I know I shouldn't stay too long, 'cause everything it will go wrong...

"Tender Lies" by Freezepop
Today's picture theme is Yami no Matsui, requested by animegirl-11.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Hi again! Can you believe it? Two posts in two days? I'm trying hard here people, really! Hehe, ok all sarcasm aside, I really am trying to spend more time here this month. I visited quite a few people today in fact! Go me! Hehe, anyway, so if you hadn't seen it yet, how do you like my new theme? I actually didn't like it all that much myself at first but it's grown on me and now I do.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

So, anyway, today was a nice relaxing Sunday. I haven't had one of those in a loooong time since I've been working so much and kept getting sick. I feel like tomorrow I'll finally be able to say "I'm all better!" though so that is a good thing. I got to sleep in today and then my mom and step-dad came over to bring me a bookcase they're not using. I need it since I seem to keep filling up all the ones I've got! Then I cleaned my apartment a bit and read some comics that my brother lent me. I downloaded the last episode of GSD but for some reason I couldn't bring myself to watch it. Actually, I have the last three to watch but....I don't know....it gives me a weird feeling to end something and I'm not sure I'm ready to do that yet.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Anyway, enough about me, how are you all? Anything new and exciting going on since I haven't been visiting much? OK, that was lame.....here's a real question for you...um...oh, ok! What anime character do you wish you were more like and what do you admire about him or her? I'll tell you my answer tomorrow!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I've once again depleted my list of requests so if you have a theme you'd like to see let me know. Please try to request stuff that I haven't done yet though, ok? Tomorrow's theme was suggested by
CoLoR Me EviL. Have a great Monday everyone! *hugs*

Coz you will hate yourself in the end...

"Wind" by Akeboshi - Naruto first closing theme

Hey everyone, this is just a quick note to say I probably won't be here the rest of this week b/c I'm sick and I've been taking NyQuil and going to sleep really early. I'll post Sw33tZ's theme when I get back. Thanks to Zoe for making me this!

In your shining eyes someone's scream is reflected...

...from the Bleach opening theme.
Today's picture theme is Haibane Renmei, requested by Darke-nii.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I really like this anime, I wish I had more than just the first DVD. So, sorry for not coming by yesterday everyone. It was a kind of hectic day. First, at 9am I had to go take those state childcare tests. They were pretty easy...or maybe I got everything wrong, I can't be sure. Either way I got through them really fast so that was good. After that I had to go to the bank and then to my dad's to wash laundry and give Hikari a bath. He almost ran away at one point but I wasn't that worried. He doesn't really want to run away, just look around at stuff since he doesn't get to spend as much time outside as as dog should.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I finally got home from all of that at around 3:30 and decided to take a nap. Then I woke up at around 8 and had dinner, took a shower and then got together with my brother so we could go over to
Selena and AJ's. There were a bunch of people over there and everyone went swimming (except for me) and....I can't remember what else, but apparantly it was a good time since I didn't leave till 4:30am. I only slept till 11:30 this morning though b/c my head was killing me and my sinuses are all messed up now. That's what the 'sick icon' is for tonight unfortunately. I should have realized when I was sneezing so much that I was starting to get sick. Hopefully it won't last more than a day or two.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I spent most of today just laying around watching anime and stuff. I got through all of the Adult Swim shows (ok, actually I only record 3 of them) and about 10 episodes of Bleach. I'm kinda behind the newest episodes with that but I'm at a really good part right now. I also read Please Save My Earth vol. 4 and Bleach vol. 8 this afternoon and my brother came over for a while again. It was a nice relaxing Sunday. I probably could have done some apartment cleaning, but....nah.....maybe tomorrow after school.

I can't fly but I'll give you my wings...

