   what a day
The past 7 days have been...interesting, to say the least. Today even more interesting. Not quite out of the ordinary-enough to break the monotone lifestyle of this city, but enjoyable still. Oh, before I forget, a little suggestion: don't go see The Forgotten. It was pretty lame. The rest of my saturday was fun though!
My friends Derek and Andre and Emma and I all hung out, Emma was confused for a guy (see: short hair) while the back of my head (see: long hair) was confused for a girl. Andre was simply reffered to as a girl for humorous purposes.
Sunday was alright, nothing too serious. Did a little roadie work for my buddy Tim, carrying speakers to the stage and what-not for a little accoustic gig he was doing. My good friend Adam worked the soundboard, as usual.
And so since then I've kinda just been cruising through. But two distressing occurences have impaired the easy skankin'. First of all snoring. My dad, my dog, and my little brother. Close the doors, cover my ears in a pillow - I can still hear them. Anyone can spare earplugs, let me know.
And secondly the more distressing situation of today. An old buddy of mine from middle school who I ain't seen in a while transfered to my school last week. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to like some of my current friends; basically he talked some crap about a girl for no good reason, this girls friend tried to reason with him to please just chill out, and my middle-school buddy essentially told them to screw off. So another of my friends, who is in a band with me and is the boyfriend of the girl who crap was being talked about, gets mad at the middle school buddy. In the end myself and the friend who tried to work things oout by talking had to hold people back to prevent a fight.
It's a real shame, because I know that both my band-mate and old buddy are smarter than that. But when the old buddy is being so rude and hot-headed, it makes me wonder if he still is smarter than that and if I should still be friends with him. His being a jerk to the girl who was trying to just forget about it and be friends later...well let's just say he'd better not do that again, or he's gonna be running short of allies.
Other than this incident my life is good, and I hope yours is too. Take it easy.
