New Story!
Since people liked my short story, I wrote a new one today. It's about how Keera and Helious first met. Happy ending this time. I don't think it's as good as my last one though.

Starry Night

It was a beautiful starry night as all gathered for the costume ball. Everyone looked so elegant in their dresses and tuxedos as they danced in the brightly decorated ballroom. But as all danced, one young girl stood outside on the balcony staring into the starry sky. She was dressed as Neo-Princess Saturn in her long purple dress. As she stared into the sky, she jumped at the sound of a voice behind her. “What are you doing out here all alone?”
She turned around to see a very handsome teenager dressed as Tuxedo Mask. Through the mask his golden eyes stared at her as she smiled.
“It’s just so beautiful outside. I always get some what hypnotized by the shining stars.”
He stood next to her starring up at the stars with her. “My name is Helious.”
She looks at him suddenly. “Oh! I’m sorry, how rude of me. My name is Keera.”
He smiles at her. “It’s very nice to meet you, Keera.”
They continued to stare at the sky, glancing at each other from time to time until Helious broke the silence. “The lake looks nice tonight.”
Keera looks into the distance. “I didn’t even notice it. Yes, it must look beautiful with the reflection of thousands of stars within it. I have an idea! Let’s go to the lake and watch the stars from there.”
“Sure, but let’s make it interesting. Let’s have a little race.”
Keera’s eyes open wide. “I am not going to run in this dress and if I did, I would kill myself with this shoe on!”
Helious looks down. “You’re right. Let’s just go back inside and....” He takes off running for the lake.
“Helious! You cheater!” Yells Keera running after him throwing of her shoes. They’re neck and neck as they approach the lake.
“I thought you said you wouldn’t run in that dress!”
Keera laughs. “Ya, well.....sometimes I can’t turn down a challenge!”
A few yards before they reach the lake, Keera pulls in front and wins the race. She begins to jump up and down in victory. “I won! I won! I won!” She starts to spin around joylessly. Helious smiles at Keera’s happiness but then notices her spinning a little too close to the lake. Keera’s feet get caught up in her dress. Helious is able to catch her just before she falls into the lake. He pulls her toward him and they fall to the ground. They lie side by hard breathing hard while staring at each other, Keera blushing. “I’m so sorry, Helious! I guess I got a little carried away. Helious just stared at her for a few moments until he finally spoke. “You have beautiful eyes.”
Keera jumps up and blushes even more. Helious stands up, reaches into his tux, pulls out a red rose, and gives it to Keera. She looks at the rose, then Helious, then the rose again, not sure how to respond. Helious sat down and looked over the lake. “You were right. You can see every star shining in the lake.”
Keera sits down next to him and rests her head on his shoulder. “I’m glad I could spend such a perfect night with you, Helious.”
Helious smiles. “Me too, Keera. Me too.”
