My First Wallpaper
I submitted my first wallpaper just then. It's a simple Inuyasha wallpaper featuring Inuyasha and Kikyou. With the exception of creating "Inuyasha" (that credit goes to Rumiko Takahashi", I did everything else myself, from scanning to colouring and editing.
The scan was one that I took ages ago, it had been sitting on my computer at home. So when I decided to try making a wallpaper, I decided to use that scan. I attempted to clean up the scan, but I just couldn't do it, so I re-drew the picture by tracing it in Photoshop.
After digitally inking the image, I coloured it. Normally I would use just 2 or 3 layers for each colour area, but I put in the extra effort and used 4 or more layers to try and get a certain effect.
For thr background, I used the gradient tool, fade from green to blue, and the I added in the grass and clouds which I learned how to do using different tutorials. After that, I considered adding extra effects, sparkles, random details etc, but I wasn't very good at that, and by then, it had been weeks since I started working on the wallpaper and my motivation to continue was disappearing. So I left it nice and simple.
I haven't posted anything here for a while. The reason is that since I got my new laptop, I switched over from Internet Explorer to Opera and Firefox which don't display this site properly, it becomes this jumbled up mess.
Anyway, my first wallpaper was something I did to test out some of the stuff I learned from Photoshop tutorials. I might make another when I get to know my way around Photoshop better (I still haven't worked out how to use the brushes that I downloaded).