I dunno the name of this one, it's the brand new (and final) opening for Gundam Seed Destiny...
Today's picture theme is Teen Titans, requested by Yami-chan.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Since I've done this theme a few times before I figured I'd do it a little differently this time around. That first pic is one of the comic book incarnations of the group. So...it's tomorrow! My first day as a Pre-K teacher. Here's hoping it turns out better than being a 5th grade teacher did. I had a lot on my hands today too though. Akemi-san has a bunch of meetings at the university this week (she's also a professor besides being a professional photographer) so I had to babysit the boys starting at 8am. We went to the Butterfly Rainforest at the Natural History Museum again since they have an anual pass. I love that place, it's so pretty! We have this theory that the butterflies are escaping (even though we've never seen one do it) b/c there seem to be a lot of abnormally colorful ones around town this summer. That would be so cool if Gainesville became populated with all kinds of Asian and South American butterflies!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This one looks like a live action movie or something...so anyway, Akemi-san called me at noon b/c she was sick of being in boring meetings and needed to go home and sleep (she has weird sleeping patterns so she'd been up since midnight). We picked her up and went to Cold Stone for ice cream. That was nice, especially since we didn't have any breakfast or lunch. Then we went back to the house and I had to help Bakura-chan with his summer homework. He had 2 huge math packets and he left them all till the last day! Typical....heh, not like I wouldn'tve done the same....we couldn't get through all of it though b/c it was just too much for a six year old kid to think about at once. Hopefully Oberi helped him finish it tonight. I had to go at 4 to take care of my animals so I fed them some mac'n'cheese (again) and got out of there.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

A group of Titans cosplayers! I was really tired after all that babysitting so I decided to take a nap, and that was pretty much my day. I didn't get to visit very many people today b/c of that. I read the first issue of Takuhai (Tokyopop's preview magazine - it's free) and it was ok....there was an interview with Ai Yazawa so that was cool, but some of it was kinda dumb. Oh well, it's free, right? Then....this is so great! I finally got to watch some GSD!!! Yaya! I can't believe I've gone nearly 6 weeks without watching it. I've just been so busy that I never could get around to it and it was upsetting me a lot. Anyway, I only watched one episode but I might watch another before I go to sleep, we'll see....otherwise, I get off pretty early tomorrow (3:30) so I can watch more then. It's getting close to the end now so things are really exciting!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

And of course, our beloved TV Titans. Tomorrow's theme was suggested by
Darke-nii. I hope he's around to see it. Have a great Wednesday everyone! *hugs*

If you wanted honesty that's all you had to say...

"I'm Not OK (I Promise)" by My Chemical Romance
Today's picture theme is from X, requested by AJ-kun.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

It's our favorite characters, Satsuki Yatoji and Yuto Kigai. Ugh...I almost didn't update tonight. I had such a headache when I came home this evening. It was a caffiene issue I believe. That's why I'm using the 'sick icon'. It still hurts a bit, but it's mostly better now that I've eaten and drank a Mt. Dew. Wow....that's not so good is it? Well, that was the last one in the fridge so no more caffiene for me I guess. I actually got to visit a few people's sites this afternoon while I was babysitting Bakura-chan. Oberi went home with a friend so we came over here to play with Hikari and eat mac'n'cheese.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

We had a bunch of meetings this morning and then open house tonight from 4:30-6:30 so I was pretty much working all day. Yep, things are starting up and I just know it's going to get crazy on Wednesday. Tomorrow is like, 'the calm before the storm' so to speak. Hehe, ok I think I'm over-analyzing this just a bit. It's just school after all! I'm excited though. Our room looks really good and things went really well tonight. Anyway, I'll stop rambling about that. I watched my Kodocha DVD that I got at the convention tonight and ahhh! I love it! I mean, I knew I would since it's one of my favorite mangas, but it's really, really funny. Sana is completely off-the-wall-over-the-top-insane! It's a Funimation dub so it has a lot of the same voice actors as Fruits Basket which is kind of funny at times b/c listening to Sana and Akito I think of Tohru and Kyo!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Well, thank you all who commented for your concern about my phone. I found it lying dead in the back of my car. Hehe, it sounds like a squirrel or something that way...but anyway it's all fine now. One annoying thing about only having a cell phone is that I can't just call it from my house phone when I lose it. Oh well...it's worth the money I save I suppose. Also, thanks for answering the superhero question. I don't normally do questions, but every now and then I feel like it. Anyway, now I suppose I should go to sleep. I've got a full day of babysitting tomorrow and then it's school, school school! I'll be working 40 hours a week plus taking care of the kids 2-3 evenings so I'm sure I'll start being tired all the time now.

