Love Cold As Ice

Lost between the angry and confused
Tears fall down my face
I try to remember the good times
Go back to my happy place

How did I end up here?
In this dark world of suffering of hate
How do I get back to my real life
I try to clean this slate

My heart is broken
My eyes are Swollen
My pace slower than normal

The lights dim down
I hear the sound
The mark of no tomorrow

No thinking, no seeing
Nothing left to feel
I need you here
So I have no fear

To set the soul afire
Burning birhgtly for all to see
This love I feel between you and me.

Why is it toward the end?
Why is this fire flickering out?

The cold has returned,
the soul which had once burned
Now full of worry and doubt.

Six feet under my heart still beats
clawing itself through this unsteady tomb
trying to find its one true home
like a demon clawing through the womb

My body is frozen
My life was short
My time with you was great

The lights return
I forget you
A new love awakes.
