   Literature Day
Hello folks! Well, I really don’t have much to say right now. I found out late Sunday night via e-mail that I didn’t have to go to work until 11am, so I was one happy camper and got to stay up late ^_^ And Tuesday was just lazy, so yeah, nothing to report. However, I was feeling rather quasi-philosophical today and I worked on my story some more. I finished writing a little wise-man-sage-y speech for one of my characters. I’d started it a while ago and never finished it. I originally imagined it shorter, but that was apparently not in the cards ^_^’ Those of you who have seen the Fruits Basket wallpaper I made will recognize the beginning. The quote thingy I used was actually something I wrote, but it looked cooler with quotes around it *hehe*

Anyway, so I finished the spiel and would like you guys to read it. If you hate it, I will never speak of it again, and all will be forgotten (ah, the joys of internet anonymity ^_^) Of course, if you like it, then I will claim that I always knew it was good and had no fear of its acceptance *Muwahahaha!*

roboartemis’s Quasi-Philosophical-Zen-ish-Depressingly-Uplifting-Wiseman-Sage-y Spiel

Have you ever been truly alone? So utterly and completely alone that you can’t remember what hope is? Where even heaven is only a quite place to yourself where no one can bother you? Well, I have. And let me tell you, that kind of loneliness can make you strong… or it can break you. I don’t know if everyone must face that someday, or if only a few are given that trial. But I do know that those of us who suffer are not meant to stay that way. Grasping to that hollow emptiness for the sake of familiarity will only cause the walls to weaken… weaken until they crack under the weight of all that you have forsaken and ignored in order to maintain your solitude. No, the only way to survive is to remember. Take in all the emptiness and sadness, all the different unsung facets and degrees of those emotions, and remember. Those who learn the secrets of the very depths of the dark are the ones who can most clearly recognize the true forms of light. And when the day comes that you realize that you have slowly left all those dark feelings behind, embrace that as well. Welcome the end of your loneliness as the beginning. You will find that there are very few truly dark people, and even fewer who you can truly hate.

-Quote of the Day-
“Congress shall also create a tax code weighing more than the combined poundage of the largest member of the House and the largest member of the Senate, plus a standard musk ox.”
-Dave Barry-
