Stuff
I've been pretty much overloading on disc-shaped things lately, be they videogames or music. It had been a while since I picked up any new music, so me and Rachael raided the Cd store this weekend. She picked up the new Fiona Apple and System of a down CD's and I bought the new Bloodhound gang and Queens of the stone age. I had been putting off QOTSA for some reason, but I'm glad I finally bought it. I haven't plowed through the wholething yet, but it sounds good so far. Bloodhound gang actually was a little disappointing. I really really like their last album, but this one seemed a bit uninspired and dull. It wasn't really that funny, or that dirty and the songs were slow. Usually they steal music genres and add funny lyrics, but it was just kinda weak on all counts. Fiona Apple was a little disappointing too, but System of a Down's latest is excellent. I don't know why we waited so long to get it, but I'm glad Rach likes the metal.

I've been splitting my time game-wise with We Love Katamari, God of War and Indigo Prophecy. They are all very good and very very different games. Its fun since I can just play what suits my mood at the time. I think God of War is possibly even better than Devil May Cry 3, though DMC3 had a cooler story/characters. God of War is just perfectly done though, and is well balanced with brutal button mashing and strategy.

We love Katamari I warmed up to after a little bit, and is even more fun than the original. Some of my favorite parts are being able to roll around a Sumo and picking up food that makes him get bigger; getting the moustache on the Cowbear level (spits out of the car wash as a present) and rolling up stuff to get big enough to almost roll up the King of Cosmos. It might be possible, I'm not sure.

Indigo propecy is a very cool story, and I like the interface of the game a lot. I very much recommend renting it (PS2, or Xbox). I haven't finished it yet, but its very cool. I have a post on it in Play It that is fairly informative.
