For all we could have done...

"The Great Below" by Nine Inch Nails...that cd is still lost, it was the double one...
Today's picture theme is Fruits Basket, requested by Taley-imouto.

I'm sorry everyone! *bows* I can't believe I went the whole weekend without coming here! It was just such a weird and, in some ways, busy weekend that I never got myself onto the computer. I really shouldn't have done that either b/c very soon I'll have to be gone for nearly a whole week! Waahh! I will miss you guys so much! Akemi and Mokuba are leaving for Israel on Wednesday afternoon and coming back the following Monday morning I think. They weren't sure if it was Sunday night or Monday morning. So...I'll be a chicken farmer for a week I guess...that's ok, they have a really nice house and whenever I stay out there I have lots of time to read and draw while the kids are sleeping. I will have to be away from my animals though and that kinda sucks. My brother will take care of Hikari at his place, but the cats will just have to stay home alone. Of course I'll probably come to the apartment sometime everyday, but it's not the same.

Ah....my favorite Furuba characters! They're just all so hot! It's rare that there are good looking and important characters in manga that are this close to my own age so I really love these three, especially Shigure since he's a writer! I was kinda in the mood to write something tonight actually, but I don't really have the time. I just got back from having my brother's birthday dinner at my mom's. It was yummy! We had macaroni and cheese (the homemade kind) zuccini, and brownies! Last night my brother had a party at his apartment which was really fun, but also kind of weird for me since I'm older and not really friends with his friends.

So, let's see...that was today and yesterday...oh, Friday! I went to
AJ and Selena's as usual. We ate Pocky and watched Lain. I was so glad to watch it over again! It is definitely one of my favorite animes! I've also been rereading Marmalade Boy this weekend. That's one reason I was such a bum and never came here (sorry!). It's a really cute manga, and only 8 volumes. I think that's a good length, 8-10 anyway. Some of my favorite mangas are too short like Paradise Kiss (5 volumes) and The Demon Ororon (only 4 volumes), but not everything should be really long either. I like that Sailor Moon is super long, and X is that way too, but I wouldn't want everything to be that way. Anyway, MB is really cute and funny. I had forgotten, but it says in the first volume that it was the first manga that Tokyopop published in right to left format in the US. That's pretty cool!

Oh, I almost forgot! I have a new fanart! It's the
Cardcaptor Sakura one I was talking about before so I'd appreciate it if you check it out! Tomorrow's theme is my choice, just some stuff I scanned this weekend, requests will be back the next day! *hugs* Have a great week everyone!

Help me through the hopeless haze...

"Change Your Mind" by The Killers
Today's picture theme is Kaleidostar, requested by Yami-chan.

I've spent this whole day in a daze...quite honestly, I'm not even sure how or why I'm even awake now at 11:30PM. I kept thinking I was going to take a nap but I never did. I woke up late today, really late, which is not normal for me. It used to be, but this year it's not at all and I felt really bad about it, but I couldn't make myself move any faster. I think it might have been partially due to the several nights in a row of NyQuil. That stuff builds up in your system I think...makes you permanently drowsy. Anyway, I spent all day just kind of spacing out, couldn't focus on a thing until my head started pounding at about 4:00 and then that was all I could think about.

Spring is definitely on it's way here in Florida. I know this because of several things. First of all, it was hot as shit today! Just how hot is shit you ask? Well...not that hot actually, but considering it's February and we're not really ready for heat, the high humidity and general stuffiness of today's weather was most unwelcome. I have my freaking airconditioner on right now, ok?!? Sometimes I really hate this state....anyway, the animals are noticing winter's nearly over too. Tao Li tried to run out of the apartment today. This is a bad thing for several reasons: 1.the complex has an 'all pets must be on leashes' policy, which for some reason includes cats..., 2.we live on a really busy road, and 3.Li can't keep a collar on for more than 15 minutes so he's not likely to get brought home if he does run off. Not that he's the type to do so really, he used to go outside all the time when we lived in houses and he always came back by the time I was going to sleep, but still...I don't want to take any chances.

