   uhhhh...

im sorry i havent been updating everyone. but i'll tell you everything that's happened over these 2 or so weeks.

well first, my sis had a really good birthday so thank you to everyone who wished her a happy b-day!! because i have a field trip in one of my classes this week, we've had blocked sceduling so each class can go. i went on wed and we had such a cool time. we visited the wetlands, that waste waater treatment plant, this other preserve and this one place with a very sad story. you see (the place with the sad story if you didnt already know...) the guy who owns the land there found out that there was an artesian well there. if you dont know, an artesian well is a weel that is dug into a pressurized aquafer so the water comes up without pumping required. so that guy decides that he wants to open up this free place where you can come at any time of the day and fill up a jug or something of this "magical" water. well the epa kept annoying him about the well with phone calls and e-mails and letters. he got so irritated that he ended up closing the well and the orchard of apple trees he had been selling behind the well area because of them. and he put up this sign thats all worn out and torn now but you can still read it. i couldnt read it all but it was how he was very ticked and that he wasnt going to sell the land because he didnt want any new houses to use the well water that the epa drove him away from. it was really sad. well, continuing with my story, we drove through the waste water treatment plant and we walked through the wetlands since some volunteers had built this walkway over the mud and crap so people could walk through it. at the other preserve, we ate pizza and we went into this river to find some small animals, like leeches and mosquitos. i didnt go into the water, but my other friend did and she almost lost her flip flop. she and this other girl waddled all the way down the river looking for it and found it. that wouldnt have ended well for the flip flop. well, since i was on the riverbank, the people who went into the river broght back some crap to find animals in to sort into classes. we found 3 crayfish and a fish in one group and when we had the fishy in there, there were only 2 full grown crayfish in there and they were picking on the fish. so we let the fishy go. but we kept the crayfish. then we found another one and the other two kept picking on him/her since he/she wasnt full grown. so we pick he/she up and started to play with him/her. his/her legs felt so funny on your hand!! she/he almost crawled up my sleve. but dont worry. we let them all go in the end. other than the field trip, last weekend, my family and i went with some friends hiking. it was so kool!!! there was this place called Yellow Springs and it was like almost a waterfall (a very very very very very small waterfall) that was spilling underground water that was rich with iron and made orange marks where the water would constantly be hitting the rocks. but the most important thing that happen to me this week was that tomorrow i dont have school and my sister does!! see my sis goes to the high school and i go to the middle school and we have conferences tomorrow. haha! well mum is yelling at me to get on with my homework. ttyl
