Chapter 6
Chapter 6 up. You get to see Lucifer again.
Chapter Six
A few weeks had passed since the Lucifer incident. Emerald spent most of her time with Michael in the woods. Michael taught her how to heal minor wounds and create small plants. When they weren’t practicing, they were looking for Tiffany. She had gone missing ever since what happened to Emerald. Michael would search the city as Emerald searched the woods. With the animals by her side, Michael didn’t feel to worried about leaving her on her own. Emerald would walk through the woods all day searching. “Tiffany! Tiffany! Oh Yoko. Where could she be? I’m so tired. I haven’t slept in ages. I’ve just been so worried about her. Yoko stopped and lied on the ground. Though Emerald couldn’t speak with animals yet, she understood that he wanted her to rest. “Maybe you’re right, Yoko. I really should rest, but just for a few minutes.” She took of her cloak, placed it on the ground and rested on it. Yoko walked on the cloak and curled up next to her. He watched Emerald fall asleep. As Yoko was about to rest his head, he suddenly perked up; growling and showing his fangs as a dark figure appeared. It was Lucifer that same smug smirk on his face. “How sweet. You’re trying to protect.” He kicked the snarling fox hard. Yoko hit a tree and began to bleed. “I hate sweet.” Yoko struggled to get up put passed out. Lucifer sneered at the fox and then looked at the sleeping Emerald. “You shouldn’t be left alone like this; you never know what could happen.” He reaches out to grab her but stops when he hears a voice behind her. “She’s not alone.” Lucifer turns around to Michael, sword drawn. “Michael, what an unpleasant surprise.”
“Step away from the girl, Lucifer.”
“Oh! So she is your student. How wonderful!” Michael’s rage increased. “Don’t play games with me! You already knew she was my student, that’s why you’re stalking her!” Lucifer’s eyes opened surprised. “Stalking her? That’s a little harsh. I would say I’m more concerned for her. She has the potential to become a great guardian, just like your old student, Suzan. Say, what happened to Suzan anyways?” Michael gripped his sword tightly. “It wasn’t safe for her to be on earth anymore. With your constant ‘concern’ she quit.”
“That’s interesting. I didn’t know angels could quit.”
“She has a different job now where she can stay in heaven and never be hurt by you again!” Emerald stirred a bit from Michael’s yelling. Lucifer looks at her then harshly at Michael. “Michael shhhh. Don’t wake her. She’s such an angel when she’s sleeping.” Michael walks towards Lucifer threateningly. “If you want to keep all of your limbs, I suggest you leave now.”
“Fine. I can see I’m not wanted here.” He begins to fly away. “Oh by the way. You might want to do something before that fox loses all its blood.” Michael looks and sees the unconscious Yoko. He put his sword away, rushed over and quickly healed him. Yoko perked up his head and looked over at Emerald. “Don’t worry, Yoko. She’s okay. She never even woke up. Why don’t you head home? I’ll take care of things.” Yoko looked at Emerald for a moment, then at Michael and then ran off. Michael wailed over to Emerald and picked her and her cloak up. “Still sleeping. Come on, kid. Let’s go home.”