One last sign of spring...we have baby chicks!!! Well, one at least. Oberi-chan and I watched it hatch this afternoon while I was over there helping Akemi-san out with organizing some recipts. That was tedious work. Actually, it wouldn't have been so bad except that she offered me a glass of water, which turned out to be mineral water, you know, the carbonated kind? I hate that stuff. I think it was a major factor in the headache I developed, but I didn't want to be rude and say, 'oh nevermind I don't like it' after she gave it to me. Anyway, the chick was soooo tiny! I can't say it was really cute, but I'm sure it will be by tomorrow once it's dried off. It was pretty slimy and red looking today though. Two of the other eggs were already cracking so they may be hatched by morning. I hope so anyway!

I ended up not finishing my little recipt job since I was feeling so bad, but I'll get back on it tomorrow night while the kids are sleeping. I just came home and did what relaxes me most...watched lots of anime! Hehe! I watched a couple of Inuyashas (from earlier this week) and 4 DNAngels. I have to say that I really don't like Risa. I mean, I feel sorry for her in some ways, but she's just, kinda dumb...Riku is much better. Oh, and I was able to visit everyone again too! Yay for me! But now I must sleep, it's almost the weekend already! Tomorrow's theme was suggested by
Black Mage TBow. Have a great Thursday everyone! *hugs*

Save us from sleep and what we are...

"A Favor House Atlantic" by Coheed and Cambria
Today's picture theme is Ruroni Kenshin, requested by Taley-imouto.

Well, I'm still sick, but feeling much, much better today. I'm almost over the cold completely in fact. Thank you all for your kind words and comments yesterday. *hugs* They really made me feel better. I have been enjoying my three day weekend as much as possible, by watching lots of anime of course! I feel like I had something to talk about, but now I can't remember what it was...hm....I got a new bookshelf today. That's about all I did though...

Oh, I did go pick up some money that Akemi-san owed to me for babysitting last week and she ended up giving me like $50 extra so that was cool! She said the sweetest thing to me too. I forget how it came up but she ended up telling me that I was the coolest babysitter they'd ever had for their kids. That was nice. I hear that from kids all the time, but not parents. Not that they normally don't like me, but I think I'm just average to most of them. That family is kind of...different...to say the least though, so I think we just really 'get' each other well.

Mmm....Aoshi.....They aren't taking the best care of my chick though I have to say. Last Thursday I picked up little Akane and found that the twist-tie around her leg had gotten so tight her foot was swollen! I had to peel it off of her and she was bleeding! It was really gross. I don't mind blood generally (unless it's mine) but since I really don't like birds in the first place it was just really, really creepy and dirty.

Sano, my favorite! Oh yeah! I know the other thing I was excited about.
Ishi-chan put up my profile page on her Ragnarok fanclub site. I made the characters, but she gave me all the items and stuff. It's all so cute! I could totally get addicted to making little characters up like that! Tomorrow's theme was suggested by animegirl-11. (I'm gonna do that thing you asked me about in the morning, ok?) And now, one last thing, I have to say a big THANK YOU to everyone here for being such great friends to me during the last almost-year that I've been here! The top row is all the girls from my CLAMP heroine quiz, and the bottom row...hm...whatever could that be?

This thing is slowly taking me apart...

"You Make This All Go Away" by Nine Inch Nails
Today's picture theme is Vampire Princess Miyu, requested by Yami-chan.

Gah! I'm sorry everyone (especially you, Yami-chan, it always seems I skip days when it's time for one of your themes!) I am soooo sick (hence the icon) and I hate it!!! On a lighter note, I found my NIN cd (see the title?) which I was beginning to think Chris stole. I'm really glad b/c I can't live without that cd, too many memories are attached to it.

So obviously, I didn't post last night b/c I was sick. This cold has really got me down right now, but at least we have off Monday so I can rest up some. I don't have to babysit anyone at all for the next 3 days! It's a miracle!! All I have to do this weekend is dog training tomorrow at 11. I might go over to
AJ-kun's tomorrow night if I'm feeling better. We'll see....I think he's sick too.

Yesterday was really fun even though I was sick, it just wore me out. Oberi and Bakura and I went rollerblading and petted the horses again. Along the way we played Teen Titans! Oberi got to be Beast Boy (they both like him best, but O-chan is older so...) and Bakura-chan decided to be Robin. I was Starfire of course! Hehe, we had so much fun beating up telephone poles and bushes and things (imaginary bad guys!) They made me fight Blackfire by myself though, which I did with some very convincing shouts of, 'Sister! What you are doing is wrong!' and things like that. Hehe....go ahead and laugh, you know you want to.

