   Craziness

I got a new car today ^_^ My old one is really on it's last legs, so yeah. I'm going to have to spend all summer (and more probably) paying back my parents. *sobs* I'm going to be so broke! But I guess that's the way it goes *sigh*

Seeing as how Magnus can't hear the song playing in my background, I thought I'd be nice for once and post the lyrics for her. Also, I'm going to post the lyrics for the song I didn't use, just for the hell of it ^_^

"Drops of Jupiter" by Train

Now that shes back in the atmosphere
With drops of jupiter in her hair, hey, hey
She acts like summer and walks like rain
Reminds me that theres time to change, hey, hey
Since the return from her stay on the moon
She listens like spring and she talks like june, hey, hey

Tell me did you sail across the sun
Did you make it to the milky way to see the lights all faded
And that heaven is overrated

Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star
One without a permanent scar
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there

Now that shes back from that soul vacation
Tracing her way through the constellation, hey, hey
She checks out mozart while she does tae-bo
Reminds me that theres time to grow, hey, hey

Now that shes back in the atmosphere
Im afraid that she might think of me as plain ol jane
Told a story about a man who is too afraid to fly so he never did land

Tell me did the wind sweep you off your feet
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
And head back to the milky way
And tell me, did venus blow your mind
Was it everything you wanted to find
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there

Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken
Your best friend always sticking up for you even when I know youre wrong
Can you imagine no first dance, freeze dried romance five-hour phone
Conversation
The best soy latte that you ever had . . . and me

Tell me did the wind sweep you off your feet
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
And head back toward the milky way

"I Will Follow You Into The Dark" by Death Cab For Cutie

Love of mine some day you will die
But I'll be close behind
I'll follow you into the dark

No blinding light or tunnels to gates of white
Just our hands clasped so tight
Waiting for the hint of a spark

If heaven and hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark

In Catholic school as vicious as Roman rule
I got my knuckles brusied by a lady in black
And I held my tongue as she told me
"Son fear is the heart of love"
So I never went back

If heaven and hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark

You and me have seen everything to see
From Bangkok to Calgary
And the soles of your shoes
are all worn down
The time for sleep is now
It's nothing to cry about
Cause we'll hold each other soon
In the blackest of rooms

If heaven and hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark
Then I'll follow you into the dark

Depressing, eh? I still like it though. It's such a soft, mellow song. It often gets compared to "Such Great Heights", if any of you know that song. They used a remake of it once in an M&M commercial. Or, I think it was the remake. I can't remember. I know there's at least two versions. Anyway, I know that "I Will Follow You Into The Dark" sounds like a kind of suicidal song, but that's not the way I interpret it (even if it was meant that way ^_^). It reminds me of those stories you hear of couples who die right around the same time, from what most people call "heartache", or simply the loss of the will to live without someone. Of course, if you look at the grand scheme of time and human history, one life span isn't really all that long, and is essentialy a short time before you die. Then there's also the whole religious aspect to the song. Kind of like he saying, if there's no place for you in the traditional view of the afterlife, then there's none for me either. So the song can be taken plenty of ways ^_^ I like those.

-Quote of the Day-
"When people say they hear voices in their head... as opposed to where exactly? Now, hearing voices in your legs, that would be crazy."
-Jimmy Carr-
