This is one of the cooler things to happen to me in recent memory. Since my mom passed, I have been doing things to try to distract myself from the seperation anxiety.
Im going to set a tone for you, I am not into heavy metal, some of it is alright, just usually not my scene.
So anyway on Saturday, I went to Ozzfest, the all day Heavy Metal concert and festival. We showed up to the grounds about 10:30 in the a.m. and waited till about 3 in the p.m. to go in.
The bands I wanted to see were Black Lable Society, heard good things about them and they were alright. Of course there is Ozzy, and he was truley a site to behold. He had Zack Wilde playing guitar, and he too was spectacular. He played the Star Spangled Banner and 'twas extraordinary.
On the main stage:
Lacuna Coil - good
Hatebreed - not impressed, just too heavy for me
Avenged Sevenfold - Great
Disturbed - Fucking Great, did not dissapoint
System of a Down - Was the final act, and I walked out. They sucked.
But here is the coolest thing, watch this video, look towards the bottom right part of the video, you will see a guy with a Chicago Bears Jersey, a backwards Bears hat, and the name on the jersey, MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This guy was trying to tape the show and he got some of me in the footage, for only about the first 20 seconds or so you can see me, but its great. I am now branching out into the internet.
In anime related news, check out BleachPortal.net and see who is going to be doing the voice acting for the release on Adult swim this fall. Spoiler, the voice of Ichigo is the same voice actor who did Vash the Stampede.