I didn't think I would be awake tonight to post at all, but I slept from 5-8:30 and then woke up to take Hikari out and talk to my brother on the phone for a while. Then I watched Monsters, Inc. and ate some broccoli-chese soup (the only soup I like) and before I knew it it was 11pm! Hehe time flies when you're having fun....or, at least when you're doped up on cold medicine anyway! Hm...anything else exciting? I can't think of anything really. I guess I shouldn't make this long anyway since I have been such a bad friend lately. I'm sorry everyone *bows* I do appreciate you all a lot! I'd hug you but, yeah....I don't want to make you sick!

So...now I'm off to sleep again and hopefully after Hikari and I have training in the morning I'll be feeling well enough to stay awake and come by here. Tomorrow's theme was suggested by
Taley-imouto.

   I can't decide which side I'm on...

"Jane" by Barenaked Ladies
Today's picture theme is a special non-anime request by Alex-oto, it's 24!

Well, the 'sick icon' is officially back up. I think whatever Bakura-chan has had for the past 3 weeks has finally broken down my defenses since I haven't been getting as much sleep lately. My head hurts, but it's not a painful kind of headache really, just an achy kind, you know? I woke up today with a sore throat and it's not going away...bleh...and my nose is starting to feel stuffy. I keep taking all these vitamins and things that my mom gave me, but I don't know if I'll be able to hold off the disease much longer.

Please note that I know absolutely nothing about this show so if I left someone important out of the pictures I'm sorry! *bows* I ended up staying at the preschool later than normal today so I didn't get to go grocery shopping like I'd planned. Waaahhh! Now there is no food here! I'm hungry! I went to my dad's to do laundry tonight after babysitting actually and his fridge is always good to raid. He has the kinds of things that are really good but I'd never buy for myself, like oatmeal cookies and strawberry frozen yogurt. Yum! He and my brother were out at the UF basketball game though so I didn't see him, just played with Harry, his cat. He used to be my cat a long time ago and I think he gets lonely now that Jill (the dog) is gone and my dad works so much and goes places at night.

I did have a fun time babysitting Naota and Masaki. Masa-chan spent the whole night showing me his FFTactics for GBA and asking me about every story in my Shonen Jump so that was cool. Nao-chan played Sim Theme Park all night and we barely even saw him. He really had a hard time going to bed though. He insisted that I read him a story even though his mom never does that (he's ten!) and kept coming out of his room after he was supposed to be asleep! I did get to do some commenting today though since I was over there. Yay for that! It was a much longer Wednesday than normal, but not too terrible. I just have this feeling that tomorrow I'm gonna feel awful and babysitting Oberi and Bakura till 11pm is gonna be hell.

Wow, I'm complaining a lot tonight, I just realized. I'm sorry. I'll stop, it's not that bad really, I just have nothing else to talk about apparantly so I guess that means I should get to bed, huh? Thank you all for the comments and PMs yesterday, they really cheer me up throughout the day when I sneak on here for a few minutes. Just a reminder if you have a request, I'd prefer anime/manga/video games etc., but if you have something else that you really really love PM me about it. Tomorrow's theme was suggested by
Yami-chan.

   Nothing lasts forever...

"Perfect" by Simple Plan....nothing, including my site layout!
Today's picture theme is from Sailor Moon, and was requested by Broken Kokoro, aka Sara-chan who also made my new avi. Isn't it so cute?

Anyway, the theme is Hotaru Tomoe and all her forms.

So, how do you like my new theme everyone? I guess I shouldn't say 'theme', but layout. I don't ever have a particular theme that sticks to just one thing. I was debating doing a Valentine's Day one, but I just went with pinkish stuff for the beginning of Spring instead. The background is from X and the avatar, or course, from Sailor Moon. If you're one of the first to see it it may not be quite done yet. I'm having some...issues...

