OOOOOH my the santa is near
I think its funny because i love christmas for the present giving aspect only. I know all about the real story, and what december 25th means to christians, but I really like presents and am not particularly religious. This year I got caught up in it and have a huge stack of stuff for my girlfriend. Also I got some trinkets for the people I work with in the lab. It really is a pile of stuff! I just think its exciting to try to figure out what I'm getting too. I'm a really good guesser, but I'm always disappointed when I figure it out. Really what I do is try to make it seem like I'm sneaking around and figuring things out to mess with my gf. I know I'd rather it be a surprise.

Hulk hands are the greatest toy I've ever seen in the last couple of years! I've got me a pair from my birthday and there is no better feeling than fighting someone who also has HULK HANDS! Can you beleive the warning label says not to strike any person animal or object? How could you not strike an object with them??? Thats how you make them make the cool Hulk sounds.
They are also way cooler then "sock-em boppers" or any of the toys which basically swallow your hands with balloons. I've tried them once and your hand gets so sweaty inside of them, its really nasty. Especially if you switch and give it to someone else. Also they deflate when a bunch of 20 year olds are hitting each other with them. (crap)
I personally reccommend everybody who reads this to get a pair (probably just Aleia [you rock, by the way]) for annual gift-giving day.

S-words
You are the BUSTER SWORD! Weilded originally by Cloud in the video game Final Fantasy 7, this sword has a shitty design(I disagree), just like everything else about that game!(this guy sucks!) But don't worry, Sephiroth DID have cool hair.
What sword are you? brought to you by Quizilla
Somehow this reminded ne of the celebrity jeopardy skits on SNL

GI Joe
So this whole 80's revival for me just means the best cartoons I grew up with. GI Joe and Transformers of course are the two best by far. Transformers has seen a bigger revival lately because you can buy the first three entire seasons of the show on DVD now, which is fantastic; especially after you get through the first season. Season 1 has a lot of weird errors in coloring the characters and the plots aren't too interesting.
I'm a total sucker for the stuff anyways. I saved my olf TF's collection from when I was a kid and have them now proudly displayed on my shelves, but also in Toys R us they have been re-releasing the old toys from 1984. I've gotten almost all of them for $30 a peice! I'm crazy i think, I even got some that have only come out in Japan, including the Megatron toy which will never come out in the US because he transforms into a realistic handgun. I always wanted that when I was a kid but they never had it in stores. Now I've paid 80 buck to get it, they must have had us all figured.
Its too bad GI JOE of the 80's hasn't really come back. It seems really pertinent to today since they were formed to fight evil terrorist organizations! You can't get any more evil than COBRA. Cobra commander was so great, by far the best voice in any animated series ever! (also was starscream in TF's)

HiJinks
Ugh, i feel old because I don't cause nearly as much trouble as I used to. I think the amount of trouble you cause peaks and gets less and less as you get older. One time at RIT I poked holes in a box for my arms and head during orientation and put the information booth sign on me. It was fun demanding that people asked me questions. I got this drunken kid to put on a box too, and he fell down a lot. It was pretty hilarious though, he was really dedicated to wearing it.

Down on OB
Lately I've been a little disappointed with the boards here. I haven't really replied to very many posts because they didn't seem as worthwhile as a month or so. Maybe there's just not that much to talk about? Not to mention nobody posts in the SONY boards. Its no big deal, but I haven't really posted in a while is all I'm saying. Maybe thats why I don't get too many visitors (couldn't possibly be because I'm dull)
Anyway thanksgiving is over and I really dreaded going back to school/work.

Boring
Thanksgiving is boring because I live 3000 miles away from my relatives. I guess my relatives aren't really that exciting anyway though. All they ever ask is how's school going and what are you going to do after. I don't blame them or anything because thats about all they know about me is that I'm in school. It'd have been cool to see my mom though. Oh, well I'll eat me some Tofurky and stuffing free of chicken stock and be happy. Its my personal beleif that thanksgiving tastes better as a vegetarian, thankfully I can still eat the jellied cranberry sauce, that stuff is addicting like heroin.

SNOW
It actually snowed here in Oregon yesterday. Honest to goodness snow and it stuck to the ground! I'm from New York originally and am used to tons of snow in the winter, but moving to Oregon I thought I had lost it forever. There's nothing that kills the christmas spirit more than a green christmas. Last year it was just a little cold and wet here, and it didn't feel like X-mas at all. Very disappointing. I'm so happy that it snowed though, even if it is the only time it happens all winter. I could never live in Florida, you just have to take a snowball in the ear at least once a year to keep you humble in my opinion
