The Killika Piers weren't very busy today. There were only a few people walking around. A lot of them wore hats to protect their eyes from the sun. Killika was a very sunny place. A kind of friendly neighborhood area, on an island, with tropical weather.
Killika had it's own police station now, and it took up a lot of space. It wasn't part of the main piers though. It was built on a small island that you could only reach by boat.
The girl who met Wakka the day before, walked inside the entrance. It wasn't very busy. Mostly, just a few of the locals, all wearing blue, either doing paperwork or goofing off, not doing their jobs.
The girl from before walked to the back of the room, where a bald fat man, with a mustache was reading a magazine, about vacation spots. His computer was off. He wore a blue t-shirt, that had his name and: Killika Precinct, sewn onto it.
The girl pulled out a small can of spray that had words on it that read: Can't get out of going to work? Want to get a raise? Can't afford something in a store? Use this spray to confuse your enemies and have them work for you!
The fat man looked up, when a shadow loomed over his magazine. The girl quickly sprayed his face, with the contents that were in the spray can. Yellow mist came out, and when the man inhaled it, he started to cough. He only coughed a few times, and when he stopped he looked slightly dazed.
The girl pulled out Blockbuster Video Membership card from out of her front pocket.
"Excuse me, officer. Have you got a moment?" the girl asked in her airy voice.
"Heck, miss, I got two. What's up?" the man asked.
The girl held up her Blockbuster video card, to show it to the fat man.
"Well, despite the fact that I'm an attractive young girl, what your brain is actually registering at the moment is a middle-aged federal agent with all the relevant identification. Now let's stop wasting my time and yours and take a look at this mutant you boys said you found," the airy-voiced girl said.
"Y-yes, sir. Sorry, sir. I don't know what came over me. Thanks for coming down on such short notice," the man said.
"No problem, son. Ordinary Joes like you and me can't be too careful with all these shifty radioactive freaks on the loose," the girl said.
The fat man got up and pulled a key out of his desk.
"I know what you mean, sir. This little thief, for example, looks as human as you or me. It's hard to believe the freak created some kind of artificial lightning storm when we found her hiding in a tree in the woods only a couple of hours ago," the cop explained, leading the girl over to the door. "Lucky for us Miss Lulu Munroe here hasn't quite perfected her spellcasting abilities, or we'd be the ones nursing a few broken ribs instead of this little minx."
A woman with long black hair, sat in a cell. He long black hair was kept in three long braids, hanging down behind her. A little bit of her hair was held together with two chopstics in a bun. The hair that rested on her head was also put in braids, and stretched back towards the bun. The rest of her hair sorrounded her face. A few tufts of hair, sat neatly on the right side of her face. Then the rest of her hair covered her right eye and ear, almost like a half mask.
She wore lots of necklaces. One of them was a pearl necklace that seemed to wiegh a few pounds. It was a big pearl hanging on the ground or anything like that. Just dozens of small pearls going around her neck. There was another necklace that was made up of green and red beads. It was slightly longer than the pearl necklace, so it hung a bit lower around her neck. Then there was a very long one, with shiny purple plates, and two yellow beads in between each one. This necklace was so long that it sat on her chest, which was almost completely revealed since she wore no bra, and he black robes stopped just short from above the nipples. You would think that if she got doused with water, her top would fall right off. There was no visible means of support. Her robes, had long thick sleeves, that completely covered her arms, and almost completely covered her hands. The only part of her hands that you could see, were the fingers and finger nails. Below the waist line, the robes continued to flow down, but there was a huge gaping hole in the middle. Obviously, very revealing for a woman. Fortuanetly, Lulu had the sense the cover it up with dozens and dozens of belts leaving only one spot uncovered, showing part of her upper leg. Overall she seemed very gothic. She even had orange eyes, and purple lipstick, and eyeshadow. The only thing that wasn't a dark color was a stuffed moogle, that she held with both hands in her lap.
"Thank heavens for small mercies, deputy," the airy-voiced girl said.
KLA-CHIKT! The fat man opened the door, and let the airy-voiced girl in. A bag sat on the floor next to Lulu.
"Grab your things and start running, Lulu... The spray doesn't last very long, and the sheriff will be back any minute," the airy-voiced girl muttered.
Lulu slipped her arm through the bags handles, and followed the airy-voiced girl out of the holding cell.
"You're not another one of Seymour's stupid lackeys, are you? I've already told him I won't use my spells to help him enslave the human race," Lulu explained.
"Relax, sweetheart. My names Yuna Grey, and you're working for the competition now," the airy-voiced girl replied.
