   Why even bother?
I hate art-related discussions and debates. I hate that everyone I talk to thinks he knows so much more than I do and refuses to understand anything I tell him. Everyone says something stupid like "I'm a third-year art major," to try to add some credibility to his posts. Thanks, buddy, I see you do for college credit what I've done as a hobby for 17 years. I don't care.

Then they accuse me of overgeneralizing when I comment on manga and anime, and in their rebuttal do the same to American comics to try to make some sort of "manga is better" point. Every time.

In the end I think it's because I run into manga fanboys and crappy artists that this happens.
