8 Signs You Shouldn't Be Driving
1. You cannot see a stop sign 3 feet away, even with your glasses on.
2. The word 'stop' on the sign translates into 'speed up and almost hit the kid crossing the street'.
3. You can barely see over the stearing apparatous.
4. The traffic light turns green while you are still applying eye make-up & chatting with your best bud on the cell. You don't realize this, then curse and wonder why everyone behind you is beeping/yelling.
5. You run a red light and cut directly in front of a schoolbus full of little children.
6. Since you can't deside what lane you want to be in, you settle for driving in both at the same time.
7. You are inept at parking.
8. You cannot read english (or whatever language the traffic signs are written in).

A Leave of Absence
::pauses in humming of random Musical songs from practice:: *sigh* I'm probably not going to be able to update this for a while, not that I ever have anything interesting to say anyway. With Midterms this week and next week, C.W. Post Orchestra starting up again next monday, and Dress rehersals/Pit practices for the school Musical (Damn Yankees) which is preforming the weekend begining Feb, I most likely won't have much time.

I figured let every know ahead of time this time, instead of having a repeat of the Quizilla insident...Farewell for the time being.

I'm part of the Walking Dead!
My forensic's class went on a trip to the North Shore DNA and Gentec's lab place in affiliation with the LIJ hospital today. It was pretty fun. We had to do theis fairly extensive lab to run a very general test on our own individual pieces of DNA (just a tiny part of it, Chromosome 16) and see if we had the Alu gene insertion. Heh, but with the electrophoresis...some of our results (like mine) didn't show up well enough (or in my case not at all) to discern yay or nay. Since it looked like I and a couple of others had no DNA at all, we were dubbed the 'walking dead' in good humour by the rest of the class.

   Question
I have a question...what is it with some guys and their need to show off? It happens all the time. You try to have a normal conversation in the hallway or something, and depending on the guy they find a need to act like tough sh*t in posture and speech.

Is it just me going crazy or xomething???

Life's Little Lessons
If your Forensics teacher, or any other teacher for that matter, states while speaking about DNA and Genetics somethign about you being genetically stronger than either of your parents (perhaps from the mix of genes)...

NEVER EVER pass the comment, "So that's why people have to keep inventing new ways to kill each other."

   *sigh*
Changed the midi file again, it's now Broken (Seether ft. Amy Lee).

Yup, it's been a horrible weekend so far...3 hr pit rehersal at 9 in the morning on a Sat. (heh, not a bad as All County or Long Island Strings which makes things better ^.^) Everyone just seemed a bit down, and a swollen hand was helping the case. Expecially when I then tried to play Halo 2 with my friends. Yea, that was a bad idea all together but I hate not being able to do things that I used to handle with no problem. Anyway, and then my parents were all cranky and didn't want to let me go hang out because I'm the only girl in the group usually. Don't get me wrong, I understand where they are coming from...but seriously! These are guys I've known since Elementary school days (most of them), and its not like my parents don't know them. It's not so much of my mom, but my dad. "It's not that we don't trust you, we do. It's other people we don't trust." -.- Sheesh, I have more of a chance getting in trouble hanging out with a group of girls than I do hanging out with the guys. I'm sorry, I'm not into the whole 'lets gossip about this ones clothes and relationship problems while we do each others hair and nails and watch this stupid romantic film as we chat about the various cute boys in our classes' thing that it always seems to turn into when I hang out with them.

::crosses arms and grumbles incoherently:: Sorry about the random outburst, but the raincloud above my head is annoying the hell out of me. I love rain, but still.

I think I'll change the theme again during the week...probably back to the darker tones again. ::grabs a helmet with a flashlight and a broom:: Well now it's off to see the wizard- I mean, off ot clean my room...and it's not even my mess! Not Kidding! Note the serious face. It's because the PS2 is hooked up in my my bedroom...and I have two little brothers. Do the math...Hopefully I'll come out alive, and without stumbling upon Golum's lair or Mordor on the way.

~*~ Tales from the Pit ~*~
No, I'm not going to say anything about practice today...then what's with the post, right? Believe it or not, I just really liked the way the title sounded when for some odd reason it popped in my head while doing my Chem homework.
