DUDE!!!! The summer musical this year is Grease! I'm so excited! Auditions are May 22nd. I can't wait! I've got the sheet music for "Look at me, I'm Sandra Dee" to sing at the audition. It'll be kind of hard, because Rizzo's character is so...well, different from what I'm like, but it's a really fun song to sing, and my best bet to sing at auditions because the director would be more impressed if I sang something from the musical rather than bring something of my own, and as my voice teacher said, it'd be good to sing a song that I can kind of go crazy singing and...I don't know...just show them what I can do. there's this high note at the end that would really impress the director if I sing it well. Yes, I'm ranting, but I really want to make it in!!! Still, it'll be really hard. I'd love to just be in the chorus but that's pretty small, and the school did Grease a few years ago so all the people who were in it then will try out and have an advantage. Oh, well. I'll have to try. If I make it in, I'll have to miss our family vacation, but we've gone there every year since I was a baby, and my mom says I can miss it, which surprised me, because she was really reluctant about that last year. I guess she knows by know how important this is to me. She said if I make it in we'll work around the trip, which I appreciate. Holly even said I could probably stay with her. Of course, this is assuming I actually make it in, which I doubt but...you never know. Well...I'm done.

Pretty good week, I guess. Nothing too exciting that I can think of. We had to do these projects for Spanish and I made a book of poems. I thought it sucked, because writing poetry with a limited Spanish vocabulary isn't very easy, but today the teacher was talking about how good it was in front of the class and I got an A on it so...go figure. Yay. So...no plans for the weekend, really. I might go see a movie with some friends tomorrow, but that's about it. Still working on that duet with Holly for the festival. I'm so excited, it should be really fun to perform. Hm...so...yeah...I have such a dull life. I really don't have anything remotely interesting to say. I drew a picture of Mayu from FF2, but I don't think I'm going to post it. Well...that's about it. ADIOS!

Hooola. So, today I sang in church choir, which was fun, but would be more fun if there were actually people my age in it. Seriously, the next youngest is in her thirties. One of my classmate's GRANDMOTHER is in it. Yes. Still fun. Anyway, after that I went to my friend's birthday party, which was kind of fun, except my friend is kind of immature...like a ten year old trying to act "grown up" so that was kind of annoying. Holly was there, though, so that was cool. Chris was also there...and he told me he likes Holly and I feel really bad for him because Holly doesn't think about him that way-as far as I know, she's kind of closed about that subject-and the way he was talking about it...just made me want to cry, because he's got sincere feelings for her and is an amazingly sweet kid and he can't do anything and I can't help him, because I promised not to tell Holly and I'm pretty sure she doesn't feel the same ay....I dunno. Love sucks sometimes like that, though I don't even know if you could categorize that as love, considering most high school crushes never wind up being love, really. Aaaanyhoo...probably should have posted some of my cruddy artwork by now but I'm not entirely sure how to use our scanner without causing it to burst into flames, and my artwork still really sucks so once I draw something I can actually look back on and still be proud of, I'll post it. Haha. Anyway, that's about it. Adios.

   I'm baaaaaaaack!
Hehe, sorry I haven't updated in a while. Wow...where to start?! I went to Italy over spring break and it was AMAZING. I am definitely going back once I can actually speak Italian. I felt like such an idiot because basically the only things I knew how to say were "Si," "Grazie," "Prego"...and that's about it. Oh, and I learned how to say f*** off but I have no idea how to spell it. Yeah. Not enough to carry on a decent conversation. Anyway, Venice was definitely my favorite part of the trip. It was much more peaceful and less crowded than Rome and Florence. We sang at St. Peter's basilica, which was amazing, but we didn't sound that great. For one thing, it was our first performance and it was all a capella, and the guy who was organizing everything tried to teach us these little Latin songs for the mass about two minutes before we had to start so we were completely lost. We tried to follow along but we were mainly like "uhhhhhhhh....gloooooria!" Still fun, though. Our other performances went really well. The weather was great, too. It was about seventy degrees in Rome and Florence and they were getting about eight inches of snow back at home. Heh. So, yes, awesome trip. Need to go back.
School's been all right, but I've had some trouble catching up from what I missed while I was in Italy. I was supposed to go to our school district's solo and ensemble contest tomorrow because Holly and I were going to do a duet, "A La Nanita Nana," but we decided not to because we've only practiced together once because she's been sick for a couple weeks and just got back to school on Wednesday. We're going to sing it at the Festival Quijote, though, so that'll be fun. OOH! Completely random and unrelated, but FATAL FRAME THREE IS COMING OUT THIS SUMMER! YAAAAAAY! Ahem...yes. Good stuff. Sorry I haven't updated in a while. What to say...Monday was depressing-not because it was valentine's day, but because a senior at my school died in a car crash that morning. Yeah, very sad. He was involved in drumline and everyone in that are really good friends so I feel so bad for them, and for his family.
On Tuesday I did masterclass and sucked horribly. Oh, well. I hated that song. The next opportunity I'll get to do something like that is in April at the Solo/Ensemble contest. My friend and I are gonna do a duet. We want to find one in Spanish so we can to it at the contest and at this year's Festival Quitjote(and hopefully not suck as much as we did last year). I might post some artwork here sometime soon now that I have a scanner. I drew a picture of Chitose from Fatal Frame 2 that doesn't suck as much as my other artwork. Well...that's about it.

Hello. I'm watching Mulan right now. I love that movie. Mainly because the music is awesome. And the dude.....oh crap what's his name....the one Mulan hooks up with at the end...is a hot cartoon character. Just because he has a niiiice singing voice. And yes, I am aware he is not real. Well, yesterday was fun. I went tubing with some friends. It was so much fun. I accidentally ran into a little kid and I was like "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" 'cause I was scared he'd start crying and he looks up at me and grins and says "That was AWESOME!" It was sooo cute! I also ran into a tree. Yes. Not fun. Looking back on it it was kind of funny I guess. Oh, and then my friends and I formed a chain and we like plowed through a group of kids at the bottom. I felt kind of bad, but we had yelled for them to get out of the way and the idiots just stood there. It was kind of funny....haha yeah I'm so cruel. Well, I'd better go. Adios.

Yay! I finally had a voice lesson today! I sounded terrible because I haven't gone over the song forever, but it was pretty cool. I get to work on part of "How Could I Ever Know" from the Secret Garden. I'm so excited. I love that song, it's so beautiful. I stayed after school to watch the one act plays with my friends Holly and Karl(our school competes against other schools) so that was fun. It started an hour after school let out so Karl and Holly and I just goofed off in the library. The first play was really depressing because it was about eating disorders and it reminded me too much of my friend I wrote about earlier. I tried really hard not to cry but at the end one of the girls died and that kind of made me break down. The others were really good though. Very funny. Well...that's about it! BYE!
