This week's lesson: never bite more than you can chew
Greetings all!
I don't know if it came off that way on my past posts, but I've been pissed off these last few days. And not to a particular something either, I guess that school puts me that way or something, so now that back to school is over (or just beginning -_-) I feel much better. That doesn't mean I had a great week though, it was all a nosedive spiral since monday and it all got better on sunday
Monday-Friday
If there's a non-anime character that I like, its Garfield, and my favorite phrase of all times "I hate mondays!", well that one was no exception since I started the online courses I'm taking and my connection acted up, it was so slow that the interface took a good hour just to load. To top it all off my classes appeared to be harder that i expected (insert post title here!)
Tuesday was the same, the only thing that calmed me down was the fact that because it was the first week, the assignments were no big deal
Wednesday was crap! I had nothing to do since my connection gave out (one more time and I'm throwing my modem away!!)
Thursday was blah, nothing to do the pc worked fine for once, until i tried to come to myO that is
Friday, I tweaked the modem a little bit, fooled around with it huzzah it works now! if only I could get DSL or something now T-T
Weekend
(Post title goes here again!) Now my classes, I thought, were pretty much handled, I'd read mondays and tuesdays do some work on wednesdays and check for updates the rest of the days. Big mistake! turns out those simple assignments where long dragged out ones, simple though so it was all right, just needed to rework my unexisting schedule.
Feeling much better now (this Monday's OK by my standards ^^). I do have some bad news though, my pic (the one I've been finishing for four months !_! now) will have to be put off for now, these classes are simple for now, but they will become really hard starting next week. On that note, I might not be able to come here every week as I do now.
Sorry guys T-T

crappy weekend
Hey all,
Well as the title says, this weekend was crap, crap, crap, crap, crap all three days long! Maybe not all but overall this weekend sucked
Saturday
Now I dunno what it was on Saturday, but I was sooo bored. I tried cooking, it blew up in my face, I tried gaming, didn't even turn on the GC, tried writing, writer's block. It was as if nothing could better my day. To top it all off I had to do three times the chores around the house x3 The only thing that seemed to be half good was that I saw a Jackie Chan movie, man that guy is nuts! but the movie was cool
Sunday
Crap, all day. Same thing as Saturday only worse, again the only thing that seemed to cheer me up was watching movies, so I rented Ghost Rider and Fracture (both were great, though I didn't like Ghost Rider that much)
Faster updates, hopefully
Well, as you've most likely found out on your own, it's school time again, and poor old ryk is no exception, so as of today I'm back on class. No worries though, since it's all online and I can pretty much handle it. That does open the way for me to be in the Internet for about five hours every day, so I'd probably begin posting every three days instead of a week, and I'll comment on your sites more often too ^^ something good outta something not too good
Later
my condolences for the school goers T-T

Naruto overload/weekend
Yo!
Ok, so who's tired of Naruto now? Well I'll get into that a little later, let's see what happened this weekend
Friday
All pretty much uneventful, I tried my hand at improvising in the kitchen once more (and once more it blew up on my face T_T) I did catch some of the early Naruto episodes that I missed for some reason
Saturday
Ok, so by this time I thought I was all caught up with Naruto except for the new one right? But I forgot one little detail. My Mom doesn't like anime that much, but if she gets whiff of a good one she won't let it go. I guess I'm partially responsible for that since I did nudge her into watching case closed and then naruto and now she doesn't live without them. Anyway, I remember that Mom didn't watch any Naruto after they got back from Zabuza and all that because she had to go to class, well now she had the perfect chance to catch up and she took it it was gonna be a looooong weekend
Sunday
By now I think I've had enough of naruto to last me a year or two, but Ma she couldn't get enough of it. I love seeing how she disses Gaara everytime he appears on screen its funny but i've had enough and with the all naruto station on one tv and all soccer station on the other I decided to flip off the tube and go read (yes read I couldn't believe it myself!). I usually like reading, but I hate being pushed into it, so I left it after a while and instead cooked lunch (more like linner) for all had a much better time ^^
Some weird stuff about me
So I was eating an orange Saturday and I realized how strangely I go about eating an orange. I usually peel it off by hand (it's much easier now) and then peel off the skin in every slice(?) of orange in there so I can eat the globules. When I finished my second slice I wondered if anyone else ate orange like that and then I thought about what other weird stuff I do.
I don't eat breakfast or dinner (but I take it out on lunch!), I don't study for any test unless they're final exams (and I do better on those that I don't study for), every time I follow a recipe (I'm told) it comes out good, but as soon as I add something (anything) else it ruins the dish, and whenever I stay too long in the sun, I tend to get a nosebleed for some reason. Well just a little more about poor old Dave xD
Well that's all for now
Later
A dish-ful of orange globules for all us weird people ^^