The main thing that's wrong is that I wanted a table with a scrolling bar for all my buttons and clubs and stuff, but
Ishi-chan is helping me reslove that problem now so hopefully you'll see it soon! Thanks Ishi-chan! *hugs* The other thing I'm kinda more pissed off about than that is my music. It's currently Gone by Ben Folds Five, great song, be sure to listen to it. I'll explain it's significance tomorrow. But the thing is, I had my heart set on using one of the songs from the demo cd my mom's band made. I had it uploaded to my hosting page and everything, but it seems that our server here does not accomodate .wma files, only midi and mp3 so until I can find a way to convert it to one of those I'll be using the other one. If anyone has any ideas on that please let me know.

This paragraph is for
Taley-imouto but feel free to read anyway and listen to the song here: Kate, also by Ben Folds Five. The problem I had with my mom's song is one that you will run into if your bro rips one of those Switchfoot songs onto the computer for you Taley-chan, so if you decide you want one of those instead just PM me with the title and I'll try to download it from somewhere, 'K?

IMPORTANT: My email is also having some issues this week. It happens from time to time since it's just a private server owned by my friend Luke. I'm sure he'll work it out sooner or later but for now it seems to be deleting things that I didn't tell it to and saving things that I try to delete. Anyway, if you send me an email, I might not get it. Yami-chan, you might want to try sending the one you were talking about again b/c I think that's what happened.

So of course, today was a lazy kind of day. I watched most of the shows from Friday and Saturday nights. Dragonball GT made me really sad, but Gundam Seed made me happy! I took a nap, worked on my site, and took out the trash. I can't say I really did any cleaning, but it's a start anyway.

So.....it's going to be February soon. I hope everyone has a great start to the month and the week and all that good stuff! Tomorrow's theme was suggested by
Yami-chan! Look Sara-chan, it's "you" and "me"!

No one else can see my true identity...

"Mr. Roboto" by STYX...the kids I was with tonight are obsessed with that song for some reason...
Today's picture theme is Inuyasha, requested by Kya-imouto!

Today was a very busy day. Here's a quick rundown...
--7:45 pick up Oberi and Bakura for school
--8:00 get Naota's books from school
--8:30 tutor Nao-chan at home (he's very agreeable there)
--12:30 hang out at the preschool
--1:30 take
Selena-chan to class
--2:00 bring her mom a cutting board (don't ask...)
--2:30 race home to walk Hikari
--3:00 pick Selena up
--4:30 pick Oberi and Bakura up
--5:00 take their mom to 'the tractor store' - explanation to follow
--6:30 babysit Daisuke (5) and Su (3)
--9:30 go to
AJ-kun's
--11:45 finally decide to go home

So, the tractor store....yeah, it's this place that sells lots of farm type equipment and supplies and stuff. Oberi and Bakura don't exactly live on a farm, but they do keep chickens for egg laying purposes, and I guess they're kind of like pets too. They have about 12 now, and ordered 10 more eggs through the mail which should get here sometime in the next week or so. Only thing is, they're actually getting 18, in case some break on the way, but if they don't...anyway, we went to the store to get an incubator for the eggs and saw all these really cute baby chicks and ducks, and, well, you can guess what happened. I am now the proud owner of an Americana chick! It's sooo cute, but I know it won't last long. It's all black and white and so tiny! Their mom bought it for me along with six or so others for them. They're keeping it at their house of course, I can't have a chicken in my apartment, besides which my cats would kill it in an instant. I think I'm gonna call her Akane, so maybe this will help me get over that whole irrational fear of birds thing...we'll see...

Now because of that little chick I've started thinking I want to be a vegeterian again. I can't help but feel sorry for the poor little animals! So tomorrow is dog training. Hikari and I are definitely not ready though. I have just been so busy and tired this week that I really didn't do any of the new stuff with him that I was supposed to. Oh well, I guess it's not really a big deal....aww, I wish I had Kirara for a pet!

It got really cold again today even though yesterday I was able to wear short sleeves. I don't know what is going on with this stupid weather, but it is really annoying me! I guess I shouldn't complain though b/c soon it really will be hot and that will last a really long time.

Thanks for all your comments yesterday, especially about the situation with Nao-chan. I hope things will be better for him next week now that we have decided to send him to school only half days. I think he really just can't handle the stress of all day school, afterschool stuff, homework, etc, etc. so I think this may help some. Oh, I'm glad so many of you knew what I meant about the spinning thing too, that is so fun!

Well, guess I better be off to bed now! Tomorrow's theme was suggested by
Ittoshi. Have a great Saturday everyone!

