Alive!
No, I haven't died. Just been really sleepy these past couple of days. Damn illnesses! *shakes fist at colds everywhere* But anyway, I got to lay around and watch a new (well, new to me) anime in the meantime. What did I watch, you ask? Well, it was none other than King of Bandit Jing. And I must say, I liked it very much. I mean, how can you not like a story that is completely random and logic defying at times, with all the characters named after an alcoholic drink and all the towns/cities named after cocktails? That's right, you can't.
Anyway, for anyone who's never heard of/read the show/manga, it basically follows the adventures of Jing, a thief known as the Bandit King, and his leacherous bird (yes, I said bird) partner who go around stealing famous treasures, apparently just for kicks. And that's really all there is to say about it. The show follows a rather episodic format, with the exception of a few episodes. With all that said, I have to make a note that the last three episodes were my favorite. They were the only three-part group of episodes, so it had an actual plot ^_^ Of course, now I'm going to have to go and read all of the manga. I can feel my wallet staring to cry already. Anyway, on to the style of the show. It's kind of like Nightmare Before Chritmas meets Alice in Wonderland. I love it. Here are some examples...

and the anime...
Tripy, huh? And don't even get me started on the music. It's fabulous. And you know, when I saw the picture with Jing's mask (from the last three episodes, hehe) I was instantly reminded of Kingdom Hearts, even though I've never played the game. Weird.
-Quote of the Day-
"'Eggnog Boys'... now that's a great name for your band of evil clockwork chicken soldiers..."
-Me- (I told you the show was random ^_^)
