At first Ryu kept falling. The beam of glowing blue light, definitly slowed down his descent, be he was still following. Ryu concentrated even more. He felt as if he was putting every ounce of energy he had into this. In a few moments he stopped. He just sat there, in midair, with the glowing blue light beam thingy, still shooting out of his hands. Everything around him seemed to be tinted a light blue. Then suddenly, he started to rise up, slowly gaining speed and height. Soon he was going rapidly fast. And he was high above the school now. He looked behind him into the sky.
(Please work... Please work... Please work... Please work... Please work... Please work... Please work... Please work... Please work... Please work... Please work... Please work...)
Ryu let go of the beam. He didn't literally let go. It was just like, he stopped trying.
"HAYAHYAHWAAHHHAHAA!" Ryu screamed.
(Note to self: Remember to totally freak out of your flippin' mind over what you just did here. Okay. Back to buisness. Am I nuts or did that whatever that is just say my name?) Ryu thought.
The monster sat on a building not even a mile away from the school. It's purple blanket that it stole from that hobo whipped in the air.
"HRRUUUGGHH," the beast grunted.
It leaped off the roof top, and started bounding towards the school.
"You see that? I think that thing is coming back this way..." Charles muttered fearfully.
"He is. He's coming for me..." Ategev muttered fearfully as well.
Brieanna and Fred just watched.
(Okay. Here comes another little trick I was going to try in a less strenuous enviroment...) Ryu thought.
Ryu jetted straight towards the creature. It kept hopping twenty yards at a time, heading towards the school again. Ryu summoned a ki ball, in each of his hands. He shot both of them down at the monster, and continued firing at the monster as if his hands were like an automatic machine gun. None of them met their mark though. Fortunatley, either the beast didn't notice it, or didn't care.
Ryu dove in for the kill. He was about level with the creature now, whenever it landed. He was getting closer and closer. The monster landed on the ground and leaped back up again. Ryu was even closer now. Maybe only ten yards away from the beast's next landing point. He flipped around while still flying in the same direction. The monster landed on the ground again, right at the border of the school football field.
"Heads up, stinky!" Ryu exclaimed, thrusting his feet into the creature's back.
"GGYYYRRR!" the beast roared.
"Ya don't say!" Ryu said.
"Dude..." Charles muttered.
"I know," Fred replied.
Ryu uppercutted the creature into the air. The creature must have been a hundred feet in the air already. Ryu jetted straight up towards the monster, leaving the ground behind him.
He didn't do anything to the beast at first. Ryu decided he wanted to taunt the beast first.
"See? I tried to ask nicely... Remember that? When I was being all nice and you were trying to light me on fire and toss me like a water balloon? So, let me tell you what you're not going to do..."
Ryu balled up his fist, covered it with his left hand, and slammed the creature down hard. BONK!
"You're not going back to that school to start more shmmffr!"
The creature clutched Ryu's entire face, helmet and all, with it's enormous hand. Then he flung him down onto the school roof.
FEDUMP!
"Ow," Ryu commented.
The monster landed on the roof of the stairwell, on the roof. A few bricks crumbled, and the door fell flat open.
"All right! That's it," Ryu shot two ki balls directly towards the monster, "Time to break it out on you like Chow Yung Fat!"
The beast was trying to find his balance on the crumbling roof and fell backwards, letting the ki balls, whizz by him. Instead, they hit a W.C.P.D. (West City Police Department) chopper and blew the cockpit. BOOM!
"AHHH! What is that?" one police officer yelled, falling towards the ground.
"Or not! Uh... Sorry," Ryu called out.
There were three men. Two of them he caught while they were falling, and safely brought them to the ground. The other fell hard against the ground, and cracked at LEAST two of his bones.
"Oh man, what is that thing?" someone shouted, from another W.C.P.D. chopper.
One of the men who were caught by Ryu still had their radio.
"Uh... This is WC34 calling in for back up! Repeat: this is..."
"What the hell is going on? I think I'm gonna puke," the other man said.