What did it really mean to you?

"Freckles" Ruroni Kenshin Opening Theme
Today's picture theme is Fushigi Yugi, requested by Kotaru.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Well...it looks like my earlier assumption was right. No one reads posts that you make at 11pm! So here I am at midnight again, when I should be sleeping b/c we have a meeting at school tomorrow morning. Oh well, no big deal, right? It's not till 9 anyway. I still haven't rearranged my toys like I said I was going to b/c I stayed up way too late last night building my Gundam Deathscythe model. I got it at Toy Consortium (this really great store that closed down) a long time ago, but I was afraid I wouldn't be any good at putting it together since I've never done one before and the instructions were all in Japanese. It turned out to be really easy though. It was kinda stressful at some parts, but still fun.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I think I worked on that model till 3am last night and only got the arms and legs done! I slept really late today and went over to take care of the chickens at around 2. I had to do a bit of cleaning over there too since Akemi-san and the boys are coming back tomorrow. Ah, I'm so glad about that! After that I came home and showered and tried to make some headway on my PMs but I just keep getting more! Stop sending me messages people! I'm just kidding, I love to get them, and anyway the people who are sending them haven't been visiting me so they probably didn't read that. Then I went over to my mom's to get some books from her and have dinner. I put the chickens away, talked on the phone to my brother and then finished my model at last! Wow, when I write it out it seems like I barely did anything today but it felt like it took a really long time. Huh....

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Ok, so I've been promising to tell you all about what I bought at the convention for days now so here it is! I got a the Kodocha starter box with the first DVD and a really cute purse, a big satchel/bag with lots of pockets with the Naruto Leaf Village symbol on it, a Sound Village headband (which I've been wearing everywhere I think I can get away wit it...) an Asuka (Evangelion) gashapon figure, a Windy Card (CCS) gashapon, 7 Gundam Seed Destiny gashapon figures (Kira, Lacus, Rey, Stellar, Shinn, Athrun, and Cagalli), a set of 6 GSD trading figures that have double stands (Kira and Lacus, Shinn and Stellar, and Dearka and Yzak), a deck of Wolf's Rain cards, the soundtracks ot Wolf's Rain and Gravitation, wall scrolls of X and Wolf's Rain, posters from Anglic Layer (spelled Laier b/c it's a Taiwanese poster!), Tsubasa, Gundam Wing and Gundam Seed, autographs of Lex Lang (Lantis from Magic Knight Rayearth), Sandy Fox (Sumomo from Chobits), and Chris Sabat (Vegeta), and a ton of Pocky!! Oh, I also got some Godzilla gashapon for Oberi and Bakura and something cool for
Sessho-chan and her sister that I'm not going to say here in case she reads this, and AJ-kun got me a Satsuki pin.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

That last one is from Watase-sensei's new series FY: Genbu Kaiden, which is actually a prequel story. It's so cool! Tomorrow's theme was suggested by
SunfallE. Have a great Thursday everyone! *hugs*

Good news is on the way...

"Float On" by Modest Mouse
Today's picture theme is from Dragonball Z and requested by Tepocoora...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

...it's my favorite, Gohan! This is probably going to be a really long post so I've got pictures of him at many different ages.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

So......here I am, back from the convention! Did you miss me? I'm thinking no since only 4 people commented on my last post, but that's cool. I'm going to try to get back to doing more stuff here this week. I was just so busy getting ready last week that I really couldn't. Anyway, it was soooo much fun! Working as a volunteer is really cool b/c you get a lot of extra stuff that regular attendees don't like a special shirt and badge, discounts in the dealer's room, and all the important people will talk to you a lot more readily. Unfortunately a lot of the people who are supposed to be volunteers either don't show up or just don't do their jobs well so the 10 of us who were left had to do a whole hell of a lot to help the staff out. It was ok though, I think I would have gotten bored if I didn't have things to do. I ended up not taking a whole lot of pictures though since I was working most of the time, but I think I know where I can find some.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

