a simple question, kid: are you with me or not at all?
Well this day went from OK to shitastic to decent all within three hours.
School went fine, it was dull, as it usually is, but I got asked to play in the Powderpuff football game after the homecoming game next Friday and I had a good laugh during speech class when one of my friends tried to interpret my dirty Spanglish to make it sound clean. She translated chain-smoking, pill-popping, meth-snorting alcoholic to be a person with severe nasal congestion with a strong affinity for milk.
Then, afterschool, on the way to my little sister's cross-county meet, our van died.
So...we have no car.
I'm stuck at home on a Friday night for the first time in a long while. It's weird, but in the long run, probably good for me. I don't need to be running around with all of the drunken Oktoberfest-ers about.
Did I mention I live near one of the only places in the US that hosts an Oktoberfest?
It's not that great.
At least one person drowns in the river each year...you think they'd learn a lesson...
But on to what made my day a little happier... I got my passport in the mail.
I wondered what the little cardboard box was at first, but then I opened it and I couldn't help but smile.
I can totally leave the country legally now.
For now... I'm gonna (literally) run to the store and get some chips or something... my parents and sister are gone and I'm all alooone.
