   Very confusing faeries...
Damn faeries!

All right, you all know I broke up with my boyfriend, right? Well, my mom said that since it was Beltane, to consult the faeries, since Beltane is the other night in the year when the Veil is thin. Only this night is the night for good faeries, while Samhain(Halloween) is the night for mischief makers.

So I consulted my faeries.

I also consulted my faeries before asking John out. At that point, it was pretty much an “Everything points to yes” thing when I asked if I should ask him out. You all know the reasons I broke up with him, too. Now let me tell you what my reading said this time, and I’ll let you figure it out for yourself:

First Card/Past: Ilbe the Retriever
Ilbe is trying to remind you of something you’ve lost – a hope, perhaps, or a dream. You may have thought it gone forever, but he is holding it out to you for reconsideration. HE thinks you can do something with it now. The way may not be obvious, but his clever nose has scented a path, a potential opening for bringing this into your life. However, we usually have to work for it.

Second Card/Present: The Friends (Reversed)
When you stand this card on its head, Faery Nuff gets tangled up in himself and he thinks he’s Naught Faery Nuff. Things don’t go well then. There may be spats, misunderstandings, and disagreements. He and his friend may quarrel over nothing much and rifts may occur. It is time to sort things out. Call in Honesty, and his good friend, Tact. Get things back in balance and the right way up with serious, loving discussions. Cultivate your friendships, and plant seeds for new ones. You need your friends, so don’t let misundertsandins or touchiness (yours or theirs) get in the way. Reopen your heart to them and give them reason to reopen their hearts to you.

Third Card/Future: Ekstasis
This card in a reading says: go for it! It confirms that we are on course, moving in a good direction, and that we are in harmony with the great song. It says great joy and accomplishments are within your reach. Its song also lights up and empowers the cards around it, healing the past, intensifying the moment, enlightening the future.

o.o I just read the rest of that last bit. And the whole reading suddenly changed. My god. Okay, I know what it means now, but I’m not going to bother to explain it. (If you want to know what I thought they were saying, read all of it, except everything after “This card in a reading says: go for it!”.)
