the wait is over
That's right. He FINALLY broke up with her. After so long, we can count him amongst the living once again. It's a bit humorous to see him re-adjusting to society. But that's cool, cause at least he's hanging out with his friends again. Oh, and I didn't have to intervene at all.
Now in case none of you in the US have noticed yet, Bush is el presidente again. Now in case you're a total moron: that means he's the president. He get's alot of heat, but he gets the job done. Decent guy, good morals. Whereas Kerry is just a "pushy-puller". Hehe, nah, Kerry seems like on OK guy too. But whatever.
Much chaos has been flying around since wednesday, as well, due to Arafat's deteriorating health. If you don't know who Arafat is, all you need to know is that there will be trouble in Palestine when he's dead. If you don't know where Palestine is, I'd like to suggest you go out and pay a bit of attention to the world around you. But that's just my personal opinion.
As for me personally, not a whole lot has been going on. No phones earlier this week as my dad forgot to pay the bills. Now that's he's paid them, there's no money. but whatever - next paycheck is next monday, so things should be fine, as long as nobody gets into a car accident or runs out of gas in their vehicle or whatnot.
The band, which I play bass guitar in, is currently looking for a drummer. The spot is open to anyone who doesn't suck at drums...it's pretty tough to find a decent drummer around here. Everyone wants to play guitar...

business
Lots going on. Like sleeping, school, and trying to save my buddy Alex from his evil girlfriend Tina. You see...she has stolen him from the world. But there is still hope to get him back.
They've been going out for about two and a half months. Ever since they started going out, all my buddy ever does is hang out with her. All the time. Now I most certainly understand the need to hang out with one's significant other. But not 24/7. They even have all the same classes in school, which means that they hang out every minute of school, sitting next to eachother and whatnot.
This wouldn't concern me if not for the fact that he no longer hangs out with any of his friends. Not me, not our good buddys Derek or Brandy, not even his little bro' (who's actually pretty cool) sees him all that much anymore. Having spoken with these people, and others, the feeling seems to be the same; the feeling that we're losing our friend.
Being the super awesome great guy that I am, I have spoken to him about hanging out with his friends again, however he evaded my question. Which is why I'm quite glad to have heard his girlfriend whining and complaining to him today about a certain chronic habit of his (not THAT kind of chronic!). And about him playing too many video games, which I haven't seen him do in forever, because he's never at home. Yes, I am often at his house nowadays hangin' with his little brother Andre, playing guitar and whatnot. Now that young man is going places, if he keeps on making progress the way he is. Serious musical talent! Good kid. Gets a lot of girls. I'm not kidding! Many a time have I attempted to woo certain lady friends of mine, only to have them attempt to woo Andre -_-
He's real shy and everything so it's pretty cute to watch (and funny). Anyways, there's work to be done in that household (or in the household of she-who-shall-not-be-named). Work of freedom, techniques learned from 3 Ninjas, and negotiatory situations!
Now this may sound cruel, and un-friend like, but the fact of the matter is...well, this is one of those tough love things. Should the end of this relationship of tyranny not end of natural causes, the friends of Alex may be forced to take action in the previously stated manner.
And oh yeah, has anyone seen any good movies lately?

animals
I am currently variating between writing this, and petting my dog, and wating for the fried chicken to be ready to eat. How lazy I am that I ask my mother to cook my TV dinner for me (at lunch time). School got out early today, you see. The rain which has recently swarmed my city has several roads closed, and is seeping into my school.
Fortunately, I live on a hill, so there are no problems. Except for the fact that I really wanna play Kirby's Dream Course for the SNES, and can't find my SNES. But whatever...today I'm feeling REALLY hyper, probably because I forgot to take my ADHD pills. ANYWAYS!
I can't wait for next March. Not only is it the month of my birthday, but the new Nine Inch Nails album is coming out. And it will be followed by extensive touring. Naturally, this has me very excited, being the industrial-rock loving kid that I am. And reggae. And Grunge. And all music, really. But back to NIN stuff! This should make up for the fact that the only venue in my are for the current KMFDM tour is a 21 and older show. And I am, in case you haven't figured it out yet...not 21.
Oh! And I realized something important just now...I have not yet stated how I recieved my nickname, Scarecrow. The answer is quite simple! I am about 6'0", very thin, and I have long, somewhat scruffy hair. One day, my friend Phil said I looked like a scarecrow...enough said.
So I hope evreyone is doing all right? If not, try to find something fun to do. Have too much candy. Watch a movie. Hang out with your dog. Enjoy yourself.

