Crazyness...
Well, my littlest sister's birthday is tomorrow (today if you read this on Wednesday). She's turning 10. God, I feel old. And my brother is going to be 7 in October. So weird. Anyway, so I asked her what language she wanted to learn the most for her birthday. Being that she shares a good deal of the genes that I do, she said Japanese. So I told her that she had to wait a couple of months and that she would get a really kick-ass present. I didn't say what, of course. What I'm getting her is some Rosetta Stone language software. Of course, when I say kick-ass, I'm not kidding. It teaches language, reading, writing, and can supposedly check your voice for correct pronunciation if you have a microphone set up. It's so kick-ass, in fact, that I'm going to have to shell 300 bucks out for it. Hence the waiting period (which actually won't be that long, so I'll get to surprise her with it early ^_^). The good news is (a) I can steal it to help me with my homework in the fall and (b) my little brother can borrow it and learn as well. Go bilingual family!
