I’m Sorry I Ever Wished That I Went To A Real College

Well, not really, but I swear that four year universities exist solely to drain our souls and prolong their immortality. Or something like that. Not to mention take up all out time. Curse you NIU!!!

Anyway, I had some free time today, so I finished watching the Ouran High School Host Club anime (I’ve been putting it off T_T) I’m probably one of the only people in the world who would say this but I found the last episodes to be rather hilarious, which is weird because they’re supposed to be kind of serious. But that’s the thing, Ouran is such a zany and odd series that anything serious just borders on parody. I mean, the whole series is shojo, so it has to have that dramatic, at least quasi-romantic ending, but Ouran has a reputation for mocking its own genre. So the dramatic, kind of “out there” ending was odd, off, and, in that way, perfect. ^_^ Yay for paradoxical anime!

And so, in order to honor the passing of this bone-racking, funny anime series (although the manga is still going), I have a new list *ahem*

Robo’s List Of Ouran Theme Music
- Tamaki: “Do What You Want” by OK Go (That seems to be his motto, after all ^_^) & “C’est Moi” from the musical Camelot (Narcissistic and French, what more could you ask for?)
- Kyoya: “Invincible” by OK Go (He really deserves a better song, but sadly, it’s hard to find a song that says “you’re evil incarnate, and we think that’s friggin awesome”)
- Haruhi: “Jane” by Barenaked Ladies
- Kaoru and Hikaru: “It’s A Disaster” by OK Go (For some reason, I really like this one for them)
- Hunny and Mori: “Island in the Sun” by Weezer (I’d give Mori his own song, if he ever talked enough to give any insight T_T)

Yeah, I’ve been listening to a lot of OK Go, if you didn’t notice ^_^

-Quotation of the Day-
“‘Plundering? I’m not sure you understand. We’ve not invented the airship to go plundering.’
‘So what on earth is it for?’ asked the Pirate Captain.
‘For? What is all science “for”!’ exclaimed the scientist. ‘Pushing back frontiers! The thrill of discovery! Advancing the sum total of human knowledge and endeavour! And looking down ladies tops.’”
-The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists by Gideon Defoe- (long live British humor)
