Wooop!
I'll try not to post too much about marriage, though obviosly its going to be on my brain for a while. (Narration): I met Rachael because she was my friend in college's girlfriend, and got to know her through hanging out with him. She was always really nice, but I never really thought of her as girlfriend material cause she was dating my pal. I lived with him for two years and all of us roommates started to realize that their relationship was crappy. He used Rach for money, and she would do things purposefully to hurt him when she was unhappy (the short version). They had been together for like 9 years and really should have broken up a long time ago. They did, and he moved to Detroit for a job. Me and rachael became friends later that year in the summer and would watch Iron Chef and go see movies (as friends). There had been a long standing plan to go on a trip across country (the three of us, before the break) and although rachael figured it was a wash I really wanted to go. We planned and went just the two of us, staying in a hotel outside of Chicago (we could hear a shooting range, and it was all RV's), drove to my Dad's in Omaha, then up to the Badlands and camped. We went to Yellowstone, camped for two days and kept west to Idaho (sucked) and then to Portland to stay with her brother at his house. It was a 16 hour drive to Portland and we had started to really stress out from driving. Her bro had a hot tub and we crashed in that for a while which was great. We slept in a guest bedroom, with two single beds pushed together. What happened was both of us started to wake up having fell in the middle "crack" of the beds. What follows is history and the beginning of us getting one hotel bed for the rest of the trip whenever we couldn't camp. There's a bunch more details, but that's the beginning of it all!
