give us this day our daily dose of faux affliction
I hate it when parents can't keep control of their kids. Like today, I had a lady with a freaking posse of children, all under the age of 10, and none of them knew how to behave. I wanted to blind them with my hand scanner. I swear to god.
I also hate it when people wait until the "we're closed" announcement to bring up their freaking huge orders. And I also hate it when said people stand next to the register after I've finished ringing their things up and taken their money and given them their receipt, preventing me, the humble and FUCKING tired and ready to go home cashier, from closing the register and heading off to my house. And while they're at it, those customers always seem to find SOMETHING wrong in their reciept. Tonight's case? The lady with about half a dozen boxes of snack cakes. They rang up at $1.26.
According to her, they were supposed to be $1.16.
Ten. Cents.
BIG. FREAKING. DEAL.
She made my poor manager, Jay, go and check the sticker, which was wrong. She then got snippy and I do believe that if it wouldn't have jepordized his job, Jay would have killed her, or at least kicked her in the shin. We got it all sorted out somehow... but I punched out late and I believe somewhere along the line I'm going to get in trouble for it.
Ugh.
OK, I'm better, really I am.
I got fun news now...sort of. It's really all I've got.
I'm taking a trip with my friend Brittney to Milwaukee on Friday.
Believe it or not, I've never been there, so I'm super exicited to go and spend a day doing whatever it is were doing down there.
Shopping, I think.
Plus, I like car trips. Especially long ones. They give me time to think and whatnot... and this little trip is going to be roughly four and a half hours, if my thinking is correct.
[usually though, my thinking ISN'T correct...so maybe I'll get an official time later...]
But isn't that fun? Oh, yes it is.
:D
