BEEF STIR FRY YUMMY
Original recipe yield: 4 servings.
Servings:4 (change)

INGREDIENTS:
1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
1 cup boiling water
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 pound boneless sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
1 large green pepper, julienned
1 cup sliced carrots or celery
5 green onions, chopped into 1 inch pieces
Hot cooked rice

DIRECTIONS:
Dissolve bouillon in water.
Combine the cornstarch and soy sauce until smooth; add to bouillon.
Set aside.
Toss beef with garlic, ginger and pepper.
In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, stir-fry beef in 1 tablespoon oil until cooked as desired; remove and keep warm.
Heat remaining oil; stir-fry vegetables until crisp-tender.
Stir soy sauce mixture and add to the skillet; bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
Return meat to pan and heat through.
Serve over rice.

INGREDIENTS:
4 slices bacon, diced
1 1/2 cups chopped onion
1 1/2 cups water
4 cups peeled and cubed potatoes
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
ground black pepper to taste
3 cups half-and-half
3 tablespoons butter
2 (10 ounce) cans minced clams

DIRECTIONS:
Place diced bacon in large stock pot over medium-high heat.
Cook until almost crisp; add onions, and cook 5 minutes.
Stir in water and potatoes, and season with salt and pepper.
Bring to a boil, and cook uncovered for 15 minutes, or until potatoes are fork tender.
Pour in half-and-half, and add butter.
Drain clams, reserving clam liquid; stir clams and 1/2 of the clam liquid into the soup.
Cook for about 5 minutes, or until heated through.
Do not allow to boil.
