For the last couple of weeks, I have been learning how to drive a manual car, and tomorrow, I will be doing the practial driver's assessment. My dad keeps telling me not screw up because my mum failed her test several times before passing. This is my frist chance to prove I'm not a screwup.
Anyway, I hope I pass, and maybe next month, you'll see me driving around the streets of Western Australia with my new P-plate!
For those who don't know, in Australia, you have to put a 'L-plate' (L is for Learner) on your car to indicate that you are learning how to drive, but when you pass your practical assessment they give you a log book to record your driving experience, after you accumulate 25 hours worth of experience they give you a 'P-plate' (P is for Provisional, I think) which has to be displayed for two years. After two years, you can take your 'P-plate' off and you will be able to drive around like everyone else.