ok, so I exaggerated a little/weekend
Howdy,
Ok so I went a little overboard with my last post. I guess I got so mad because it was the first game i had, not because of the game itself. I'm much better now, so much so that I decided to give the game to my cuz, he deserves it.
weekend
This weekend was sooo busy. Saturday we went to drop off grandpa at the airport, he went back to Ecuador. My family isn't built for long goodbyes so we all pretty much said our sayonaras and gramps gave us his blessing (for what who knows) and then he left, my Dad stayed with him until his plane left, and therein lies a little worry for me. Dad left with gramps at about 2:30 right? gramps' flight would leave at 3, my family stayed at the waiting room as we do everytime gramps leaves.
So we waited and waited, I went to put another half hour on the parking meter and then it was 5:10. Oh, man where's Dad? Now my gramps is about 80, so this time around Dad was thinking of getting in the plane with him and drop him off at his next flight in LAX, so that crossed my mind first and since none of us has cell phones it was a clear possiblity. 5:30, no Dad. Now I think something happened and they're not even on board. With all the crazy security they might have been detained for something (highly unlikely, but I was really worried by then). 6:00, still no Dad. Finally I go to the information center and have him paged. He appears ten minutes later saying that something was wrong with the plane and that they had to "jump start" it. Problem was they forgot to tell Dad that the plane had left so he just stayed there waiting for news. Scary experience, but it was all good.
Sunday Dad finally had it and decided to return the TV we had. Remember when they hooked up the cable? Well Dad asked the guy about how all black colors on the TV seemed to be "snowy", the guy said that that's cause plasma tv's have a shelf life on them about 2000 hours then they have to be replaced. Well Dad put up with the TV for some time now and then just outta the blue he had it. We had to repack the tv and go to walmart to have it exchanged. hopefully the new one (an LCD) won't give us much problems since I'm the one that gets stuck with the cable connections everytime something happens
Hmmm...I think that's it, more next week unless something else happens

NO FAAAAAIR!!!
Hey hey,
First off thank you for your good wishes and sorry I didn't comment on your sites or answer pms my only excuse is lazyness, but i'm all right now and yes sesshy we are gettin' old xD, it's all good tho.
All right I got something I want to say. I hate Pokemon, hate it to the very core of my being. Now that wasn't always the case, I actually liked it, the anime, the games everything. At the beginning it was "oh, cool you collect 151 creatures and make them powerful and oh look they're so different and cool looking" then when the 2nd gen came out it was "oh...well if it works, why not add more right? there's another world to explore too" by the third generation it was "oh man! again?" by the fourth gen it was reduced to "oh pshh! pokemon?! don't like it anymore". Now I said that in order to set up a scene that happened yesterday, but first some background.
I've been in the US for about 7 years now. When I first came, I knew squat of english and I was thrown right into class the day after I arrived here. Now that was scary but somehow I got through it. My Dad (remember him? he's the best!) thought of something to help me with the English. He bought me a Gameboy Color and a Pokemon Crystal game (at this time I was at the "oh...well if it works, why not add more right? there's another world to explore too" stage, and had never played a pokemon game). So I got through most of it with help from my pop and at times my friends in school, and in the end I wound up collecting 248 Pokemon of 251. The other three, I knew, I would never get so I set my game aside and started playing other games my pop bought me for the english thing. OK so six years later, my Mom asked me if I would be willing to give up my Gameboy Color to my cousin. My cousin (not the one with the existential troubles) and I go waaaaay back so I agreed but I would keep the Crystal game. As i was packing up all the games I had (which was only four), I wanted to play a little of Crystal, so I popped it in my Gameboy Advance and turn on...Yay gamefreak presents....and then....and then....IT WAS GOOOONE!!! All of it, my pokemon my records everything!!!
*sniff* I'm OK, i'm ok. Well needless to say I was bummed for the rest of the day and some of early today, but I'm ok, I did finish most of it. and it doesn't matter anymore, but I just had to get it out of my system.
So has anything like that happened to you? Not the game's erased but something that you really like and put hours on it and then it's gone??

