Ouu, Just In Time For Halloween...
Well, I started watching Bleach today. It was a pretty random decision too. I just kind of stumbled across the show description and went, "Eh, why not?". I'll tell you why not. Because now I'm all the way up to episode 10 and I'm addicted. I laughed, cryed (not really), nearly fell out of my chair with joy (I exaggerate) and that was only in the first episode (now that part is true).
I shall summarize the basis of the show for anyone who has never heard of it/seen it before. It's about a guy nicknamed Ichigo (*snort* Strawberry, hahahaha... *wipes tear* oh those poor red-heads...) who can see and talk to ghosts. One day, he runs into this strange girl (that no one else can see) named Rukia. She claims to be a Death God (shinigami), someone who sends benign spirits to the afterlife and purifies bad spirits, and tells Ichigo that a bad spirit called a Hollow is going to attack. Low and behold, it does, and it just so happens that this spirit is after Ichigo because he has a high spiritual power (well duh, he sees dead people...) so it wants to eat his soul (ewww... sounds painful). General fighting ensues, Rukia gets seriously injured and in order to save his family, Ichigo lets Rukia stab him with her sword and transfer her powers to him. So now, Ichigo is stuck being a Death God and Rukia has no powers (she meant to give him only half her powers, but he ended up with all. That kind of sucks). So while they wait around for Rukia's powers to return to her on their own, Ichigo has to fill in as a Death God. Hilarity and drama ensue while Ichigo tries to balance school, being a Death God, and having Rukia living in his closet O.O (hey, she's stuck until her powers come back). So yeah. Good stuff. Well, I'm off to go finish the homework I should have been doing when I was watching anime *blush* See ya.
-Quote of the Day-
"Ichigo: Don’t tell me he died even though he’s a Death God?
Rukia: Even Death Gods are not immortal. The form may be different but death is –
Saido Eikichirou (the other Death God): *snoring*
Ichigo: Wait, that bastard’s sleeping... Hey, wake up! That’s confusing!