Djose Highroad. A busy dirt road, often filled with hovers, chocobos, and quickly moving people. A lot of people on the Highroad often wore hoods, for there were a lot of dealings with the Black Market on the Djose Highroad.
A tall hooded figure, and many smaller hooded figures stood to the side about three fourths of the way down the highroad.
"A little birdy informs me that every cent you're paid by Yevon gets sent back to your impoverished tribe on Mount Gagazet, Mr. Ronso," commented one hooded figure, who's robes were particularly decorative with red and green all over it, in a raspy voice. "I wonder, are all Ronsos such mother's boys, or is this behavior exclusive to the arms-dealing community?"
A few of the other hooded figures laughed and made snide comments.
"Just shut up and check the merchandise before I kick you so hard you'll be gulping with three adam's apples, Steve," the ronso snarled with much diffuculty. It seemed that this Ronso had taken alot of his time to learn proper English. To no surprise either. His race was very much hated, merely because his species had an animalistic look to them. If they LOOK like animals, then they get TREATED like animals. The ronso was holding a gray suitcase, and was wearing a dark blue robe, that matched his fur color. You could see part of his gray-haired looped braids dangling in front of him.
The ronso opened the suitcase and handed it to the hooded figure who spoke before.
"Your staff looks quite in order, young Ronso. I believe the gentleman I represent will be most satisfied," the hooded figure said confidently. He turned around and walked away, a few of the hooded figures moving aside so he could get through. "My thanks for such a smooth transaction, and I'm certain we shall do buisness again in the very near future. The hooded figure walked a few more paces, but the others stood where they were, a few of them watching their master, the others with their eyes on the Ronso.
The Ronso pulled out a wooden spear. It seemed to have broken in half at one point, judging by the bandages in the middle.
"Freeze, you little snake. Isn't it customary where you come from to let a buisness associate actually count the gil in every million gil deal?" the Ronso asked with much diffuculty once again.
"I'm afraid that depends entirely on whether they've just been handed a suitcase full of rocks, my dear, young friend..." said the hooded figure, turning his head slightly.
All the hooded figures except for the leader, and the Ronso, shouted spells, and many conjured, water, fire, ice, and thunder clashed together, causing a small crater to form in the wall. But the only part of the Ronso that they got was his robe. Charred remains of the robe lied on the ground. Some of the hooded figures seemed confused. Others were darting there heads around looking for the Ronso.
A spear landed hard and drove straight through one of the hooded figures, with a loud and disgusting: SCHLUNK! The Ronso pounced on another. The leader dropped the suitcase and ran for his life. The Ronso swung his spear around 5 times, killing them all.
"My thought's exactly," the Ronso muttered. Now that his robe was off, if anyone had been there they would have seen him in his full form. He had messy gray hair that went down to his shoulders, and had part of it in a pony-tail, and part of it, in two looped braids in the front. A horn came out of his forehead as well, but the tip of it was broken off. He was completely covered in blue fur. He had a gray beard two.
He wore two forearm guards, probably used for battle, and had a yellow pendant clipped to a patch of gray hair on his chest.
All over his upper body he wore what looked like leather strips that seemed mostly to be for decoration. He also had a small blue kevlar vest, that went around the lower portion of his torso, that covered his belly, and his higly developed stomach muscles.
For his waist and below, he wore a yellow, and brown battle girdle, around his waist. There was also a red lead line used to lead chocobos tied around his waist to hold up a green sort of welcome mat, that had many different polygonic shapes on it. His biceps and triceps were highly developed, as well. He had a long blue tail, with a gray tuft at the end. His fingers were shaped kind of oddly. They looked similar to a humans, but they moved and gripped differently. Also, his finger nails were sort of curved, and black. And finally, his feet were kind of like a cats paws.
Tears started streaming down the Ronso's blue furry face. He dropped his spear onto the earthy ground.
The girl from earlier that helped Wakka, and rescue Lulu walked up to the Ronso. But she wasn't wearing her usual garb. She wore a long white cloth that covered most of her upperbody, and was wearing a butterfly necklace. Draped over her forearms were faint pink shoulder free sleeves, two metal bracelts, around her right rist. Around her waist was a big yellow bow, that was tied in the back. It had many decorative flowers sewn onto it. The bow seemed to hold up a sort of dress violet-blue dress with flowers sewn onto THAT, which covered the top portion of stiletto black boots.
"I know what you're thinking, Kihmarhi. You think your cover's blown and you're all alone and you might as well stand here and wait for Yevon to come and lock you away, like a rabid animal now that the word is out that you're secretly a Ronso," the airy-voiced girl said sadly, pulling Khimarhi into hug. "But you're wrong. You are not alone. Welcome to the Gullwings, honey."
