture *pleads for mercy with puppy eyes* If I get crackin', I should be able to post it sometime later on Monday *crosses fingers* Anyway, I'm off to finish reading my book ["Eldest"] so that I won't have anymore distractions this weekend. I'm almost done!
-Quote of the Day-
Cousin Kara: "So, what are you going to college for?"
Mom: "She's been jumping around on that."
Me: *holds out jar of prize candy* Here, Mom, have some chocolate. I'm going to be an art teacher.
Mom: *hugs Kara and pretends to cry* Whaaaa! Did you hear that, she wants to be an art teacher! First it was Physics, then Biology. *shakes Kara* She could have worked for NASA! NASA!"

Insomnia, Meet Boredom.
Ok, I just stayed up really, really late making a fact sheet about the main human characters of Digimon. Why, you ask? Well, cause I couldn't sleep, and I had just spent the day watching the show with my siblings. So the two clashed in my head and created what I came to realize was an anime article of sorts. So I posted it. At least this way it has the possibility of interesting/entertaining someone as opposed to sitting forgotten in my computer. Hopefully it should be up soon. Anyway, I'm off to see if the cosmos is willing to let me sleep now, or if I'm doomed to watch TV all night.
-Quote of the Day-
"You know what they say, 'Leaves of three, Kill It!'"
-My crazy Polish grandma- (That woman is hilarious. She plays cards with Grandpa and they bet each other dimes O.o)

Influencing Children is Fun!
I've implimented stage two of my "Turn Michael into an Anime Fan" plan. (Michael is my 5 year-old brother) I've finally collected all the episodes of the first two seasons of Digimon (the only ones worth watching, in my opinion. But I guess I'm biased, since I liked that show when I was younger and never saw the point in continuing when the original plot line ended. The new stuff bored me. Eh, youth and it's short attention span...) Anyway, so I've started him on a Digimon regime. Of course, my 9 year-old sister Kristen joined in our marathon a little way in, as I've already converted her to the ways of anime. She watches Fruits Basket AND reads the manga. Although that was an accident. I was planning on starting her on something a little easier for her, but she decided to stand in on a FB marathon my friend and I were having and she's been captivated ever since. Oh well. She had the crash course. I've been more careful with Michael. First, it was anime-style american cartoons, like Teen Titans and Avatar. Now he's moving on to the genuine stuff. Yay! It's so exciting! I love bringing art into the undernourished lives of others! All shall bow before my influencing powers! *cough* Excuse me, sorry about that. Just a short power-trip. I'm back now. So yeah, and I'm still working on that DNAngel picture I mentioned. I'm thinking that it will get posted sometime this weekend. So until next time, see ya around!
-Quote of the Day-
"Whaaa! I don’t wanna be somebody’s appetizer! I’m supposed to go to med school!"
-Digimon Adventure- (aka Season 1. Useless bonus points to anyone who can name the character who said that!)