OK, so let me give you a rundown of the weekend. Friday morning we had a meeting at 9:30 so I left Gainesville really early. After the meeting I checked into the hotel and put my stuff away. Then I had to work from noon-3 at the information table. This probably wasn't the best thing for me to do first since I didn't really have any information so I had to keep asking other people to answer the questions I got, but I got it figured out pretty quickly. I had a couple hours off after that which was when I did most of my shopping. Then I had to work 5-8 in the dealers's room. That was a boring job, let me tell you. Walk in circles, look for people stealing, talk to a dealer or guest, walk in circles some more......three hours of that felt like about three years. The room actually closed at 7 but from 7-8 we had to help the dealers cover merchandise and make sure no one tried to get back in the room. I ended up waiting till almost 9 for someone to come lock the door after everyone was out which was kind of a pain, but I had a lot of stuff I'd bought with me so I could look through it. I finally got to get some dinner after that and then I went to a couple of panels (in my Hello Kitty pjs!). At midnight the volunteer coordinator came and asked me if I could sit up all night and guard some equipment in a room that wasn't supposed to be locked so I said sure since staying up is really no big deal for me. The panel ended at 2am and then I went over to the room till about 4 when the convention organizer showed up with the key and decided to lock it after all.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Saturday I slept in till 11:30ish and then kind of hung around in my room doing stuff till 3 when I went back to work guarding the door to the dealers' room (you have to keep out people who don't have badges or armbands) till about 8 again. After that I had dinner and then went to work in the game room, keeping people with drinks out. That was a pretty cool job, probably my favorite one actually if it weren't for the smelly gamers in there. The staff guy that was in charge of the room was really cool and all I had to do was sit at a table and watch people coming in. We got bored after a while and pulled some paper off the chart that listed the tournaments they were holding and started drawing on it. Then all these random people started coming along and asking if they could draw on it too so by the end of the night we had three full pages of giant paper covered in little drawings that we hung on the wall. We did have a little excitement during that time, we almost set the convention center on fire! Well, ok, not really....but the smoke machine that the Wasabi Anime guys had running at the rave party in the room next door set off the fire alarm and we had to evacuate the whole place for an hour! It was actually kind of cool for us although I doubt it would have been very fun for the regular people there. After we finally got back in I had to stay in the game room till 1am so I missed most of the party but I still went and danced for the last hour so it was pretty cool. They were showing old 80's movie and anime clips on the screen the whole time and playing remixes of old songs.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Sunday
AJ-kun came to the convention with his aunt. He came to my hotel room and did my hair and makeup and I put on my Yukari costume (he was dressed as Kyo from Furuba) and we walked around for a while. I had to go to the prejudging for the costume contest at noon and then the contest itself was at 2:30 so I didn't work much that day. I was really nervous about the contest, but it was a lot of fun. I didn't win any awards or anything, but it was still a great experience. Also, I was pretty confident that my costume was better than a lot of other people's even if it wasn't the best so that made me happy. Unfortunately, AJ told me he was going to video tape me on stage but then he decided to go to Sandy Fox's panel instead so there are no pictures of me in that outfit in my posession. However, several official looking photographers took my picture at different points during the day so hopefully there will be one in some sort of publication or website in the future. Maybe I'll wear it again if we go to Megacon in February or J-Con in April. We'll see....anyway, after the contest I went back to work in the dealers' room again and helped them close up and everything and then at around 6pm I finally came home. I was sooooo tired. Actually, I'm still really tired which is why I'm making this post in the evening and not at midnight.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Tomorrow I'll write about what I'm doing this week and all the cool stuff I bought at the convention! Tomorrow's theme was requested by
Ruri-chan. Don't hold out for the convention pics anytime soon b/c I don't have any money to develop them! *hugs* Have a great week everyone!

I used to think maybe you loved me...

"Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves...because like it says in the song place....I'm just that dorky. This was one of my favorite songs growing up. Go ahead, listen to it, you know you want to. Anyway, how do you like my new theme? I think it's pretty cute this time! That was part of my problem last month maybe....I love Lain, but I think looking at that background was depressing me. I made the banner myself again, not the pic, sadly I can't take credit for that. I just found it somewhere and wrote on it, but that counts right? The background is from a CLAMP telephone card, it's Chi from Chobits and Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura. So cute!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Of course nothing on my site matches each other. I take pride in not matching thank you very much! The avatar is Sumire from Kimi wa Pet (sorry, but I refuse to call such a good manga by it's mistranslated English name, but bonus points if you know what it is....) I'm getting my hair cut like hers after the convention. Also, I'm not keeping it black. It looks good, but it's just not my color, I'll go back to red or brown.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I'm not entirely sure it was Rei who gave the quote from Mars under the avatar. It might have just been one of those random thought bubbles but I couldn't tell. Anyway it sounds like something he would say. I really like that manga, it's about an artist girl (Kira) and a biker guy (Rei).

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Well, thanks for all your concern, the a/c has been replaced and it is cooold in here now! It feels great! This is kind of a short post, but I don't have a lot to say, it's my week off so I'm not doing much. I did catch up on all but one of my PMs today (sorry darke-onichan, but I have to watch GSD before I can tell you about it...) so hopefully tomorrow I can start visiting some sites. I'm just going to do what I can. *nods* Tomorrow I'll get back to the requests starting with Yami-chan, but I'm not going to be doing them much longer. If you have something you really want to see that I've never posted before speak now, otherwise I'm just going to run out what I have on my list and then go to a random picture of the day kind of thing. Have a great Tuesday everyone! *hugs*

Some days are diamonds, some days are rocks...

"Walls" by Tom Petty
Some recent obsession pictures....

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

...Gundam Seed Destiny....duh! So it occurred to me that I haven't made a single post in July and that just kind of seemed wrong. I'm probably going to change my theme in August and I feel like I haven't given this one a fair chance to be seen by anyone. Maybe I'll leave it up another month, or maybe just the avatar, that's the part I really like. Anyway.....here I am....alive and well as usual...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

...Sports Night...a little known, short lived comedy that really kicks ass. So, now I guess I should say I'm sorry. I totally abandoned you guys and it was a shitty thing to do. It's not like I was going through any personal problems or anything, I just felt like having a lazy summer. Today was the last day of summer camp at the preschool and I've got about a week and a half off before I start being a Pre-K teacher for real. It's gonna be so much fun! Before that though I'm going to Anime Festival Orlando!!! Yaya!! I can't wait! Right this minute I'm letting the black dye set in my hair b/c I'm entering the costume contest as Yukari from Paradise Kiss. I'm going to be a volunteer so I get to get in free. I met some cool people at the volunteer meeting a couple weeks ago and AJ-kun will be going too for one of the days...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

...Harry Potter! I finished the 6th book in 2 days! Anyone who has read it, I really really need to talk to someone about it b/c my family is being slow about reading and I can't talk to them. OK, so yes, I am back, hopefully for good. I will be normal and smiley again from now on. I love you all, but I need to say a few things to a few people in particular. I could just PM them (oh, I'll answer my PM's tomorrow probably, ok?) but there's something to be said for expressing your emotions in front of everyone, so...
Chie-chan: Thank you, thank you for the big box of stuff (and you too Trowa-kun!) *hugs* You are my oldest friend here and you always understand how I feel. I'm sorry for worrying you.
Shawn-san: I'm sorry for being generally weird lately and worrying you too *hugs*
Sessho-chan: My dear Sessho-chan, *hugs tight* I'm sorry for acting like I have been and freaking you out. I love you, and I'll get you something great at the convention I promise (but don't tell Jacob-kun, his present is just coming from amazon.com, oh and you're still getting that other one I told you about as soon as I get paid again)
Uzali-imouto: (and tell Taley-imouto too) I'm sorry for disappearing, I know the last thing you need with all the stress in your lives it to worry what happened to onee-san and I'll make it up to you, I promise *hugs*
Darke-nii: Waaah! You're in New York and I'm not going to get to go there after all! I so wanted to see you! *hugs* Well, I'm sure you're having a good time and don't worry I've got more GSD news for you soon!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

...Howl's Moving Castle....oh my god this movie is freaking amazing! Well, I guess that's about it. I have to go wash the dye out of my hair now before it burns my scalp, but I'll be back again soon! *hugs* Have a great weekend everyone!
