I wouldn't have it any other way...

"Gainesville Rock City" by Less Than Jake - just a little plug for my hometown boys since I'm now back in our beloved hometown itself!

Well, here I am in Eastern time again. It sure is weird. I mean I grew up here but having lived in Central for 7 years it is always weird when I visit. It's almost 2am but it doesn't really feel like it. I am tired though after all that driving. Phew! My mom's dialup is driving me crazy right now, I'm so spoiled by cable at my house. I should be able to update pretty regularly for a few days at least though before I head to Nichole's wedding in Pennsylvania. I am going to try my best to get to everyone's site that left me a comment on the last 2 posts tonight but if I don't I'm sorry in advance!! Gomen minnna! *bows* Hopefully everybody else's site I can get to tomorrow morning when I get up...

That pic I put up yesterday gave me an idea, since I have already exhausted nearly every Gundam Wing picture out there I will post who different friends of mine would be if we were anime characters as I see them on my vacation. We'll see if it doesn't get too confusing as we go with me being different people each time...oh, yesterday I was Sakura and Holly was Tomoyo...so anyway, here's me and Shannon. Well, this is how I used to see us back when I lived with him and Chris anyway...

That one should be pretty obvious who's who...

All in the pursuit of carnivorous plants...

Ok, I'm deviating, but I'm on vacation so I can do that, right? This is just something my friend Luke said the other day. He's a bit obsessed with his new venus fly traps and sundews. He checks them about 18 times a day, and he's only home for about 5 hours that he's not asleep!

Me an' Holly...

Well, obviously we are having fun! I hope everybody else had a good week. I will try to visit your sites tomorrow night (I guess it's really tonight...) when I get to my mom's house and give some more details! *hugs everyone*

Sometimes I need to remember just to breathe...

"Don't Stay" by - yep I'm still hooked - Linkin Park...

Well, today was rather boring. It finally stopped raining but Marina is busy with Lorinda and baby Desiree (that's her granddaughter) so I'm not going over there for a while. I went rollerblading and gave Hikari a bath. He got pretty dirty going outside the past few days. I did some laundry and dishes and read my Animerica Extra. It's been sitting by my bed for a couple weeks now...oh, I also got a prize in the mail from Shonen Jump. I won one of their drawings for a DBZ grip for the gameboy advance...too bad I don't have one...they would pick my name out this month...

I talked to Nichole and she convinced me not to highlight my hair until after her wedding. She didn't care but she wants her friends to make a good impression on Dan's parents, which is understandable since she has to see them every day. So, I'm just gonna have red hair for a while instead of red and blond. Oh well. Oh yeah, I can't believe this show has been on for 3 weeks now and I haven't said anything about it. That's right! Case Closed, better known to the true otaku as Detective Conan. It's quite funny, especially if you like mysteries. They always show you a clue after the next episode preview and that object becomes important in solving the next case. So, without further ado, here's Conan!

   Heavy thoughts sift through dust...

"From the Inside" by Linkin Park, don't be surprised if I start quoting them all the time now, I am an official junkie. And still disgusted with myself about it, but that's what I get for spending all my days around a bunch of 10 year olds. (no offense guys)

And now for your giggling pleasure, an exchange from The Simpsons...
Bart: *whining* How come Lisa gets something and I don't?
Homer: *trying to sound patronizing* because she took the trouble to wander away and talk to a stranger.

Hee hee, all I can think when I open my site is Kero-chan...CUTE!!! Well, it's only one more week till I leave town for all my summer stuff. Less than that acutally, I'm leaving on Sunday. The first stop is BR of course to see Holly and... whoever else turns up. Then it's off to Florida for a few days before we go up to Nichole's wedding. I'm so glad my mom got my bridesmaid dress so I don't have to keep it straight in the car all the way from here.

I started on my Heero video today. It's gonna be really good, I think! I want to enter the AMV contest at AnimeFest in the fall so I gotta work really hard on it. My poor Duo-kun is so neglected though!

This song is the cross that I bear...

"What a Good Boy" by Barenaked Ladies

Well, I fianally saw the Harry Potter movie and it was soooo awesome! Ok, yeah they left out parts from the book, it happens, but for the most part it was accurate. The only parts they didn't include that I wish they would have are an explanation of what the shrieking shack was used for, and the significance of the names Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs. Both of those could have been thrown into Harry's final conversation with Lupin and it wouldn't have taken much time, but oh well. It made me want to read the book again though.

Angel Sanctuary vol 2 came in today, but I haven't read it yet. I guess I sound like I buy stuff a lot huh? Lately I've been getting a lot of new manga but I ordered it all a long time ago before it came out mostly. I don't really have much to talk about so...

All I ever wanted was your life...

