business
Lots going on. Like sleeping, school, and trying to save my buddy Alex from his evil girlfriend Tina. You see...she has stolen him from the world. But there is still hope to get him back.
They've been going out for about two and a half months. Ever since they started going out, all my buddy ever does is hang out with her. All the time. Now I most certainly understand the need to hang out with one's significant other. But not 24/7. They even have all the same classes in school, which means that they hang out every minute of school, sitting next to eachother and whatnot.
This wouldn't concern me if not for the fact that he no longer hangs out with any of his friends. Not me, not our good buddys Derek or Brandy, not even his little bro' (who's actually pretty cool) sees him all that much anymore. Having spoken with these people, and others, the feeling seems to be the same; the feeling that we're losing our friend.
Being the super awesome great guy that I am, I have spoken to him about hanging out with his friends again, however he evaded my question. Which is why I'm quite glad to have heard his girlfriend whining and complaining to him today about a certain chronic habit of his (not THAT kind of chronic!). And about him playing too many video games, which I haven't seen him do in forever, because he's never at home. Yes, I am often at his house nowadays hangin' with his little brother Andre, playing guitar and whatnot. Now that young man is going places, if he keeps on making progress the way he is. Serious musical talent! Good kid. Gets a lot of girls. I'm not kidding! Many a time have I attempted to woo certain lady friends of mine, only to have them attempt to woo Andre -_-
He's real shy and everything so it's pretty cute to watch (and funny). Anyways, there's work to be done in that household (or in the household of she-who-shall-not-be-named). Work of freedom, techniques learned from 3 Ninjas, and negotiatory situations!
Now this may sound cruel, and un-friend like, but the fact of the matter is...well, this is one of those tough love things. Should the end of this relationship of tyranny not end of natural causes, the friends of Alex may be forced to take action in the previously stated manner.
And oh yeah, has anyone seen any good movies lately?