"Be quiet, I'm radioing in for backup!" the man with the radio snapped.
"What was that thing that destroyed our helicopter?" the second man asked.
"Who cares? That thing is getting away!"
The beast bounded towards a bridge. It was very large, and appeared to be made of gray cement blocks. It kind of looked the the bridge over the Hudson Bay in New York, if anyone know's what that looks like.
"Oh no, you don't," Ryu muttered.
"HHURRYYGGH!" the creature roared, leaping from building to building.
"Hey, where do you think you're going?" Ryu asked, grasping onto the monster's purple blanket.
Suddenly, Ryu took flight, being pulled by the monster.
"Whoops!" Ryu exclaimed.
(Again, not the most well-thought out move. Might want to take a night class in mid-air huge monster fist fighting. Who is this guy?) Ryu thought.
The beast tossed off it's purple blanket, into the ocean.
(Oh man, I'm going to toss my cookies and... I haven't even had any cookies. In fact, I'm going to go home and have cookies, just so I can toss them!) Ryu thought.
He was falling towards the water. But not as rapidly as when he was falling towards the ground at his school. He concentrated harder than ever, and he suddenly stopped. And for a brief moment, he thought he saw what seemed like a white vapor moving around him, right when he stopped. But when he looked around, there was nothing there, so he simply dismissed the subject, and flew back up towards the creature.
A new W.C.P.D. chopper had arrived, and was giving orders to the monster, although it didn't seem to be listening.
"This is the WCPD! This is the police! Stand down!" the pilot announced through a loudspeaker on the helicopter.
(Better get my super heroic-butt back in the game. Those cops don't know what they're dealing with. Oh yeah, like I do. But at least I know he tosses ki balls and stuff.) Ryu thought, zomming straight up a suspension arch toward the creature.
"Lie down on the ground! You are under arrest! LIE FACE DOWN WITH YOUR HANDS OUT!" a police officer with an automatic rifle and a scope shouted, towards the monster.
The beast now had a ki ball, in each of it's hands.
Ryu landed right in front of the creature.
"Whoa whoa whoa whoa! Everybody calm down! You put the gun away and you stop with the ki balls!" Ryu exclaimed.
"Stand down!" the police officer shouted again.
"What part of 'stop with the ki balls' don't you understand?" Ryu asked grabbing the monster's wrists, "I won't let you hurt these people! I won't! Why won't you tell me what you want?"
Both of the ki balls flared and grew larger. Ryu and the beast's face were just inches away from each other.
"I have the shot," the police officer with the gun said.
"Well then take it!" the pilot ordered.
"Oh no..."
Ryu was getting that tingling feeling again. Ryu let go of the creature, and dived to the side. 4 bullets made their mark on the monster.
"Oh my God!" Ryu muttered.
"Huufhh..."
The beast was bent over, but was still standing and had the ki balls. The second copter swung around behing the creature, and this time 3 bullets made their mark. BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!
"HHARRR!" the monster screamed.
The ki balls dimmed away, and the beast put his right hand over his bullet wounds. It began to shake. Ryu saw blood pouring out of his chest.
"Stop it! Stop shooting!" Ryu shouted.
"RRRYYYUUU!" the creature growled.
"How do you know me?!" Ryu shouted.
The creature lunged at Ryu, but Ryu simply hovered off the ground and floated in the air. Just short of the monster's reach, leaving the monster to plummet down into the water below.
"Jeez..." Ryu muttered.
There was a big splash when the monster hit the water. Ryu watched it struggle to stay afloat. It slowly sank to the bottom, it's right hand extending out as if reaching for another hand. Then the water was calm.
Ryu turned back towards the two police helicopters.
"Listen, I'm going to go in and get him! Swing down and..."
"You are under arrest. Lie down on the ground with your hands out!" the man from the first helicopter holding the gun shouted.
"What? What did I do?" Ryu shouted.
(Uh-oh.)
"Do not move or we will open fire! You are under arrest. Lie down on the ground with your hands out! Remove your mask!" the pilot ordered over the loudspeaker in the helicopter.