When will my reflection show who I am inside...

You know....that song....from Mulan? Hehe, I watched that movie tonight! Today's picture theme is FLCL, requested by Faroe!

Well, dog training today went quite well. Some other lady was leaving just as I got there and she had a little corgy just like Ein! He was so cute! She decided she wanted to stay and watch us for some reason and Hikari was a very good boy. So it's progressing nicely I suppose, but all in all, I'm glad there's only 2 more weeks. I really don't like having to go somewhere every Saturday at noon. I'm so lazy...

After training I went with
AJ-kun and his mom to the Natural History Museum. I haven't been there in a loooong time and it's free so it was a pretty good thing to do. It was collectors' day there so all these people were set up at tables showing off colections of everything from matchbox cars to potato mashers! Some of it was pretty weird, but there was this one table that had a ton of Beatles stuff which I thought was really cool.

Of course after that it was back to babysitting again, but it turned out to be really easy. The baby slept the whole time and the little girl went to bed after an hour and a half. We watched Mulan and played her Polly Pocket game. Wow, I have never seen a more shallow toy than that....object of the game: travel around the mall (read: gameboard) and get all the pieces of your outfit. Then be the first one to the limo. What a wonderful message for a four year old!

The parents were pretty cool though, and even showed me where their computer was in case I wanted to use it ^__~ well, who am I to say no? Hehe, so I was able to visit some sites while the kids slept. I also read some more of Tramps Like Us and wow....it's like that manga was written specifically for me I swear! Sumire is just so much like me it's scary.

Oh yeah, I got to watch Gundam Seed before I went to babysit. It was so great! Everything that I wanted to happen did! I'm so glad about that. I'm starting to really love that show. When it first came on I wasn't as impressed with it as I thought I should be, but I think that was just b/c I had built it up in my mind to be really cool so it couldn't measure up. Plus, nothing measures up to Gundam Wing ^__^ but after missing so much in the middle and forgetting what it was like, I'm really happy to be able to be watching it again.

Wow, this is kind of a longish post I guess. Well, I'm really glad tomorrow's Sunday, that's the day when I can only leave my apartment to take Hikari for walks! Ahhh.....it's supposed to rain all day too and then get cold again, the perfect environment to watch lots of anime! Tomorrow's theme was suggested by
animegirl-11.

Can you help me find a way to carry on again....

"Swing Swing" by The All American Rejects

Today's picture theme is Gunther (the wolf!) reqested by Yami-chan and Shinigami

Isn't he just beautiful?!? Remember he's not all wolf, just 3/4, the other 1/4 is Siberian Husky, but I think he looks exactly like Kiba! Wai! I love him! This next one is him chewing on a tetherball...

Well, you all already know that babysitting is wearing me out so I won't whine about it. Doesn't that seem to be the story of my life lately? I've got to do it tomorrow night too, for someone I've never even met! It's a friend of a friend kind of thing....but they have a 6 month old. Bleh. I love kids, but babies really aren't my thing. They can't talk so they really don't interest me. I guess that sounds a bit heartless, ne? Oh well, maybe I am. I've been feeling that way lately.

"Grandmother, what big teeth you have!"

Hehe, my mom actually said that when we saw him. I just finished reading the first Harry Potter book (again) today and interestingly enough, the movie came on tonight too. I recorded it on Tivo since I don't have that one yet. I can tape it without commercials and that will do for now I guess. I saw the most hillarious bumper sticker today. If you're not a fan of HP though you probably won't get it. It looked like an ordinary red and blue political party sticker of some kind until I looked closer and saw that it actually read 'Republicans for Voldemort' Ahahahahaha! I nearly crashed my car I laughed so hard!

Me and Gunther...I was actually going for this pose...

...but he was a bit too energetic to cooperate for that! See how sweet he is though? He's giving me wolfy kisses!

aww, but still, I would like a pet like Gunther. He's so big and fluffy! I think you can really see the wolf in him in that picture. Tomorrow Hikari and I have training again, but after that I plan to get some rest before babysitting so I may not be around much. I apologize in advance though and thank you all for still visiting me. *hugs* Oyasumi.

Tomorrow's theme was suggested by
Faroe.
EDIT: Check this out!
I won the contest! I can't believe it! That just made my night!
