Final Post of 'This Fine Line" Part one
"This Fine Line" Section 1
After being locked away from humanity for two full years, Elsia who was torn from Khemas arms and locked up with no one to love or even care for her. She became withdrawn and very depressed.
“Sweetie, you are all better now. You can leave.” The young intern Sarah said opening the door.
Elsia sat holding her knees against her chest Sarah sighed, realizing the damage done during her incarceration, Sarah pulled Elsia up. Sweetie, you have to leave.”
She looked at the girl with her emotionless eyes.” Leave, where to leave for. It’s been two years. Moria is running from the law and Khema is gone.”
Sarah sighed. “Elsia, I don’t know where you’re going to go after, I’m only an intern.”
Elsia sighed and walked out onto the frozen earth. Her pale skin matched the snow. The citizens of Riverview watched as the barefooted girl walked in the snow.
“Are you homeless?” A concerned citizen with high pitched voice.
“Home. I don’t have a home.” She replied emotionlessly.
The boy put a blanket around her shoulders. Elsia turned to face a pair of warm blue-green caring eyes. For reasons completely unknown to both she hugged him around the waist, smiling as his warmth radiated over her near frozen body. He smiled to himself and hugged her back.
“Why are you all alone, at this time of year?” the boy voice asked
Elsia frowned but smiled half-heartedly at the same time. “I’m all alone, I have no one. Everyone I cared for abandoned me and moved on with their lives while I rotted away in that freggin mental asylum.
The man wiped tears from her eyes. He affectionately hugged her again. “darlin’ , do you want to come stay with me?”
Elsia nodded into his shoulder. His wrapped her arm around her as all her emotions came rushing back. “I’m Horton.”
She giggled. “Your name is also the name of a pink elephant, anywho I’m Elsia Damion.”
Horton’s eye twitched.
“I’m sorry.” Elsia loudly pleaded.
Horton sighed. “It’s alright” He and Elsia walked to his home. “It’s empty. Elsia don’t mind me, my lover left me.”
Elsia sighed and hugged him. “I know what you’re going through.”
Horton and Elsia walked in. “Horton…”
He looked down at her. “What is it?”
She sighed looking back into his blue-green eyes. “You remind me of Khema Avalon. I loved him so much. But one of my friends killed someone. They tore me from him.”
He took Elsia’s hand in his. “It’s alright. Don’t cry. Khema Avalon is my 3rd cousin. So it’s no surprise to me that I remind you of him.”
Elsia said, do you know Tori Munich?
Horton nodded hesitantly. “Yeah, her and Khema…” he sighed. “ Are engaged.”
Elsia closed her eyes. “Doesn’t that idiot know anything? Once a cheater always a cheater!” She screamed falling to her knees sobbing.
Horton sympathetically pulled her into his warm embrace. “Elsia, please don’t cry. Khema doesn’t deserve your tears. Especially when he went back to the girl who dated more of the Avalons than…”
Elsia put her finger over his lips. “No more.” She looked up at Horton. “I don’t want to hear anymore.”