"Dosed" by Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The scariest thing happened today! I thought my dogs got stolen!!! I was in my room reading my Fruits Basket manga (which was really great!) and I realized they'd been in the backyard for a while so I went to get them...and they were gone! I thought the gate was shut too which meant they hadn't just snuck out, Artax is waaaay too big to fit out anywhere but there. I freaked out and ran back through the house to the front yard to look for them and when I walked around the side I realized the gate was open after all. I was a little less worried then but I was sooo scared they had been hit by a car or something! I called Chris and started spewing cuss words everywhere (because that's just how I react when I freak out) and he said he would come help look for them. Then I walked up and down the street calling them and looking pretty idiotic to my neighbors, not like I care. Finally when I decided to go back and get my car to look faster Artax came running around from the other side of the house all excited to see me. I shoved him in the front door and went back for Hikari who had just showed up looking like a black lab instead of a yellow one. He was practically blue there was so much mud and grime on him. He must have gotten into the ditch behind the house, Artax is too tall for it to be any deeper than his ankles, but Hikari looked like he had been rolling in it. Well, after that I had to give him two baths, one in the hose so I could bring him inside without ruining the carpet, and one in the tub to really get him clean. I was so glad my little Hikari-kun wasn't dead I wasn't even mad at them for breaking out. I was so scared! *sniff* But, everything is ok now so that's what's important.

After my little ordeal I talked to Nichole on the phone for a while about her wedding plans and some other stuff and she told me the funniest thing. I forget what brought it up but we were talking about that saying "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" and she said, "well they say the grass is always greener but you can paint your grass any shade of green you want!" I laughed so hard! Then I called my brother and he laughed really hard too! Think about it though, it's a good idea in more than one respect...

I got to finish Fruits Basket vol. 3 and I really liked Haru (the ox in the zodiac) but I'm starting to like Shigure more than Kyo (my original favorite character) hee hee, but I also love Momiji and Hatori too! I can't decide!

Ahhh....Shigure-san....

Now I have some clarity to show you what I mean...

"Breaking the Habit" by Linkin Park, much props to YamiYasha4ever for turning me on to this song. I just might make a Heero video to it later...it's perfect!

and now...here's one for you michiko and chie!

Hee hee, well I went rollerblading today, the new blacktop on our main road is about the only good part of our neighborhood though. The rest of it desperately needs resurfacing and I nearly fell twice on piles of loose gravel. I finished the last volume of Kodocha today too and in one of the chat sections Obana-san said "Mark this day on your calendar and every year spend it reading your Kodocha books!" so, I did! June 5, 2005 is a long way off though...

The 3rd volume of Fruits Basket came in today too! I have only read about a page of it though. It says that Kyo-kun doesn't wear ties b/c he's a cat that doesn't like collars! I thought that was funny. Well, I still haven't watched any of the Toonami shows from this week or last except Inuyasha. I was recording that when Bethy called to talk about bachelorette party plans for Nichole. Well, I couldn't really care less what we do myself, I guess I'm supposed to but I'll just go with the flow really.

Here's another funny little quote from "That 70's Show"
Hyde: You kicked her ass man!
Jackie: Yeah, but I guess it wasn't very 'zen' of me...
Hyde: Where zen ends, ass kicking begins, and that is your final lesson grasshopper.

Oh, I did get to watch Megas XLR tonight. I know practically nobody watches it but I still think it's hillarious. Tonight they saved the world by ~accidentally~ flooding Jersey City with a tidal wave that was caused by throwing a pile of monsters into the Atlantic Ocean!

Coop, gotta love him!

I'm longing to be lost in you...

"Away From Me" by Evanescence, this song really, really fits me well...

So I noticed yesterday that when I posted at midnight, or really early in the morning I got a ton of comments so I'm gonna try that again today! I just killed a spider that had been living in my computer room for about a week now. I kinda feel bad about it, I was getting attached to him. But, he left his spot in the crack where the wall meets the ceiling and came down too close to me so.... smack! he had to go.

Well, if you want to laugh, scroll down because I finished the sleepover-scare story last night. Also Sessho-chan wrote another part after that so go to her site and check it out! I don't know who's gonna be writing next though, guess it should be me... we'll have to wait and see. I have to apologize now to anybody that was reading my other story, the serious/love story about Usagi. I've decided I'm not going to write any more of it, for now anyway. I wrote myself into a corner and now I'm stuck there. To be honest I never intended for it to be an ongoing thing, I wrote the first part because, well, most of it actually happened to me and a lot of people wanted me to write more so I made up the rest. It was really an enjoyable story to write, but I'm stuck on it so I just wanted to let you know. If I ever get back to it I will post all the parts in order so that people can read it and remember it if they want to.

Now, here is real ghost story that Marina and her boyfriend told me on Sunday night. Apparantly somewhere on the south side of town there are haunted railroad tracks. *Warning!* This is pretty sad. The story goes that a school bus full of kids got stuck on those railroad tracks and was hit. All the streets in that area of town are now named after the kids who died. They say that if you park your car on top of the tracks and put it in neutral the kids ghosts will push you over the tracks to safety. Supposedly you can prove it by putting baby powder on your back bumper to see their fingerprints...