Happy 19th!!!....or 20th????
Hey all,
Well, today's my birthday...surprise xD! I am now 19 years old (emphasis on the old xD) Just kiddin everybody, no matter what everyone tells me I am NOT old....yet. So, today when I woke up (about 45 minutes ago) I thought of how they do age in Japan and it got me thinking do you say in "official" places that you're 20 when in reality you're 19? and how about school do you still start at 6? or 5? eh, it doesn't matter
Looking at wikipedia, I see some weird stuff happened in my birthday in the past. Here's some of the highlights, if they can be called that...
1806. The Holy Roman Empire ends.
1825. Bolivia's free from Spain.
1890. William Eemmler becomes the first to receive the electric chair
1911. Lucille Ball's birthday.
1926. Houdini spends 91 minutes underwater and survives.
1945. Hiroshima hit by atom bomb.
1962. Michelle Yeoh's birthday.
1965. Yuki Kajiura's birthday.
1970. M. Night Shyamalan's birthday.
1984. Prince releases Purple Rain.
1988. My birthday ^_^
you can see all the stuffs that happened in August 6th in Wikipedia.
Well, nothing big planned for today I don't think, though while I was taking a shower my mom and dad mysteriously disappeared said they'd be back later ?_? I dunno probably went for cake (something that is never absent in our birthdays for some reason). Ooh, something funny happens in Ecuador (where I'm from) in someone's birthday, the celebrated gets belted once for each year he/she's lived !_!. It's not a beatdown mind you, but I haven't had one of those in all my years here.
Well I think that's it...
Birthday cake for all, especially to the Sesshy for her 3rd MyO anniversary and to Avenged-Sevenfold whose birthday is in four days Happy Birthday to you!!!!

High point of summer I'm afraid
Hey all, sorry about the no posting-commenting-pm answering and general ryyoku ain't around period.
So I guess that going to the Phantom was the high point of my summer. My family was supposed to go to San Francisco in late July, but no dice. Why? It's all a big mess but let me just say that it concerns me and my sister's inability to get scholarships. Something that apparently must include some serious money-spending on doctors and pictures and finger print analysis??? I'm getting tired of it all....
More problems and probably moving...
Well not exactly problems from me. My cousin is having some existential problems. She's 22 and thinks she's old. Most of this because her parents didn't let her follow the career she wanted, so now she's looking for excuses to get out of the country and go study somewhere else. I guess I was the first one she thought of, since she asked me what kind of schools are there over here. I don't know what I'm gonna do about that, but I think I may need to talk to my uncle about this ?_? but then again he was the one that got cuz in this mess so........I'll figure something out.
and yes I'll probably have to move (not in the immediate future though) since I'll get my BAS next christmas and my sister would have paid off her loan by then. My dad asked where we're going next, and thankfully we all follow my sister. So where are we going by January 2009???? Probably England !_! but if I have anything to say about it I'll be going to JAPAAAAAN!!!! Yay ^_^
ahem...I guess that's all. I'm still doing my fic translations and my pic is coming along,
Take care of yourselves now

Busy Saturday and a link Finally!!!
Hello all,
Well I'm writing on Sunday simply because yesterday was so busy! I got up at about seven (you can imagine the mood I was in) because supposedly we (being my sister, brother and me) were going to Vegas to see the Phantom of the Opera. So at the beginning it was cool, I was just a little moody cause it was so early.
Then we get in the car and being the family we are we got into a discussion and the thing was going downhill. As we get to the Venetian (where the Phantom was) we find out that my grandpa's coming too (oh, joy!) No offense to grandpa, but he's soooooo boring. On top of that we were going to the Phantom because my Mom and Dad went by themselves some time ago and were feeling guilty to my sister who's an opera fanatic. So in the end, the opera was cool and all but I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't out of guilt that we got to go (and tons more if gramps hadn't gone)
So today we were supposed to get dish tv (finally) but we didn't must wait one more day. I can take it, but no anime channels T-T
Well, I know I made you guys wait but I finally finished the translation and it is posted in fanfiction.ner (hot off the press, as they say xD) so hop on over there and drop me a review if you'd like the address is...um...I had it here somewhere
*starts messing with the desk*
AHA! ok...here it is

It only hurts when I laugh...
Hey hey everyone
Look I don't want to scare the two of you that visit me xD, but the reason I haven't been here lately is because I've been in the hospital. Why? you may say well, because stupid me forgot how to walk down the stairs and instead I rolled down them
I wound up unconscious with a cracked head and dislocated shoulders (ouch, by the way) and have not had access to the net since. So two weeks later my fingers are starting to work right again and I'm back at my PC so sorry to all I'm trying to catch up on everything that went on.
Needless to say I haven't been able to draw much less translate (though I'm about halfway through the first chapter yay ^_^)
all right I think I'm gonna go spamify your sites
