That Damn Whistling Again!
Sorry for the disappearing and such again. My cousin’s been visiting for about a week and so we’ve been trying to keep her occupied, as well as doing my other stuff. Plus, I’ve been working on an OK Go fan group for Facebook. When I tried to join one and discovered it didn’t exist, I felt it was my sacred duty as a “Pre-Treadmill Video” fan and Juggling Club member to establish one. So please excuse me if I have OK Go on the brain today. For those of you who might not know what the hell I’m rambling about, watch this, if you can. Some of you may remember/have heard of this band doing a routine on treadmills at the VMA’s this year. They’re an awesome rock group with what I think might be a penchant for the slightly insane. And for any of you who know the lyrics to the Rolling Stones “Sympathy for the Devil”, OK Go has a song on they’re most recent CD called “A Good Idea at the Time” that’s an obvious reference to it. Here are the lyrics:
“A Good Idea at the Time”
True about my taste
True about my wealth
The thing about St Petersburg I was never there myself
So come on
Anastasia might have cried all night, but I couldn’t say myself
So come on, yeah come on
I appreciate your courtesy, your well earned politesse
But you got yourself into your own mess
You know the demon’s in the design:
A good idea at the time
Seemed like a good idea at time
Now how it all went down, only Pilate knows
All I ever asked of him is when the bars would close
So come on
Oh, I appreciate your courtesy, your well earned politesse
But you got yourself into your own mess
You know the demon’s in the design:
A good idea at the time
Seemed like a good idea at time
Now what you gonna do about it?
Now, it’s true about my wealth,
And true about my taste
But you dont need no help from me, you'll lay yourself to waste
So come on
Seemed like a good idea at time
Yeah seemed like a good idea at time
Fun stuff ^_^ Anyway, if any of you are simultaneously Facebook members and OK Go fans, please check out my group.
I felt like doing another list, so here it is:
Songs That Robo Really Relates To/Identifies With/Whatever
(1) “Last Train Home” by Lost Prophets
(2) “Crash the Party” by OK Go (great anti-romance song, look it up)
(3) “Jane” by Barenaked Ladies
Hmm, I’m beginning to notice a theme there… anyway, do any of you guys have songs that you really identify with?
Well, I guess that’s it for today. I’ll try to keep posting more often *crosses fingers* Have a good day all ^_^
-Quotation of the Day-
Henry: “It’s a big, bad ray of death!”
Jack: “Oh, a death ray.” *turns to Stark* “Why didn’t you just say death ray?”
-Eureka- (I love this show, so funny ^_^)