-Scarecrow

PS - keeping in line with my frequent concern for the well-being of people, the 13 year war in Somalia is finally over, if you haven't heard. The new president, I hope he will do good. And I hope oter countries will help Somalia, because the war has left the people with no money, no civil service, and no public property. With aid, I trust things will begin to improve for the country.

about freakin' time!
My mom should return home from her business trip in about half an hour! She's been gone all week, and I'd begun to forget what real food tasted like! And best of all, I have someone to hang out with again when nobody's around. Unfortunately, this also means I shall continue to be bugged about cleaning my room.
Oh, and by the way, did anyone see Lilo&Stitch the series today? With Experiment 199? Hehe, that episodes awesome.
"Hey, you're that guy Lilo has a bunch of pictures of in her diary!"

   friggin' bored!
Ah, it's strange to be on the computer for as much as I have been these past few days. I'm usually only on it two or three times a week, or not at all if I'm busy. So why the sudden burst of posts on here and whatnot? the answer is quite simple.
I get migraines. Alot. And they're painful. Now for those of you eleven visitors to my sight who may not be aware of what migraines are, I shall elaborate for you. Migraines are genetically passed on forms of headaches. Only they're worse than headaches. And they happen whenever they want to happen.
So what does this, of all things, have to do with anything? Well ladies and gentlemen, I have been home for the past two days with one, and the TV has been not-working all day, and nobody is around for me to talk to. Worst of all, my mother is out of town, so I can't hang out with her or make cookies or anything. Andshe makes awesome chocolate-chip cookies. But alas! That is a story for another time.
Right now, with this afore-mentioned migraine, I have in my mind a most important superficial finding. I have discovered, upon shaving today for the first time in a month, that I look quite manly with my facial hair, and ridiculously feminine clean-shaven. Not that it's a bad thing, I'm just no longer used to it. Besides, with my long brown hair (past my shoulders) I'm already often mistaken for a girl. And so it is that I inform you, ladies and gentlemen, that I shall not be shaving very much anymore.
Now some may say, "Whoa now! Fifteen-year olds typically don't have much facial hair, if any!" Now looking at many my age, I certainly agree with you! However, I have the blessing/curse of looking much older than I am! This is good because, well, I enjoy it when people think I'm older than I am. Except for when they won;t let me do stuff I should be able to do, because they think I'm too old.
And of course, everyone enjoys child-like qualities. The hyper-activity, the naive-joy and unwavering trust, the classic sweet-tooth (which I know most of us will never lose), and many other aspects. Take my younger brother for instance. Though nearing the age of fourteen, his mental-disabilities allow him to retain much of that child-like innocence you would never expect to see from one his age. He is quite fun to be around, if a little annoying. It pains me that most people look down on him and treat him bad, because he has VCFS (simialar to Downs Syndrome), and isn't as smart as most kids his age. He's such a joyful perosn to know, yet so many people shun him for the very reason others (like myself) love him so much. I'm certain that all 11 of my visitors would love him as well, should they one day meet him.
Best of all, he can help me pick up chicks! I mean, I'm no pervert or anything, and I would never take advantage of him. But lots of girls seem to like the whole nice older brother thing. Unfortunately for me, my older brother is much better looking than I. Which means that he has an advantage over me with most women, him having the looks AND the kind older brother things going. Many times I have been hanging out with a girl I liked, when they have remarked upon seeing him, "Wow, your brother is hot!"
You see my distress, no? It can be a struggle, but lo, I am able to compensate, or at least cope. Somtimes ^_~ Might any of the ladies in the audience tonight be willing to join in a little audience participation (men may join in too!) ? Input would be most appreciated, but remember this is a light-hearted musing, unlike my previous entry, which I would of course expect you to take seriously! Unlike the dialogue manner which I am using right now, that is really quite fun to use. Try it sometime!
um...this is getting a little long winded...so, talk to you all later!

PS - remember to take it easy

   in closing
Continuing form my suden stop last night, I think things right now are pretty decent, regardless of whatever may be wrong, like lame friggin teachers and missing mothers and what-not, very little will probably be remembered even just a few months from now. UNless of course it's a big incident like that which is currently going on in Sudan. And that brings me to the focus of this writing here today, that's what I want to talk about.
Like many countries in Africa, the people of Sudan were left in a chaotic state when freed from colonization. This large group of people whom had no affiliation to eachother before imperialism now found themselves viewed as one by the rest of the world.
Unfortunately, those who came into power in most African countries were still very tribe based, so now the tribe of whoever is in power tends to get all the best jobs, homes, etc. And in Sudan recently, this had become the reason for genocide. A genocide supported by the government of the country.
They government of Sudan is curently aiding an Arabic militia group in the racial extermination of various tribal people belonging to tribes of suspected members of rebel factions. Men and children, thousands and thousands of them have been killed already. Women are typically kept alive for the purpose of being raped. Needless to say things in Sudan right now are in a grotesquely horrible state.
Yet what do we do? Very little of this is on the news, nobody in the United States government (or any other government, it seems) is doing a damned thing about it. People are much more concerned with Martha Stewart, or Kobe Bryant, or the presidential election than about these thousands of innocent people being murdered.
Even worse is that such things are not unusual in Africa. Quite common, in some places - just not usually on such a large scale.
So I'm just writing this in hopes that one or two people who may not have known of what is currently going on over there to learn of it. Get some more people to at least pray or something, I don't know. It's depressing to know that chances are, my country (the US) ain't gonna do a thing about it, maybe give a little speech. I wish there was something I could do to help those people, and I can't understand why those with the ability to do so don't. They're just sitting around on worrying about themselves.
"The only thing neccesary for the triumph of evil is for
good men to do nothing."
-Edmund Burke