The man with the gun was now POINTING the gun at Ryu.
"Wait... We gotta save him if we can..."
"Freeze!" the man with the gun shouted.
Ryu was getting that feeling again.
RATATATATATATATAT! Bullets sprayed out the gun. Ryu gracefully dodged each one, kneeling, and crouching, and cartwheeling and so on whenever nessacary.
SPING! SPING! SPING! SPING! SPING! SPING!
"Where'd he go? Do you have a visual?" the pilot asked.
"I got nothing. Swing around again..."
That evening there were police cars, fire trucks and ambulances everywhere. Even a few news channnels were there.
"We're live outside midtown high. A school under attack. A school under siege," a news lady reported.
"Is that the last of them?" one policeman asked.
Captain Nunes was there too.
"Who can tell? Place looks like a war zone," Captain Nunes answered.
"Try to take it slow, kid, that's quite a bruise," a blonde haired male medic said with a hand on Ryu's back.
"Not as bad as it looks," Ryu replied.
Ryu had a brown blanket wrapped around him.
"Ryu! Oh thank God," Brieanna said seeing Ryu walk across the grass.
"Flew right over our heads. Told you he could fly," Charles explained to a police officer who was jotting down notes.
"Guess we... We don't have to worry about mid-terms," another girl said.
"Found him under a chalkboard," one of the police officers said talking to Brieanna.
Fred was with his mom.
"Thank God," Brieanna said.
"Wow... Ow..." Ryu said taken aback by Brieanna hugging him.
"Ma'am please, don't squeeze him like taht, he might have a cracked rib," the medic advised.
"What was that thing? Dude, did you get a look at him? Did you see Saiya-boy?" Fred asked.
"Who? No. I got pinned under some stuff and..."
"Dude, what was that thing?" Fred asked.
"It was King Kong!" Charles exclaimed.
"Man, King Kong doesn't even exist," Fred argued.
"Doesn't matter now. The call came in. It's dead whatever it was," the police officer who was talking to Brieanna said.
"It was my father," Ategev spoke up.
Everyone turned to look at Ategev.
"He didn't die at his lab last week like they said," Ategev explained.
"Dude, you need a breather," Fred said.
"That was King Kong or something..." Charles muttered.
"In his lab. His lab. I was there. I saw it. I saw it with my own eyes!" Ategev exclaimed.
"Saw what?" Fred asked.
"He turned into that! Do you understand? He turned himself into that! On purpose! And he killed my mom, and burned down our house, and now he is trying to kill me," Ategev shouted.
"Maybe it's a good idea if you come with us, son," the police officer said, taking Ategev and leading him away.
"He turned himself into that thing. And no one will tell me why..." Ategev muttered.
Ms. Jordan pulled up in her car into the school parking lot.
"Oh my God! Oh my God! Ryu! We saw it on channel one," Videl said, getting out of the passenger said.
Ms. Jordan put on the emergency break and got out immeadietly dashing towards her daughter.
"I'm okay," Ryu said.
"Oh my God!" Videl said hugging Ryu.
"I'm okay," Ryu repeated.
"Oh, if anything happened to you..."
"I'm... OW!" Ryu exclaimed as Videl squeezed Ryu tighter.
"Mom..." Brieanna muttered as her mother looked over her for any bruises.
(Oh man, Ategev. Should I tell you the truth? How do I tell you? If that monster was your father, he wasn't trying to kill you, he was trying to kill me. Or maybe both of us. I don't even know. I mean, why would he want to kill either of us? Why? Did what happened to me happen to him? Ugh. I don't know. I don't even really know what happened to me yet. Does it even matter now? I mean, it's all over. Hang in there, Ategev.)
Ryu watched Ategev get in the car. The police officer started the car and drove away. He could still see helicopters flying around the bridge off in the distance.
There were police cars and ambulances everywhere. The two choppers from before were circling around, still looking for Ryu. There were two boats in the water. 8 bubbles floated up and out of the water.
