Vash update

Just letting you know the Vash pic will not be "anime," so to speak. He'll be more of an "american comic" adaptation, in that he'll look more realistic. But he'll still be Vash, so don't worry. I'm almost done and will work on the bg soon.

   Fear not!

Fear not, my loyal fans (however many fans I have... I see you all as friends, not as fans, I prefer friends)... I have not forgotten to work on my Vash the Stampede pic. He is about 30% complete. Yes, you think he'll be all awesome when done, but no it's gonna suck the cock. Oh well. But still I AM working on it.

   OUCH!!!

MAN OH MAN!! Some bad ninja decided to jump in during the night and drop me a whole freakin percent! Yikes! There's no coming back from that one... I better post pics like mad, or something. Too bad I only make one every few weeks... But seriously what is with people just saying "no" to my pics... I don't want to sound arrogant or anything but what do they say "yes" to instead? I'm just wondering... Not that I have the best pics, not by a long shot, but really if they say NO to stuff that I've worked on for a while I could at least stand to get some "constructive criticism" in my guestbook or something. Don't you agree?

   Please reply!!

I am working on an anime/manga-related presentation for an art education course I am taking. I need your input!! I am thinking of contrasting and comparing and going into historical/social issues concerning manga and American comics. Since you guys are all anime fans, I want you to tell me your views on the following: Do you read any American comics? If so, which ones and why? If not, why not and which comics that you've been exposed to let to this negative response? Why did you start reading manga rather than/in addition to American comics? What do you think manga/American comics are missing, thematically? Artwork-wise, what is appealing about manga as opposed to American comics? What is appealing about American comics as opposed to manga? Does panel arrangement seem better or more conductive in one or the other, for example? Anything else you would wish to add would be appreciated.

School

Well classes start today. It was a good winter break, although I am not happy about having done absolutely jack throughout all of it. I didn't even beat Star Fox Adventures yet, for god's sake, and I've had that game since its release date. Instead, I started a Morrowind (GotY) file on my Xbox even though I've already cleaned out the entire game + 2 expansions on my PC over the last year. Eh, whatever. I guess that speaks volumes about how GRIPPING Starfox is as a game. I've made about 0% progress on my Vash the Stampede pic, so I should get working on that soon...

   Vash

Currently I'm working on a Vash the Stampede pic. When I'm done I will draw that Kenshin dude (although cooler than he actually looks) and merge the two to create a crossover pic that I hope you all will like. It's gonna be a couple of weeks until the final piece is complete, I think.

MOTOKO!!

Ok I uploaded the Motoko pic. Hopefully it'll be up by New Year's Day. I like the way it turned out. Now I'll work on the requests as well as a D&D Portrait of an anime girl. I'm glad people requested male anime characters, cause I've been drawing nothing but females the whole time.

New pic on the way...

Seeing as my Motoko (Love Hina) pic has gotten the most overall positive feedback (and also because Motoko rocks), I've decided to do another one. Motoko herself is complete, and now I'm working on a BS background that doesn't seem to fit. Expect the pic within the week.
