if horses could draw they would draw their Gods as horses
In the bible it says, that God created man in its own image, on the sixth day, after it was done with all other animals. Humans unlike other creatures have souls. As God is above man, Man is above all other living things on earth.
Darwin’s evolution of the species is simple logical observations and reasoning. Children look like their parents and the fitter children will survive to have children of their own unlike the weaker ones. within time only the fit to survive will remain.
The big clash between these theories is the relation of man and animal. If Darwin is right then it might be that Man is nothing more than another animal and he only became what he is today because he needed to survive. Whether human beings are better than animals or their equal is really something to think about on your own.

I don't know much about Freud but apparently he could trace stuff we do to our babyhood, parents and uhm... sexual desires. Men want to kill their fathers and marry their mothers and stuff like that. it follows that if things we do can be traced to our sexual drives than it can then be traced to animals, famous for their "sexual drives".

For example. In our classics lesson we talked bout haw it is inappropriate it is for a woman to ask a man out and it has been inappropriate since Greek times. when you think about it- it must be in our genes. it's something left over from animal world that has been coated by our thought's, etiquette’s, culture's, religion. Female's wait while males show off their feathers, furs, horns, even fighting skills. I don't know many animals where females do the active part.

Besides the obvious lust, other things can be said to come from animal side. Hunger, anger, hatred, our obsessions, even such hiding under glorified name of love. Music too. Noticed how that is one of the most powerful mediums? You don't need to think to listen to music it goes straight for you emotions (all of witch can be traced back to animal side, ofcourse)

One difference between us and other animals that I'll admit to is our ability to break things down. Some animals have primitive speech and tools. They cannot advance them because they're only capable of simple actions. So are we. However, we can create a series of simple actions that build up to something more complex. Our memory and imagination allows us to combine simple processes.
