   Celebrate Good Times...
Whoooo! Finals are over! I now have four weeks of class-free time. Of course, I still have work, but our hours will be cut to make up for the lull, since there's not going to be much traffic in the bookstore when all the students are on break. So whoooo! No class and less work! And since I now basically have an associates degree, I can do whatever I want next semester to kill the time until I can go to Northern next fall. You know what that means people? Art Classes! I'm taking Design, Drawing, Art History (Renaissance to Modern), and TV Production II. Yay, I get to learn how to draw! (wait, something sounds off with that...) I mean, yay, I get to go learn how to draw properly! Supposedly. But seeing as I've never taken a drawing class before, I have no clue what I'll be doing. Damn me and my 3-D Art fixation in high school! You think I would have, at least once, in four years of school, gone, "Hey, why don't I take a drawing class?" But nope. Playing with mud, fire, metal, and power tools always seemed like more fun. And I could always count on my 3-D teacher to pull us out of classes for random art field trips. The ones that never actually left the building were great. Like the time she had those of us in "gifted art" (read "students she liked", since everyone else taking art looked at it as a blow-off class) spend literally half the school day making glass beads in her class room. And when I was waiting to use one of the torches, I made a necklace out of notebook wire and a mini-glowstick I got from the toy machine at the bowling alley ^_^ Pliers ROCK! *cough* Ehem, anyway, I'm rambling. The point is, I've never taken a drawing class before, so I'm happy I am now.

And in other good news, my Aunt (mom's older sister) Marlene is (probably) coming from Missouri on Friday to visit! Yay! I love Marlene! She's the coolest ex-Marine I know. I'll get to see my cousins Tina (21) and Nick (19), too. They're supposed to come for Grandma's Christmas party this weekend. She always throws it the week or so before Christmas so that it doesn't conflict with other people's parties. So yeah. Groovyness all around ^_^

-Quote of the Day-
"'I'm going with you. King or not, you can't stop me. My father is being held in the throne room.'
'You are wounded and exhausted,' Zachary said. 'I don't want you to slow us down.'
'You have a broken arm,' Karigan retorted. 'Who will be slowing who?'
The king's eyebrows shot up, and his mouth was quirked in a half smile he couldn't quite hide. It was as if he wanted to laugh, but he knew better that to do so.
'I see' he said.
Horse Marshal Martel appeared at the king's side, his face impassive. 'I told you, my lord, we should have left her while she was asleep.'
'I should have listened more closely,' he said."
-Green Rider- (there, that's a slightly better quote than the last one. Karigan vs King Zachary, round two *ding* ^_^)
