When little Nikki started to grind...

"Darlin' Nikki" by Prince

Heh, heh, that was Nichole's theme song in high school. Here's a picture from the wedding reception of all of us. (Me, Melanie, Tiffany, Nichole and Beth)

Well, today was very relaxing. I tried to get online earlier but by the time I woke up (2:45!!) and ate a bagel my dad was home. We took the dog for a walk and went out to eat with my brother. Then he went to a meeting and I went to my brother's appartment to watch South Park. Oh, we also went to Borders and I got to get xxxHolic volume 2! I can't wait to read it. Tomorrow should be better though, we're going to hear my mom's band at the restaurant where my brother works and the see Spiderman 2!

So, the wedding. The wedding the wedding, it's all I've talked about for months isn't it? I'd have to say it couldn't have been more perfect. A lot of weddings end up being totally miserable experiences, especially for the bride, but not this time. But, let me start at the beginning...

On Wednesday Beth, Tiffany, Erin and I flew up to Pennsylvania. Nothing much happened. Then on Thursday we had Nichole's bachelorette party. We kicked her out of the house and spent the whole day decorating and cooking and stuf. Well, kind of, Beth spent the whole day giving orders and I spent the whole day enforcing them, so we really didn't do much of the work ourselves except for me making macaroni and cheese (not from a box, the baked kind). For Nichole's sake I'll spare you the details of what went on at her house that night and at the bar later on, but you can be sure a good time was had by all. I think there were about 8 girls altogether...

Friday was the rehearsal and dinner, which was pretty boring. I got to see Nichole's mom and brother though which was cool since she practically raised me and I haven't seen her in at least 2 years. After the dinner all the girls had to decorate the reception hall. I never realized just how much work went into a wedding on the part of all the people in it! It was fun though, since I'm not very good with flowers and little ribbons and stuff Andrea and I got sent outside to hang white lights. It ended up really pretty the next night so I'm glad we did.

That night, Nichole and Beth and I all slept in the same bed, which we haven't done in a ~really~ long time. We watched our favorite movie "The Breakfast Club". We can recite the whole thing, it's so funny! Then after Beth fell asleep Nichole and I watched "Fight Club" since she was really nervous and couldn't go to sleep. She was cracking me up because every five minutes she either asked me to explain a part of the movie (which she's seen 50 times) or remind her of something she had to do in the morning. I don't think we got much sleep that night, but she had a lot on her mind if you know what I mean...

Saturday of course was the wedding and the weather was perfect. The church it was at was really tiny (they didn't even have a bathroom!) and there was a stream running behind it so they got some great pictures from that. Everyone got to laugh too because the preacher accidentally called Nichole Michelle in the middle of the ceremony! We also got to ride in a limo, which I've never done before and it was really cool. There was free champagne and somewhere there's a picture of each of us girls drinking from the bottle. It's funny. On the way to the reception we squished the whole wedding party into it somehow and the driver stopped on some railroad tracks. This has always freaked me out even before I heard the ghost story about the tracks in San Antonio but I bet I could write a really good, really morbid story about dying on railroad tracks just after your wedding...

Hee hee, sorry about that! Just kinda came out... Anyway, the reception lasted till about 11 and then after Nichole and Dan went to their hotel everyone went to 'Uncle Rory's' house to party some more. He has a bar in his basement! So, yeah, we had lots of fun for another night. Then on Sunday Dan's parents had a BBQ at thier house. We all had to leave and take Tiffany to the airport though so we missed most of it. And Nichole gave us the wrong directions! Never send four southern girls to a tiny airport in the mountains alone...they ~will~ get lost! We drove 50 miles in the wrong direction and Tiffany almost missed her plane. Let me tell you that was not a pleasant ride for me with Tiffany freaking out and Erin chain smoking and Beth whining about both of them!

Of course it all worked out though and we got a good laugh out of it later. The other three of us left the next day and flew back to Tampa. We thought everything was going great but when we got to the airport parking lot, Beth's car had a flat tire! It was about to start storming too, there were all these black clouds and lots of thunder and lightning. All I could do at that point was burst out laughing! Luckily some nice man came along and helped us change the tire and then we helped him jump his engine.

The wedding picture on here is one of about 600 that are online so I'll probably post more, they're all really great! The area of Pennsylvania where they live is absolutely beautiful! They kind of live in the middle of nowhere and it's really safe, so that was cool, but I don't know if I could live away from some kind of city for that long.

Well, now that I've bored you with my incredibly long account let me say goodnight. It will most definitely take me a few days to get caught up on all your sites again, so sorry! I will do my best though!
