Holy Time Breaches Batman!
Gah, you know those times when you think, "Ok, I'll watch this one episode of an anime to fill this random half hour" and then two days later you find yourself finishing the entire series. Yeah. I did it again. *sobs* I can't help it! Of course, I should have known better. I mean it's freakin Escaflowne for crying out loud, one of the best anime ever. It's got everything. And I mean everything. Sci fi, fantasy, dragons, war, plot twists (And I mean weird ones. Seriously.), dimensional travel, swords, girly crap (yes, this includes bishonen and love quadrangles), explosions, mechas, Atlantis, feathers, morphing, psychotic pyros... the list goes on and on. And surprisingly enough, it has a realistic ending for the main characters (yes, I just put "realistic" and "Escaflowne" in the same sentence ^_^) I think the only thing it's missing is a unicorn weilding a lazerbeam.
So yes, here I am, riding the wave of post-end-of-anime-series depression. The series ending didn't help. However, I must cling to my optimism. Thanks to the series' fundamental plot concepts and ideas, literally anything is possible. At least, that's what I always tell myself to keep from crying ^_^
*random fan moment*
I LOVE ESCAFLOWNE!!!
*fan moment over*
Sorry, it's the show that first got me hooked on anime. I'll probably request to be buried with it or something. *fights back tears* Sorry (again), I literaly just stopped watching it 30 minutes ago, so yeah.
Alright, enough with the enormous tribute to my gateway drug anime. Oh, and the movie's good, too (although more violent), not to mention the music. Gorgeous. And... *slaps self* Stop! Move on!
Ok, I had my first Japanese class on Monday (yay!) Sounds like it's going to be fun. Two of my friends are in the class with me, so I already have pre-set study buddies ^_^ And I can call watching anime "studying", which is always a plus *muwahaha*
Also, I'm planning on making a "mellow" CD. I'm just gonna call it that too. My Mellow Mix (trademark, patent pending, etc...). I'm planning on using songs like "Hallelujah" (yes, the "Shrek" song), that song Saya sings in Black Cat, "Such Great Heights", "I Will Follow You Into The Dark" by Deathcab for Cutie, "Give Me One Reason" by Tracy Chapman, that Norah Jones song I can't remember the name of at this moment, etc. Gotta love the mellow, and sometimes slightly depressing songs. Anyway, if you have any suggestions feel free to speak ^_^
-Quote of the Day-
*my 10 yr old sister is lying across my doorway*
Me: "Um, Hun, that placement has a rather detrimental effect on my attempts to cross this area of the floor."
Kristen: "Wha?"
Me: "Move your ass out of my way."
-Random moment in my day-
Escaflowne! Muwahaha, you though I was done, didn't you?! Love it in all it's classic anime goodness! I command it!
