Russian Techno! AWRIGHT!

So, Festival of Nations. Terribly crowded, so crowded that we didn't get to go to half of the things that we wanted to. Oh well. I got yakitori. And this thing called a Samosa, I believe. It was good. Very spicy, though. But the samosa was Pakistani. I got this new tote (it's a purse! I swear. Ha, I'm such an addict.) that has a traditional Japanese doll called Kokeshi. It was so cute that I couldn't resist it. Also learned how to speak Ewe (it's "eh-way", not "yoo"). Evidentially it's spoken in Ghana and Togo. It sounded quite a bit like French which, when I thought about it, made sense. Since they (those countries, that is) were colonized by France and whatnot. Yeah.
The bus ride home was fun. My friend Lindsey and I decided that our sleepy little town needs a Discotek so that we can all dance to foreign technopop.

All in all, it was a good day.
But one word of advice: Dancing to said technopop in a crowded bus is dangerous. Don't do it.
(But it was fun. . .)

Have a nice day everyone!

It's Friday!

And that means we get to go to The Festival of Nations today!
Our school's Spanish III and IV classes get to go to the Twin Cities to see this festival where we can veiw cultural exhibits, eat traditional foods, and buy folk art and what not. I've been looking forward to this since I don't know when. I'll be sure to take lots of DECENT pictures of this. . . Hopefully my camera won't be stupid this time.

Anyway, nothing too new to report.
I went to the bookstore a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised to find Vampire Knights vol. 2 finally came out. I'm not sure why, but I'm simply enamored with that series.

Well, I suppose I'll speak with you all later.
Bye!

damn you... daaamn yooou...

Ugh. Pokemon is taking far too long to get through. I suppose now would be a good time to stop playing. Otherwise the DS might BURST into flames if I play it any longer.

On a different note, No Brand was super fun. Got stuff... like a Gaara plushie. By far the most expensive thing I bought... oh well. Yeah, the cosplay contest was great, especially the whole dance off thing, and then the "wait, we for got the part of the skit with hot yaoi action!". Yeah. I giggled a little more than necessary that night. Maybe it was the Rockstar I had had that morning... hm...
I didn't really get any decent pictures though, so I'm all angry at my camera. Oh well. I have the MEMORIES, right?

As far as the parking ramp battles went, the whole summoning the fangirls to attack Gaara and Kakashi seemed a little underhanded. I mean, once you get them going, fangirls just. Don't. STOP.
Gawd.

Well, I hope you all had a fun time doing whatever. I need to sleep now so that I don't wake up late for school.

Later...!

Work! It's good for creating odd posts.

It's true. This entire post (except for this) was written at work.

I'm obsessed with the way some people look. If someone fits a "style" that I like, I become somewhat obsessed with them. Not their personality, not their likes or dislikes, just their looks. I might not even be attracted to them. I just love how they look. It seems shallow, but hey, I'm just obsessed with people. Take, for example, the boy who works in the Pharmacy in the ShopKo where I work. He has the *perfect* emo look, no lie. Just slap a little eyeliner on him, maybe flip his hair into his face a little bit and WHAMMO! Insta-emo.
But he's a pharmasist, not an emo boy.
You see? I'm a little twisted like that, trying to fit people to my expectations. I can't help it. If they fit my mental image, they fit.
And I can't help that.

Can you tell it was a slow night at work?

Less than a week

NoBrand Con is less than a week away.

Let's go PARTY!
I'm ready to do some crazy stuff now... Let's hope that nothing drastic and super weird happens that would make it unable to attend.
That would just suck.

Anyway, plans for my outfit, trashed. Why? My little sister. I ditched mine for hers, because hers needed quite a bit of work and some collecting, and I really thought she would be able to pull her outfit off better than I could mine.

So that's why.

LESS THAN ONE WEEK LEFT.

is this logical?

it's snowing. we have a winter storm warning. it's april. what the hell.

Anyway, since I get the odd feeling that I'm not going to go to work tomorrow (or today, I suppose), I'm gonna get all worked up over the fact that I get to skip school and go to Madison on Friday. Go me.

In other news... I finished my sister's ninja outfit for NoBrand. Even if my Lolita costume doesn't get done, my sister will make a pretty sweet kunoichi.

Well, that's it for now. Later people.

ok, yeah, well, that was fun, but it was time to go home

That sums up New York pretty well. I'm tired of sitting in cars... :sighs:

Moving on... to No Brand Con.
Wow. It's all coming at me so fast. I'm very excited to be going again, and I hope that this year will turn out as fun as last year did (which I know it will). The only downer this year? Still can't go on Friday. DAMN YOU SCHOOL! DAMN YOU!
Next year I will. What? It's just senior year. One day won't matter, right?
OK, concerning the costume I will *hopefully* have done for this... I decided not to cosplay. Instead, I started work on a Gothic Lolita outfit for a school project and I decided to use that as a costume. Opinions on that?
However, the outfit wasn't finished in time for the project, and I hope that I can get this done for NBC.
:sighs:
Yeah. Well, I need to go and finish sewing some things...
I'll see you all later.

ok, yeah, well...

OMFG :has a heart attack: Modest Mouse finally put out a new CD. For those of you who don't know, I have had a long and passionate love affair with that band (LAWL) and so this CD pleases me to no end. Yay music!

Speaking of music, or better yet, BROADWAY- I'm going to New York in four days! 4 Days! YAY! After that, April becomes a mess or at least the weekends do... Easter, then an acting competition in Stevens Point, the weekend after is NO BRAND CON! :dies and then comes back to life: Schweet, and after that the next weekend is Prom.
Hooray for never working again.

OK, I need to go do Spanish homework now. Have a nice night everyone.
X3

Village Hidden in the F-ing Blizzard

Yeah.
It snowed here.
Not a little.
A lot.
When I checked, it was up to my knees.
Keep in mind though, that I am just about 6' tall.
Still.
That is...

A LOT OF FUCKING SNOW.
And I was happy because I started to see the grass again. I want winter to stop...

Oh well.
Later people.