Well, I've decided that instead of whining at all my friends that I'm jealous about them going to the Harry Potter movie I'm going to go myself! Harold gave me a gift certificate to the movie theater for my birthday and I bet there's a day show that not so many people will be at. Ok, who am I kidding? It will probably still be packed but I should be able to get a ticket, right?

A rather lengthy survey...

hah
What comes to mind when you hear...
Panda?:giant

Cucumber?:bob
Lavendar?:'s blue dilly dally

Do you ever see in your dreams...

"Castles in the Sky" - can't say who this one's by for sure, it's techno and I've seen about 3 different artist labels on the versions I've downloaded.

Well, I'm up to disc 8, be proud! Not much to talk about since I haven't done a thing this weekend. It's a good thing. I was torn last night though b/c I couldn't decide if I should keep watching Gundam Wing or take a break and watch the Toonami/Adult Swim shows. Well, they're recorded for later anyway.

After I finish all that I have big plans to clean the house again. Yippee. I also need to start making a definite plan for the summer and when I'm going where since only a few things are actually scheduled. I just don't feel like thinking about anything right now.

   I won't look down, won't say I'm sorry...

"The Young and the Hopeless" by Good Charlotte

YAY! I finally made the top 500!! I'm so proud!

So, now I have a bunch of things to say b/c I haven't been posting properly lately. So sorry! I am a bad friend for not visiting sites, I know! *looks guilty* For anybody who was confused this morning I was having a Gundam Wing marathon at midnight last night. Still am actually, but the DVD player is skipping so I'm letting it rest for a while. It's old, what can I say...

It's Saturday now and I'm happy! I can sleep in without feeling guilty because noone else gets to. Also, that means it's May 29th and I am officially no longer under contract and can explain why I have been making weird references to my not being at school for the past few weeks. (Teachers are supposed to go to school, right?) Well, prepare to be outraged. Two and a half weeks ago I was put on 'administrative leave with pay' for letting my 5th graders read manga. My manga to be exact, I didn't write it sillies, I brought it in. About a month ago we had our god-awful state standardized tests and all the kids could do after they finished was read or sleep. Well, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that no kid wants to read a book after taking a 3 hour test on reading! So, anyway, I brought in a bunch of my comics, Japanese and American, and kept them busy that way. Sounds good right? Wrong! So, anyway, one girl took one home without my knowing it and her parents got ahold of it and called the principal. Several friends of mine believe that said principal already had it out for me to begin with so this was not a promising turn of events.

Anyway, I'm making this explanation longer than it needs to be.... the book in question was one 'Love Hina' rated ages 16 and up, because my stupid ass didn't check and just brought in everything I had. So here's the part where I say it was my fault. I should have been more responsible, I shouldn't have let her read it, but in my own defense it was an honesst mistake. A stupid one, yes, but a mistake none the less. So back to the story, I was sent home at 8:30 on a Friday morning, causing all the kids to freak out and think I was fired. The following Tuesday I was called in to the district office and told I had to resign or I'd be fired b/c that's what the principal recommended. So, obviously you can guess what I picked. Nobody wants it on their record that they were fired. So, now I'm looking for a new job in other school districts, thankfully San Antonio has about 30 of them so it shouldn't be a problem. That ambiguous 'thing' I went to last Saturday was a job fair for one of them.

So....why am a wasting a huge amount of space talking about this? I don't know, it's cathartic? Some of you will be angry for me, some will be angry with me, it's to be expected. But, on to bigger and better things! There's new episodes coming on tonight, yaya!

I got to go swimming yesterday with my friends at their appartment. Some kids had left a couple of super-soakers out and Bubba and I got in a big water fight. It was so fun! Then we all played volleyball and dodgeball. We're supposed to go tubing at the lake on Monday since everybody with normal jobs is off too, not just schools. Yesterday was also my dad's birthday. Happy Birthday Daddy! (not like he's gonna see this...) I got him the DVD of "Oh Brother Where Art Thou?" such a great movie!

Ok, now there's something I've been meaning to mention for a while, and since this post is already horrendously long I might as well go ahead and do it now. I've lived in a lot of different states, all somewhat southern ones, but the things people say in different places entertain me to no end. For example, when I'm going to exit a car I say, "I'm getting out," guess that's what they say in Florida since that's where I grew up. When I was living in Louisiana though a friend was taking me to a party and she said, "Are you gonna get down?" which totally freaked me out b/c I was going there to meet a guy, when what she really meant was "get out so I can." Heh, I was in shock. And now, living in Texas, I've found that people say "get off" instead of those other things, which also freaked me out immensely the first time I heard it. You can imagine why... "Get off for a minute..." What? *sigh* It's interesting though...so now I'm going to be a good friend and visit EVERYONE'S sites I promise! To the people I usually chat with, I'm sorry in advance for being glued to the TV drooling over Gundam boys instead of talking to you.