EDIT: As the hours and days increase, so does the death count. I wish I could give a good, accurate count, but nobody seems to be able to keep track. It's only getting worse. And still nobody in power is doing anything.

   business
Lotsa work these past two weeks. Got my first two major projects in school, and got my first job involving the video games industry. As well as my first (unwanted) class transfer in school). As for social life, there've been some interesting conversations and musical discoveries - more on that later.

Working at the World Cyber Games in San Francisco was quite fun. I was on staff actin grimarily as an usher at the ceremonies, and general grunt worker. When not telling people where various events were, my time was spent doing things like getting the boss water, and picking up garbage, and finding food for the boss. It was more entertaining than it sounds :/
The Staff and Players' party on Sunday night was incredibly fun. There was free Red Bull, chocolate cake, cookies, various other sweets and candies I'd never seen before...the food and drinks alone made the whole thing worth it. The giant chocolate fudge cake was a personal favorte of mine. Besides eating I spent my time sitting at a table with the Japanese proffessional video-gaming team, and I think they were very nice. Because I can only speak very little japanese, however, it was difficult to communicate; from what I gather they took very little seriously. Lots of laughter floating around.
Got transferred from one Algebra II teacher to another in school, which pisses me off. It's because they're trying to cut down on class sizes at the school. My former math teacher was really cool, and I was doing good in the class. Now I'm stuck with a micro-managing little dictator...thoough it was quite funny to see him kick a kid out of class for simply sitting next to someone who was talking, and asking them to quiet down. Simply put, this new dude sucks.

Finally, we come to the social aspect of the past several days, which I'm sure all 4 of you who have visited my page are dying to hear about! Now yesterday, Mr. Robertson, whose class I no longer have but whom I still hang out with, burned me the soundtrack to Hedwig and the Angry Inch, one of my favorite movies. I have been listening to almost non-stop. I loned him my copy of the recent Cure CD to burn. Lance and I played with a wrench during lunch today. My mother is still out of town, and donuts and Mac&Cheese are becoming rather repetitive. I can't wait for her to get back saturday.
I'm pretty tired now howeverm and need to get some sleep. So I'll finish writing al this tomorrow. Goodnight!

   what a day
The past 7 days have been...interesting, to say the least. Today even more interesting. Not quite out of the ordinary-enough to break the monotone lifestyle of this city, but enjoyable still. Oh, before I forget, a little suggestion: don't go see The Forgotten. It was pretty lame. The rest of my saturday was fun though!
My friends Derek and Andre and Emma and I all hung out, Emma was confused for a guy (see: short hair) while the back of my head (see: long hair) was confused for a girl. Andre was simply reffered to as a girl for humorous purposes.
Sunday was alright, nothing too serious. Did a little roadie work for my buddy Tim, carrying speakers to the stage and what-not for a little accoustic gig he was doing. My good friend Adam worked the soundboard, as usual.
And so since then I've kinda just been cruising through. But two distressing occurences have impaired the easy skankin'. First of all snoring. My dad, my dog, and my little brother. Close the doors, cover my ears in a pillow - I can still hear them. Anyone can spare earplugs, let me know.
And secondly the more distressing situation of today. An old buddy of mine from middle school who I ain't seen in a while transfered to my school last week. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to like some of my current friends; basically he talked some crap about a girl for no good reason, this girls friend tried to reason with him to please just chill out, and my middle-school buddy essentially told them to screw off. So another of my friends, who is in a band with me and is the boyfriend of the girl who crap was being talked about, gets mad at the middle school buddy. In the end myself and the friend who tried to work things oout by talking had to hold people back to prevent a fight.
It's a real shame, because I know that both my band-mate and old buddy are smarter than that. But when the old buddy is being so rude and hot-headed, it makes me wonder if he still is smarter than that and if I should still be friends with him. His being a jerk to the girl who was trying to just forget about it and be friends later...well let's just say he'd better not do that again, or he's gonna be running short of allies.
Other than this incident my life is good, and I hope yours is too. Take it easy.

   Get some sleep
Booya! Special thanks for the first guestbook comment, it's much appreciated ^^ School started 3 weeks ago, and it's a pain but the days go by pretty quick - at least I'm off to a decent start with homework and all. Thinking about applying for honors english..I could probably get accepted, but I don't know if I'd enjoy that much extra work...but whatever.
On a more social note, I've come to the conclusion that it is unwise to try eating a snowcone while playing hackeysack or soccer; just a friendly warning.
More posts when something interesting happens.
