   Please reply!!
I am working on an anime/manga-related presentation for an art education course I am taking. I need your input!! I am thinking of contrasting and comparing and going into historical/social issues concerning manga and American comics. Since you guys are all anime fans, I want you to tell me your views on the following:
Do you read any American comics? If so, which ones and why? If not, why not and which comics that you've been exposed to let to this negative response?
Why did you start reading manga rather than/in addition to American comics?
What do you think manga/American comics are missing, thematically?
Artwork-wise, what is appealing about manga as opposed to American comics? What is appealing about American comics as opposed to manga? Does panel arrangement seem better or more conductive in one or the other, for example?
Anything else you would wish to add would be appreciated.
